I had an unfortunate experience with Bryan who apparently is the manager. I am sad to experience this, despite all the positive reviews for his business. I had inquired to get my windows tinted, as I was interested in the Xpel prime XR for my vehicle. Of course, I had done my research for different shops that can perform the same job. Again, it was unfortunate that I had experienced this interaction as part of my research. Upon my comparison of inquiries of different locations (even more reputable shops), Brian had significantly overcharged for his tinting service. Upon asking for a breakdown of his quote, he immediately declined proceeding further, prompting a high suspicion of customer preying and targeting for those who did not do their diligence and research. First off, support small businesses! Second, had my TM3LR AWD done with PPF, window tint and ceramic coating over 3 years ago. The car still looks like new! Getting ready to sell but on one of my side mirrors needed to have the PPF replaced since someone cut into it with a key. Had Tesla replace it but needed PPF re-applied to it. TL:DR: Stop reading reviews and pick up the phone and call Brian at Exclusive Detail. Brian will tell you what you need and not OVERSELL you. He will help you make an informed decision as well as his friendly staff. These guys are the best. Let me start with I am dumb when it comes to cars, but I am good at using google. One of the biggest complaints about Tesla is bad paint issues. Sounds crazy that a 50K+ car has paint issues but if you look it up there are many people with paint issues. Therefore, I decided to give a few shops a call, many shops just treated me like I was dumb and didn't really explain things to me. This is when I called Exclusive Detail. Brian answered the phone and took over an hour explaining things to me. Here I was a potential customer not even someone he knew but he spent the time to help me decide. Let me also state that I went in thinking that I wanted to do the whole car wrapped in PPF, Brian talked me out of this. I was thinking to myself why? He helped me understand that it is "more then I need" of course he stated he would do anything I want but it would be overkill for what I am doing with the car. This calls to his overall character, he's not in it for the money he's here to help you with a service. He invited me to his shop to come take a look, I was very unsure of all this stuff, and I did not want to spend lots of money to just be unsatisfied. I took Brian up on his offer and made a trip to his shop. Let me tell you, he has some cars there... I am not even a car guy but there where a few cars that were worth more than my home! When I was at the shop, he spent another hour with me (you can tell he was busy because a few times a call came in that he had to take) but he never once made me feel like I was wasting his time. He answered all my really dumb questions as well as made me feel comfortable with the plan with my car. I had the privilege of meeting a few of his staff as well, all very nice and professional. He explained every detail (no pun intended) of the process and helped me understand exactly what to do. After much though I decided to go with exactly what Brian recommended as he already told me what would be overkill for my car, his honestly lead me to trust his judgment. I am a working-class guy I don't have a 500K car that needs to be preserved and he helped me decide what was RIGHT FOR ME. True customer service and class. The work he provided was AMAZING, I mean literally nicer than when it came out of the dealer. His work and attention to detail was over the top that I can't say about many businesses today. After obtaining a 'FAIL' on my NC inspection for my tinted windows being too dark, although I passed last year, I immediately Yelped tint removal and came across Exclusive Detail and Tint. I made a call and spoke with Brian, who was very helpful. He even said come on over and they would take care of me that afternoon. Although the location is off the beaten path, Brian got me there with no problem. After waiting a few minutes my car was pulled in and within one hour the tint was removed and I was ready to go...Just in time to get back to the NC inspection center, at which time I passed. Before leaving I did talk to Brian about replacing the tint, with NC approved levels, obtained pricing and will definitely return. Service was on point and they did a great job! read more

