There were square footage calculations that required additional tile purchases mid-application. Questions were glossed over. He's very strident about documenting that you agreed with something, even if it's friendly ("I like that one" "YOU APPROVED IT!")- a general defensiveness that just screams, "I'm expecting you to come at me so I'm coming at you first!!" It creates a tense atmosphere that's totally unnecessary. Again, we all have jobs that go bad, and he'd probably review me as a dumb broad who didn't know what she was doing... but I think that's most people and I thought I'd hired a company to guide me through it

I went with another company initially, with a higher price point, because I thought I was getting an actual wrought iron product. Nick at Coachella Valley Custom Gate and Fence followed up with me and helped me figure out that I was misled by the provider I had chosen. His product was the same as the one that I selected (not wrought iron), but HIS PRICE WAS 30% LESS THAN THE COMPETITION! He and his team got the job done quickly, efficiently, with great communication and even better follow up and follow through. The fence looks great too. All good so far but the best experience was a follow up after I clipped the gate with a golf cart. I contacted Nick and he came out next day, fixed the gate, and sent me an invoice for $25. $25!!! You can't get a service call from a service provider these days for less than $150! To me this was an example of an honest company interested in providing service above and beyond the competition.
