Highly recommend this dental team! My husband and I are both new patients, and we have been incredibly impressed. Their office uses state-of-the-art technology, and it's amazing to see how much modern dentistry has advanced. We loved being able to see detailed X-rays and before-and-after photos following our deep cleanings. The turnaround time for procedures like root canals has also been surprisingly fast. One of my favorite touches was the pre-numbing mouth rinse before the anesthetic--it made those dreaded numbing shots barely noticeable! No disrespect to our previous dentists, but this experience has shown us just how far dental care has come. We're so happy we made the switch and highly recommend this office! read more

the moment you walk in, the office feels clean, modern, and welcoming, with state-of-the-art equipment without that cold or overly clinical feeling some dental offices can have. The staff is genuinely friendly and accommodating, and I especially appreciate that they're multilingual--it creates an environment where all kinds of patients can feel comfortable and welcome. They've also clearly put thought into making the less-fun part of going to the dentist a little more enjoyable. Between the great playlist and being able to stream something while you're laid back in the chair, it's easy to settle in and feel at ease. What has stood out to me most, though, is how straightforward they are about treatment and pricing. Their prices are reasonable, everything is explained without making you feel pressured, and I've never gotten the sense that they're trying to sell me on something I don't need. It's just a really well-run dental office with good people, a comfortable atmosphere, and a patient-first approach. I'm genuinely happy I found them and would absolutely recommend Excel Dental. read more

Dr. Vivian is super friendly, time efficient, yet also is transparent in explaining what to expect as a patient. Her encouraging words during and post-procedure helped curb my anxiety :,) I was nervous about getting a crown (be careful of hard foods ya'll or you might end up unknowingly cracking a tooth like me!!) but she made it a breeze, as best she could. Permanent placement was only ~30ish min!! The drive is far for us, but the patient care and experience here by her and all the staff makes it worth it. Also the interior is sleek, spacious, modern, and clean. 10/10 music selection and entertainment (headphones, ceiling TV?!, pillow headrest) minimizes procedural apprehension. Highly recommend! Parking is easy right in front of the clinic. read more

I haven't been to the dentist is some time and going again, I was a little nervous. Walking in, the place is spotless with welcoming couches and chairs. Very modern and nice. The receptionist is very kind and helpful. The Dentist Vivian and her dental assistants were nice, professional and comforting. Setting up appointments and getting breakdowns of payment and dental plans were easy to understand. Everyone that works there is extremely efficient and professional. read more

I strongly recommend Excel Dental - I was having some issues with an old crown that broke and had some decay along with another tooth with some symptoms that had an old filling that developed a cavity. Brian was very patient and informative and really took his time analyzing the situation and helping me figure out the right path forward. Can't recommend them enough - a good dentist who really cares about his patients is a valuable asset especially for someone with regular teeth issues like me. read more

Highly recommend this place! It's so clean and beautiful inside. On top of that, the staff are so helpful, and you can tell that they all enjoy working together. I know many of us don't enjoy going to the dentist, but Excel Dental puts in the time to make your appt as comfortable as possible. There are TVs on the ceiling to distract you, you can also ask for a pillow under your legs to maximize comfort, they also have neck pillows. Dr. Huynh is so knowledgeable and I really appreciated her analogies to help me understand how to best take care of my teeth. I had a cleaning and fillings done by her and her team, and it was so comfortable. I didn't notice anything. I watched my shows throughout the whole almost 2 hour appointment. I also got fitted for a night guard and that process was so smooth and quick. They have all the latest technology to ensure that you don't have to be inconvenienced to maintain a healthy smile. Not to mention, they are transparent with pricing so I know exactly what I would be paying upfront. I can't recommend this place enough. They sent me off with a super cute reusable tote bag along with some dental hygiene minis . I'll be returning for my night guard in a few weeks, and my future cleanings! read more

