So, first let me say their work is impeccable. However, I'm not so sure about the ethics of the owner ultimately nor that it was worth the loss of my engagement ring. I had an emergency situation where I'd had no power to due a tree taking out my riser. They stayed late to make sure everything was connected the first day so I could get ComEd to reconnect my lines. HOWEVER...that's when I realized one of them had stolen some cash from me as well as my engagement ring. I had a couple of long talks with the owner, Terrius Winter, and we were both pretty sure how the situation went down. He even admitted to me that he had cut ties immediately with the young man in question because it left him with such a bad feeling in general. He claimed he was unable to pay me for the ring in full at once & offered to make payments. Since we seemed to be on the same page I did not feel the need to file a police report and and cause him problems just because he had given a young man a chance that didn't go well. He made 2 payments & when he was making arrangements for the 2nd one he asked me if he could just pay me for half of the ring. I explained the numerous reasons why that wasn't something I could agree to & we left it at that. The following month he ignored me. This month he responded that he had made his last payment. So after admitting that one if his workers robbed me while on the job, agreeing to and making 2 payments (equaling only 1/4 of the cost of the ring) to try and compensate us for the vintage ring, which let me remind everyone was MY ENGAGEMENT RING, he just decided he'd made enough payments. And no matter the monetary value, it was priceless to me. I haven't even gotten married yet. And now, thanks to the theft & Terrius' decision that he has compensated me enough, I will be getting married without an engagement ring, So, again, great electrician, just make sure you follow everyone around & count things before they leave, because even if he agrees something happened, he's not upstanding enough to make sure you'll be made entirely whole again. And he'll also decide what it's worth.
Sadly now I think he might just be a bit shady. My mistake for thinking otherwise. He's now trying to dispute the reviews by claiming my home was previously burglarized, which is completely untrue. I have 2 large dogs, security dogs. My home has never been burglarized until Terrius and his team, one of whom is a thief he told me he parted ways with, were left alone for less than 2 hours so I could cool off my large dog who was overheating during an extreme heat wave. While I'd had no power for a week. So, he or his team are untrustworthy, he's unethical in repaying an admitted theft he took responsibility & made a couple payments on. Why would he make payments to me for something he's now claiming never happened & that he was never responsible for?? Victim blaming. Classy. You be the judge. read more
