Well it's spring now and I have 3 different types of grass growing, low spots where water just remains. Nice guy but not what I expected after paying all that money. If you do make sure you get a signed contract and be careful what he wants to charge. After my family acquired a rental property in the city of Whittier and lost the gardener of record in the process, a tenant at the building immediately recommended Da'vila Landscape. QUICK BIO Founded by David Davila Sr. in 1976, he started his experience from the bottom in gardening which eventually grew into other aspects of landscaping that included commercial and residential projects. SERVICE Regularly-scheduled every Wednesday around 10am, a small crew of no more than two individuals (usually just one) would show up and simply get to work. Rarely were there anything major that needed to be done, so they were in and out within 30 minutes with nicer-looking foliage and having cleaned up after themselves. There were a few times when I had special requests which might've been out of their scope of responsibilities but courteously fulfilled my request nonetheless without question. The communication has always been easy and efficient. I'm thankful for the mainly hands-off management I've had with them - great job https://www.yelp.com/user_local_photos?select=LkPNdjMrkLM7Au9l_XBUUw&userid=8jVT2inwc8GIQ6sH2UG9Vw! PARKING (N/A) Since their business was all about coming to your location, out of courtesy you tried to have a convenient spot for them to park their vehicle. Otherwise, they were more than happy to park out on the street. ATMOSPHERE, DÉCOR, AMBIENCE Although I'm almost certain they had an actual office building, that was rather inconsequential since the real place of business was at any given property where the service was needed. https://www.yelp.com/user_local_photos?select=qK7eFEgD5Jncqad-EgBnzw&userid=8jVT2inwc8GIQ6sH2UG9Vw ATTIRE Totally casual, so I would normally be in a t-shirt, boardshorts, and flip-flops. OVERALL Obviously, if I was still dealing with Da'vila Landscape as we neared a 4-year anniversary business relationship, things were looking positive. Although they were a full-service operation, we only needed minimal efforts from them https://www.yelp.com/user_local_photos?select=noo413agqtHj7pCs5unhnQ&userid=8jVT2inwc8GIQ6sH2UG9Vw. From top to bottom I've had no issues and appreciated the fact that I didn't have to manage them. They were professional, worked efficiently, had comparable rates, and whenever possible I liked to support small family-owned businesses. I found total value based on the prices, service, and experience noted above (TOTAL paid experience was around $120.00/month; no tip required). And, although I paid by check which was common in this type of industry, I wasn't aware whether or not they accepted my credit card of choice... AMEX! 4.0 STARS

We also…read morereally liked their approach to outdoor spaces - making them beautiful, but also practical and designed around how you'll actually use them. Jonathan and team completely transformed our backyard in under a month. They installed a new lawn, TimberTech deck, native plants, irrigation and drainage, lighting, and tied our existing front-yard irrigation into the new system. The design process was easy and affordable, and Jonathan was on site every day. He was communicative, thoughtful, and paid attention to the little details throughout the project. The whole crew was great to have around and kept everything clean at the end of each day. They even did a thorough final cleanup of the windows and doors around the yard. What we appreciated most was that their care didn't stop once the project was finished. They came back to fix a faulty sprinkler head and later trenched along the grass by the deck when we realized skunks were trying to get underneath. We love how the backyard turned out and how much more we actually use the space now. We'd absolutely recommend Herencia and happily work with Jonathan and team again.

Once construction started, Jonathan and his team were excellent. They arrive promptly each day and cleanup well. Jonathan is knowledgeable, professional, and clearly takes pride in his work. What stood out most was his communication and transparency. He provided daily updates, either by text or in person, walking me through the progress and explaining what was coming next, which gave me a lot of confidence throughout the project. I also really appreciated his fantastic customer service and follow-through. For example, the game light I purchased arrived broken from the manufacturer, and Jonathan came back promptly after the project was finished to install the replacement once it arrived. The entire project took about a week, and the final result exceeded my expectations. The court and surrounding landscaping look amazing, drain properly, and have completely transformed our backyard. Seeing my son excited to play on it every day makes it even more worth it. I highly recommend Herencia Landscaping to anyone looking for high-quality, reliable, and professional outdoor work.
