I walked in to. find staff with clipboards walking all over the place like waitstaff at a busy restaurant . Then I saw the signs saying CHECK IN and also Check Out . A bit like the check-in desks at a busy airport. I was checked in quickly and directed to take a seat in the waiting area . It was like a scene I experienced in crowded doctor's office in India many years ago. There had to be 40 people in the waiting area , all holding their clip boards and paperwork . Staff , with the obligatory clip board , walking in calling the first name of the next patient . I thought , this will be my last visit to this place. I waited 45 minutes to see my provider , not unusual these days . Staff led me to the examining room and I was amazed to see TWENTY examining rooms , I got room 9 . Eventually the Physiatrist came in, no long wait . Introduced himself , failed to introduce the presumed scribe that came in with him. I got the sense I was being rushed and in a conveyor belt experience. The doc did seem to be skilled and I will return and see what visit two is like . At check-out I was taken care of by someone whose name tag said "Director of Operations". He was very pleasant and quick . Good to see he was on the front lines working with the grunts .

After surgery, I continued to have pain and so I was sent every 2 to 3 months for knee injections which never helped. I kept asking for imaging and was told it's just how my knee healed. After Douglas retired. I asked why I was never given the option for Moore imaging and his nurse practitioner sent me for imaging. It turns out I needed a complete knee replacement so I did had Dr.Hlubik do my knee replacement. Days later, I went back to get my stitches out, and my leg was on fire. It hurts so bad . I was told it was normal . I told his PA Nolan I was going to the emergency room for imaging when I left the office . A half an hour later he called me to tell me to go to Windsong to get an ultrasound . Had to be poured on blood thinners because there were too large blood clots in my leg. From that point on I was completely forgotten about for a month. I kept calling and messaging my patient portal asking for physical therapy and nobody answered the patient portal and the women that answered the telephone would tell me there was never an authorization for PT. Finally my insurance company sent me the pre-op that was dated April 2025.! The same day the operation was authorized. Finally in August I was allowed to go to physical therapy. I got apologies up and down from a patient's advocate, and then Dr. Hlubik called me to apologize. I don't blame him entirely because it's his team that let me down.. I will forever beyond blood thinners because the blood clots are still in my leg. I was never able to return to my career for New York State.. which affected my retirement. And I don't know if anyone has checked lately but blood thinners run about $300 a month.. in case anyone's wondering I've had quite a few surgeries and never developed a blood clot and I was a very healthy 52 year-old woman when they started. Thanks for ruining my life and my career Excelsior orthopedics. I am searching for an attorney.

I was admitted to ECMC and my surgeon was Dr Mutty. It was a Saturday and I wasn't going to have it repaired till Monday. Monday came quickly and I was taken for repairs after meeting with Dr Mutty again. He explained that there would be two plates needed one on each side of the leg and all that went with that signed my leg and I would see him on the other side. The surgery went well and indeed he came to check on me and explained everything that had transpired and I had post op appointments to see him in about 3 weeks back at ECMC. Every detail of my care and needs was set up before I was released. About four weeks later I saw him again and had the hard cast removed and and the staples and stitches removed. And tape put across the surgical sites. Then I was fitted with a boot and given instructions about not putting any weight on it and another follow up appointment. I had home physical therapy as well. By my appointment in November I was free of the boot and had crutches and compression socks. Each and every appointment the staff at Dr Mutty's office were absolutely wonderful. They were friendly and helpful. In his office and in X-ray. Dr Mutty was comforting when I thought I would never be able to walk normally again and reassured me that I was on track in my healing and he was absolutely correct. Now I'm almost embarrassed to say that I've been through this before on my other leg about 9 years ago. It wasn't as bad a break but I felt very comfortable using UB Orthopaedics again because I knew they did good work. They have their own Physical Therapy departments. One is in ECMC and one is on Harlem rd in the high office building across the road from Chucky Cheese. I would highly recommend them if you break a bone and the ambulance driver asks you which hospital you want to go to. ECMC and UB Orthopaedics surgeons.

