Excel Electrical Technologies - Ev Charger In Garage - Electricians Near Me - Orland Park, Illinois

We were having with our over the counter low voltage lights. In our kitchen. Omar diagnosed the problem in an hour. But didn't have the correct transformer on the truck. He came back the next day, and replaced the transformer. All work done well. When it came to paying him, my wife misunderstood the charge. And made out our check for the wrong amount. She over paid him by $35.00. We felt the mistake was our fault. And didn't say anything. About a week later. Excel sent us a check for the difference. Who does that now days? Most would just stick the difference in their pocket. And not said anything Its nice the find an honest man. I would call Excel next time I need an electrician. read more

Excel installed new lampposts in a few sections for our HOA. They look great! Looking forward to them doing more sections for us next year. I recommend them without hesitation. read more

We just had to have our breaker box replaced and several electrical issues fixed at our home. We got 3 estimates and Excel Electrical Technologies out of Orland Park was very reasonable. Their techs that came out were extremely knowledgeable. They were very respectful and cleaned up after their work. We can't say enough about Excel Electrical read more

Excel Electrical in Orland Park is great. The Manager Omar came out to assess the work that was needed right away (and it wasn't even an emergency) and provide a price (reasonable). Omar reassured me the electrical system did not need the very expensive upgrades and replacements two other electricians advised. He also showed me on paper with calculations and demonstrations why the upgrades were not needed. Had I known this I would not have waited more than a year to have a short out circuit fixed. Alixi the Project Manager performed the repairs. He was soft spoken, polite and even tolerated my dog that barked the entire morning. Neither of them judged the way my house looks (work in progress). Please give them the opportunity to assess the situation. I will definitely be calling them back for additional work next year. read more

I was looking to get a Tesla Wall Connector Installed. Unfortunately, my breaker box was inside the house instead of the garage, making installation a bit more complicated. I was quoted almost $4,000 for installation by 4 Seasons. I decided to get a second opinion and Omar came the next day to do an estimate and explained what needed to be done and answered all my questions. The cost of the installation including all the necessary materials came up to only a third of what 4 Seasons quoted. On the day of installation, the electricians came on time and was very courteous. As you can see from the photo, they took great care prepping the work area. Once they were done, they made sure everything was as clean as possible and stayed to make sure the charger was working flawlessly. I'm extremely satisfied with the service they provided and would definitely recommend them to anyone looking to have an EV charger installed or needs any electrical work done. Thank you Excel Electrical Tech! read more

I scheduled Excel to come over and replace my doorbell transformer, change our two outdoor lights to motion detector lights, and replace a light fixture in backyard with the exact same brand and stock item because the rust had made it impossible to change the lights on the old one. The fellow arrived with a doorbell transformer that did not fit my description that I gave their office, so he got on the phone with his boss for 10 min, and he figured out the one he had would also work (it does seem to work although it's not the one I requested from Excel that ADT recommended for their Ring doorbell so I guess stay posted whether ADT thinks it's the right one when they come back out). Then, on to the front lights. I thought they were making the existing lights motion lights or even lights that go on at night (putting them on a timer). He gets on the phone again with his boss for 10 min and offers to go out to buy lights, but I like the look of my existing ones, and I don't want to pay for an electrician's time buying lights. I guess they thought I had bought new lights to install. So, we decide to forget that job. He, then, replaced the outside back light with same kind. Total for job? $390. Hmmm...seems a bit high to me. Transformer costs $10-25.00 so that was his only part. He was not here more than 90 min and some of that was phone time with boss. If he's confused about a job, I should not be paying for his time on the phone. I think about the time it took for the two items, and it should have been more like $200-total, not $400. I felt cheated which is too bad--first time this company came out, around 8 years ago, I thought they were amazing. I actually kept their contact information for 8 yrs....but not anymore. read more

This company is EXCELLENT! Their level of honesty and integrity is hard to come by these days and the work is superior. They rewired my entire home at a great price. I referred to friend who thought she needed rewiring but didn't. They were honest letting her know she didn't need that level of electrical work instead of charging for something that wasn't needed. You can't go wrong with this company. Quick response time, they clean up behind themselves and are very professional. I recommend they to all of my family and friends. read more