I had an appointment this morning w/ Brian, to discuss tinting my new-to-me '05 MINI that I'm refreshing. He spent a good 20+ minutes with me, walking around the car and discussing my needs. His pricing is fair and he uses good materials (computer-cut, ceramic Lumar film). Some of the work he couldn't do, but he recommended a few shops to me that could get the work done. I'll be scheduling the tint work soon, feeling confident in the result. I'll post back with pics. ---- EDIT ---- I dropped off the MINI early yesterday morning and picked it up, as promised, around 5pm (I wasn't in a hurry - Uber'd home to get some work done). The price was exactly what was estimated and I'm very happy with the tint. Brian uses 40% Lumar ceramic tint (so it's well on the safe side of legal in North Carolina) and it's a very nice pure black color (not the silver or grey/green I've had before). The quality of the work is great... no dust or bubbles to be seen so far and all the cuts are smooth. Very nice work. -- EDIT -- I came back to make a note that Brian pointed me in a good direction for some paint and body work that needed to be done, to Import Paint and Body over on E. Independence. I will not be back, and I'm sure Brian won't miss me or care about it, probably would prefer it to be that way. I went here in November after I bought my altima to have my windows tinted. I was living in SC and was planning on moving into NC after the new year. Well I recently went to have my car inspected and it did not pass for the tint being too dark. I immediately called Brian and he asked that I bring it in to have a look. When I got there, he wanted to drive me to work, drop me off, and take my car to have it inspected himself. Uh yeah, that is not happening, so I drove us to one of his friends places to have the tint inspected, but his tester did not have working batteries, he just told Brian it would be too dark. If Brian does tint, why does he not have his own tester?? As we were going back to the shop, he explained how it was not his fault and that he would give me a deal to not charge me for the removal, just the new tint. While that's great that I'm getting a "deal" and I appreciate that, it would have been nice to know about the NC/SC differences before when I was originally getting it done as I would have gone with NC tint to begin with and I would not have to worry about a "deal". I make an appointment for Friday morning and show up with my car. He tells me I am going to have to bring it back another day. Really?? Well this is inconvenient for me!! His response: "How so?? Did you ever think about why you need to bring it back? I have two cars that are taking longer than expected and I have 7-8 cars waiting to be taken care of." Okay and? A simple, yet customer friendly courteous response would have been, "Megan, I'm sorry for then inconvenience, I overbooked.". Oh no, it's too much for Brian to take any responsibility or blame, an appology would have gone a long way. I took my car back yesterday to be done, not any kind of friendliness, apology for last week, thanks for your business (or me sending him business in the past), etc. from Brian. I'm glad it is all done as I will never go back. Work is okay, but customer service goes a long way with the work, and frankly, he doesn't have it. read more

Exclusive detail will rip you off! Don't go there.. Don't under any circumstances pay-up-front, they are very capable of doing a good-job, but if there is any bubble you are unhappy with, the business will delay fixing it for a long long time.. Brian, the Manager/Owner and usually the only staff member at the shop is an Expert Tinter for sure! He has a lot of experience with exotic cars and detailing. The trouble is, you see, he has got a serious attitude and anger-management problem! So if everything goes smoothly - and he has the time and supplies in stock - he will hook you up and crack a funny joke or two; on the contrary, if there is any complaint or critic to this guy's work, he will get on his High-Horse and stay there, screwing you at every corner. What started out as a routine (and quick response time) tint job, turned into a nightmare: first, he did a sloppy job on my rear window (by rushing to get the most clients out the door), when I politely asked him to redo it, he said he was busy until next week! When I took time off from work, to come in next week, he said: "sorry, I actually don't have the supplies in stock, come back next week". When I came back next next week, he asked for additional money upfront, I gave it to him and he did a solid job redoing my rear window, but forgot to apply the front visor strip - when I asked him to finish the job the same day I came to pick up my car, he said "Sorry, I'm going on vacation for the next two weeks, come back then". In his defense, he actually kept his word! and finished the front visor strip two weeks later (and did a good job). Of course it still took him over a month to fix his original sloppy work, and he overcharged me a hefty amount for fixing his own errors. Would NOT RECOMMEND to get involved with this guy! read more

Great service and location next to the light rail! Brian runs a great shop for both detailing and also window tinting. I have had my suv detailed before and it looks amazing. Paid attention to all the nooks and crannies inside, and the paint looked even better than before. For tint work, I just had the ceramic tint applied. I was leaning towards the more expensive ceramic tint, and Brian did a great job explaining the difference for heat resistance. He demonstrated with a heat lamp so you could feel the difference. This place really knows their stuff. I usually like to wash my car myself, but I just can't do anything nearly as well as they do. I got the high-end detail done on my white 2008 BMW M3, and I've never seen it so bright. It's like looking into a mirror. Brian, the owner, also advised me on how to take care of a few chips and scratches that the car has been "generously given" in parking lots. He was able to completely remove a few scratches, and also fix a few chips and dings with touch-up paint. The detail work is done indoors, so there's no worry about outdoor issues. There's only one place I would take my car in Charlotte if I'm not doing it myself, and this is it. Only down side is that I can't walk to the office after I drop the car off, but if I schedule ahead they can usually give me a ride. read more

This review is long overdue. Sorry, Brian! I had just purchased a used car and wasn't happy with the swirlmarks on it. I wanted a fresh start and so I seeked out a reputable detailer. I sent several quote requests from multiple detailers. Brian immediately responded to me and said he could see me the very next day. I met him and he gave me a quote for interior and exterior. I accepted it and was happy with his customer service skills, his knowledge in auto detailing, the price, and the fact that he did not belittle any of his other competitors. My car was a disaster when I brought it in to Brian's Exclusive Detail. I travel long distance quite frequently, so there was a lot of dirt and bugs all over it. There were also scratches all over the hood that I had been told probably warranted a total paint job. After bringing my car in to Brian's, it literally looks like a new car. He did an amazing job for what I thought was a very fair price. The scratches are completely gone and every inch of the interior was completely clean. He kept me updated during the detail process and never did anything without checking with me first. I also like that he didn't give me a hard time about the state of my car, just gave me some tips for how to maintain it going forward.