A recent injury required me to receive an MRI after PT was not fully able to address and relieve the pain. That MRI report came back unremarkable, even though I had a concerning amount of pain and discomfort. My PCP scheduled an appointment with a different physiatrist who also claimed to have reviewed the film and said there was nothing wrong in the area of concern and that it was absolutely coming from a previous injury elsewhere. I was not content with his findings so I went to Dr. Geraci for a second opinion. What I immediately appreciated is that he performed a physical evaluation first to check for symptoms prior to reviewing the images and report in order to have an unbiased opinion. After the physical exam, he felt there was an issue in the area that initially came back unremarkable and then went to review the images. Within five minutes, he found the protrusions on the MRI images that everyone else missed. As a result, the report was re-reviewed and amended by another radiologist who concurred with Dr. Geraci's findings. Had I not gone to Dr. Geraci for a second opinion,, I'm not certain my injury would have healed and potentially could've gotten worse. Highly recommend.

And within a month the pain was completely gone. She helped completely transform my first pregnancy, and I'm eternally grateful to her for that gift. I always looked forward to my time with her, not only because I'd feel better physically after being with her, but because I always felt better mentally too. In addition to her expertise in prenatal chiropractic care, she also practiced as a birth doula for 20+ years. So she comes to the table with a breadth of knowledge on prenatal care, birth, and wellness. I always loved picking her brain during our time together. For all of these reasons, and more, I sought her care during my pregnancy with my second son as well. I learned after 34 weeks that my son was in a breech position. I was fairly adamant about avoiding a C-section and I knew Dr. Jessica could help. After a few weeks of consistent appointments with her, baby boy was in the optimal head down position. I was so excited and relieved, and I knew that Dr. Jessica truly shared in this joy. I continued to see her through the remainder of my pregnancy, and I'm confident that our time together helped prepare my body for the birth that I intended to have. It's not easy to find practitioners that you can fully trust, but also just enjoy being with. Dr. Jessica is one of those people. And incredibly skilled practitioner, who would literally drop anything to help her patients, and honesty just a beautiful person all around. So thankful to have her in my life!

Everyday people come in impatient and not conscious that they aren't the only person in need of help, not understanding how the system works, not realizing that the staff members are in the process of helping someone who was there before they arrived. They only see a staff member standing not behind their desk talking to someone and assume they aren't working. Then as other patients in the waiting room, you get to hear their whole assessment and opinion of the quality of work or lack there of the staff member who is in fact working very hard helping someone else. And when the staff member returns to their window to assist that person, they are as cheerful and helpful as if they never heard any of the clients opinions. This happens everyday all day and everywhere where people are helping other people. To say that they deserve a big huge thank you for your eternal kindness and patience is an understatement. On behalf of all of the other people who see how hard you work and how under appreciated you are, I thank you. You have all been consistently cheerful and helpful each and every time I have come there. So on this Thank You Thursday and every other day , know that you are in fact appreciated.

Three requests were needed, a follow up call today was disconnected three times trying to reach med records. I appealed to a woman who answered the phone regarding my frustration with the run around and was told "you will not get any help unless you change your tone". I should have said you are not my mother and I am not a child and do not speak to me in that tone. Trying to reach the office manager would be futile, as she wouldn't return the call.

It took minutes for someone to answer my call to make my appointment back in February, I received detailed instructions well in advance about how to prepare and what to expect prior to and on arrival. There was plenty of available parking and accessible entrance. I barely had time to sit down before being called back for registration. I was greeted by a very pleasant patient care worker who provided detailed instructions for my ride, took my insurance info and got me squared away. I don't think I was in the lobby more than 10 minutes before being escorted by a very cheerful and friendly nurse who took my vitals, gave me ample time to change into my gown. She was very skilled at getting my IV started and calmed my little fears. I then was escorted to the exam room where I again was greeted by warm nurses who were very attentive and explained again what was going to happen, estimated time it would take and how the rest of the day would go.