Prompt, professional and courteous! Both guys wore booties and face masks. Replaced (3) kitchen ceiling light fixtures, (2) flush mount and (1) hanging fixture. Completed the work in 1 hour. Very fair pricing! Would definitely use Excel for future electrical services. Thank you! read more

We received timely and excellent services for electrical work for our kitchen. However they are a bit pricey. We didn't realize how pricey they were until we started started remodeling our basement at which time we obtained a quote from Excel Electrical and another Electrical company. The quote we received from the other electrical company was 1/2 the price, of the quote we received from Excel's. Excellent work but definitely shop around read more

Highly recommend using Excel Electrical Technologies. Omar responds very quickly to calls/texts. It was a pretty large job of converting the house from cloth wiring. The price was fair and the work was outstanding. Israel and Doug (the electricians ) were professional, very knowledgeable. They answered every question I had and cleaned up after themselves. I was very impressed with this company and the employees. I will be using them in the future, and will recommend them to family and friends. Excellent work!!! read more

Unprofessional. High prices. Replaced one switch and was supposed to come back for the second part of the job. However they never showed up when they said they would. We hired another electrician who did an awesome job for 1/2 the price!! Then we were hounded months later for payment for the first part of the job. In my opinion since we lost a day of work waiting with no call there should have been a discount or something for inconveniencing us. Instead we received multiple calls for payment. Good riddance! read more

I've not received any incentives to write this review. Excel did amazing work. They were focused, efficient, flexible, neat, courteous and very affordable. Minor corrections/modifications were addressed immediately and to our complete satisfaction. I was most impressed by how Omar and his crew worked with us in the planning stages. They listened closely, offered solid advice and did quality work. We'll be calling them again as we do more. Highly recommended from a fairly critical and cautious homeowner. read more

I'm very lucky to live close to Excel, as I'm very impressed with their professionalism and quality of work. Rates are reasonable, particularly given their guarantee (10yr on work, 5yr on materials). Response time was 90 minutes to return initial message, 1 HR for technician to arrive, and the issue was troubleshot and resolved onsite within an hour. Thank you Israel (electrician) and Omar (manager)! read more

I normally don't write reviews, but Omar did an excellent job and the price was reasonable, I would definitely recommend this company. He was very knowledgeable about what needed to be done and fixed it in an hour. read more

I have worked with Omar and his team for a few years. He has done multiple installs for me as well as consultations. I have been happy with all the work he has done. More importantly though he is friendly, communicative and he doesn't make you feel intimidated at all about something you don't have a lot of knowledge about. I will continue to use him and his team and cannot recommend Excel and Omar enough. read more

I had a utility pole downed in my backyard from a windstorm - turns out I own the pole (I didn't think it was possible to OWN a utility pole - it is). I called three electricians and Excel was the only one who could send someone to review and provide and estimate ASAP (I called at 11am and had someone over at 3pm). (The estimate = final price. Another bonus.) Omar at Excel was so professional and patient with my questions and even helped me with a non-electrical issue at home! His team was polite (yes, another bonus), professional and simply did great work - FAST. It was so hot during the 2 days of work (90+ degrees) and they kept going, quickly and efficiently. I am amazed at the job and am SO GLAD I picked them. I did so based on other reviews, and now that I have been a customer I wholeheartedly agree: Excel does REALLY GOOD WORK and each team member I dealt with was polite and professional (bonus!). PS. If you can see my profile you can see I pretty much never post reviews, so perhaps that says something about how strongly I feel.... they did great work and other reviewers helped me pick them....) read more

About a year ago Excel Electric installed a portable generator transfer switch to my house and it works perfectly...I didn't hesitate to call them again when I needed a ceiling fan installed, shortly after leaving a message stating what I needed, the owner Omar returned my call and I explained to him that I was trying to install the ceiling fan myself but I got confused with the wiring...Omar stated he would be more than happy to send somone out to finish the job, then Omar explained to me over the phone the correct way to wire the ceiling fan and it is working perfectly...I would give Excel 10 stars if I could. I highly recommend this company..Thanks Omar. read more
