The best part is you can actually make an appointment. It hasn't been open long but I hope it stays open for a long time to come.

My son is on the spectrum and has been very hit or miss when it comes to getting his haircut. She said to bring him in just to visit and then we could try out a cut on his next visit. He met her and I asked if it was ok for her to cut his hair. He said yes so next time he sat in the chair and got a haircut! No fuss! No crying! On the first try! He has been coming here ever since. Ivana exhibited the type of patience needed to deal with ASD kiddos and as long as we are in the area, she will be the only one to cut his hair! Thanks Ivana!

Been going to Friels Barber Shop for a couple of months now…read more My barber is Geoff Fifield. The man is an artist. An average person has around 100,000 hairs on their head. Geoff seems compelled to make sure every single one is in its proper place. I cannot recommend this establishment enough. Every single haircut I have seen performed there, without exception, looks phenomenal. It doesn't matter whether you are a 47-year-old man fighting follicular decline like myself, or a 6-year-old who cannot decide which chair cloth he likes best. The Spider Man one is by far the best choice, but most of the kids pick fishies. Their decision baffles me. This shouldn't be called a barber shop. It is a Transformation Center. Go there. Now. Note: I believe they work by appointment only, using the Vagaro app. https://www.vagaro.com/frielsbarbershop

Both guys really care about the cut and have good fun conversation. I have moved an hour away and tried 5 different barber shops and about 7 or 8 barbers. Highly highly recommend!!…read more Been there about a dozen times and I absolutely LOVE this place. Hot towel shaves are ON POINT and while Vin is my barber, Pete the owner is a hell of a barber and it's easy to see his standards are shared and upheld by his staff. You walk in and you're greeted by vintage barbershop decor, which I dig a lot and no matter what they all stop to say hello and they're always quick to ask if you need a bottle of water or an espresso. I can say pretty confidently that you probably didn't get Fuji or espresso back in the 30's & '40s lol so I'd call it an old school feel with a modern spin. It's not trying to be something it isn't and it's a great addition to our community. Highly highly recommend!!