Excel Dental has been one of the best dental experiences I've had. The staff is friendly, the dentists explain everything clearly, and I never feel pressured into unnecessary treatments. Dr. Vivian and Dr. Brian both worked on my teeth, and the fillings and crowns were done with no discomfort. They were gentle, professional, and made the process easy. They're also very affordable and flexible with treatment planning, plus they offer monthly payment options through Sunbit, which really helped. The office is clean and very nice, appointments run on time, and I always feel well taken care of. I'd definitely recommend them if you're looking for a dentist in Escondido. read more

Dr. Vivian and her team truly provided the best dental experience I have had yet. She did my teeth cleaning and a filling for me. I never felt so comfortable during a dental visit. She worked with finesse and was very gentle. She is a perfectionist and did my filling perfectly and even showed me a photo after. It felt great and looked great! I appreciate how informative and personable Dr. Vivian is as well. She communicates your options and gives thorough and thoughtful suggestions to help you make the best decision/game plan for any procedure. The office is easy to find and has several parking spots in the front. I was immediately greeted by the front staff and had a smooth check in process. Once seated, I had my x-rays taken by Becky. She was so sweet and ensured that my cavity fillings will go smoothly. When it comes to the dentist, I tend to have high anxiety and think about my past traumatic experiences. I was given headphones to watch a movie of my choice to easy my anxiety. I enjoyed that a lot as I was able to lay down and see the movie on the ceiling. It was a nice distraction. Dr. Vivian Huynh did two of my cavity filings. She was so gentle that I was falling asleep! I never thought I could say that during a dentist appointment. I didn't feel any pain and she always checked up on me. She showed me before and after pictures of my fillings as well! I was able to receive a better understanding of my oral hygiene and the condition of my teeth. The type of treatment and care that I received at this office is completely different from my past. I'm so happy with my experience. I would come back here again and recommend this place to anyone!! read more

I was helping a friend with a dental crisis who has had a lot of bad dental experiences and a lot of anxiety around dental work. I found Excel dental in Escondido and just really hoped it wouldn't be a nightmare like so many places that have reasonable out-of-pocket rates. They actually had an appointment same day but we couldn't make that time so they got us in next day! When we first came in the cleanliness and welcoming environment really stood out. They got her back pretty much immediately. The receptionists were extremely friendly along with the dentist! There was so much care and compassion unlike I've seen at any other dentist. They went over and explained things thoroughly. They also didn't try to push anything unnecessary. The only thing I'm bummed about is they don't take my insurance LOL read more

Really enjoyed my experience getting my teeth cleaned here for the first time. Will definitely be coming back!

After my dentist of 20 years retired a few years ago, I had several bad experiences trying to find a new dentist I could trust. I'm so glad I found this office. They're incredibly thorough, professional, and genuinely make you feel comfortable throughout the entire visit. Knowing they're recommended by other dentists gave me even more confidence in their care. Highly recommend! read more

I met Dr. Vivian through a coworker's recommendation and I had such a good experience! The office was super nice, clean, and welcoming from the moment I walked in. I am so happy I found this dental practice, and I highly recommend Dr. Vivian. I used to have bad experiences with dentists, so I avoided going to the dentist for quit some time. But my coworker recommended this place, so I decided to give it a try. From the moment I walked in, I felt welcomed and comfortable. Dr. Vivian started with a deep cleaning and took the time to explain my treatment plan step by step. I really appreciate how she keeps teaching her staff and shares her knowledge, which creates a friendly and professional environment for everyone. Throughout my treatment, I've had the chance to be worked on by both Dr. Vivian and Dr. Brian. They are both very gentle and careful, making the experience much better than I expected. The staff here is friendly, helpful, and always makes me feel at ease. Everyone works well together as a team. Thanks to Dr. Vivian's care, my teeth and health have improved, and my view of going to the dentist has changed completely. She is caring, knowledgeable, and truly dedicated to her patients. I always look forward to my visits. Thank you, Dr. Vivian, for such a wonderful experience and for teaching your team so well. I'm grateful for the care I receive here! read more

Like most people, I usually hate going to see the dentist. It's uncomfortable for everyone, you worry about getting up-charged for services you don't actually need, and then sometimes you get shamed for your oral health. That's why Excel Dental has been such a refreshing change. I've seen Dr. Vivian and Dr. Brian now and both are absolute masters in their craft. The office has a very clean, cozy, and welcoming vibe - complete with adorable plushies that make you smile before you even sit down. It's clear how much thought and care goes into making every patient feel comfortable. The transparency here is also unparalleled. I love that they show you very clear photos and x-rays and talk you through what they see and walk you through the options, leaving the final decisions up to whatever you're comfortable with. There was never any doubt to me about what work I needed to get done and the steps they were going to take to help me get my teeth and smile into the best shape possible. I had some fillings done today with Dr. Vivian and Becky and the two of them made the process as painless and pleasant as possible. They were very attentive to my comfort throughout. Being able to see the before and after photos of my mouth was also wonderful! This is the first time I've seen direct results of care on my teeth and the first time I've left the dentist office feeling much more informed and confident in my dental health. I cannot recommend this place enough and look forward to continuing my care here for years to come! read more

Dr. Vivian went above and beyond! I don't live in the area but I'm definitely willing to drive up to their clinic. It was very relaxing with the head pillow, blanket, and head phones they give you to watch any show or movie you'd like. Doctor Vivian took her time to really explain my treatment plan and reasoning why we needed certain treatment. Super friendly and accommodating, and flexible with our budget by spacing out appointments and prioritizing the important treatments first. Great referral program. And always have a schedule that works for me and my family. Very friendly staff all around. Treatment day came and first time I had actually felt nothing. I couldn't believe it. I had an amazing first visit here for a teeth cleaning and cavity filling! First off, the office is so friendly and inviting. From the front office to the back suites you can tell they really care about creating a welcoming patient experience! When sharing my anxiety from past dental experiences they made sure to explain my procedures carefully and walked me through every step! They even offered me a weighted blanket during my procedure and let me pick some movies to play while in my seat. Dr. Vivian Huynh worked with me directly and she was not only very knowledgeable and skilled but kind and compassionate! I will definitely be back and would highly recommend to all my friends and family! read more

I am a new patient and the entire process of requesting an appointment, filling out documentation online, and setting up an appointment time was super smooth. They are available to call, and also available to text to set up appointments (which is super convenient). Upon arriving, the check in process was easy and the team members were so polite. But wow, the office is absolutely beautiful. Everything looks newly done and very luxury, I love it! I was scheduled to do a routine cleaning and was helped by Dr Vivian Huynh. She did wonderful job, and I really liked her transparency when talking about my treatment. She discovered cavities during my cleaning, and was able to fill 3 cavities in the same day. I am very appreciative of her kindness! read more

Loved my first visit. The dentist and her assistant were so caring and professional. 100% recommend.

First off, I want to mention that this is the NICEST dental office I've ever visited (I'm been to multiple offices in LA, OC and SD). Everything is so bright and welcoming, from the moment you pull into the parking lot and see the entrance. When you walk into the front office, it feels as if you're in an interior design showroom! I also want to mention that rooms all included a Tv on the ceiling (with headphones provided) so you can watch TV/sports/Netflix while they're working on your teeth. The bathrooms were super modern and clean as well, which is always a plus. Beyond appearances, the staff provided excellent and prompt care (special thanks to Dr Vivian). All staff members were friendly and professional throughout all our interactions. Dr Vivian was great at conversing in layman terms so I could fully understand the treatment plan. She was efficient and ensured to provide my all my options, while taking into account my insurance plan and copays. I visited for an Invisalign consult and general cleaning/examination. The process to set up an appointment was so seamless as well! The Excel Dental team was great at texting me so we could set up a time that worked well with me. I was easily able to complete my new patient forms online, and that saved me a ton of time upon arrival. From start to finish, it was a wonderful experience. Excel Dental raises the bar for top notch/luxury dental care! I am happy to say, I'll be coming back here for my dental needs in future! read more

Very grateful to Dr. Huynh and Dr. Luong for cleaning my teeth, which I often perform every 3 to 4 months. I appreciate how careful they were in removing plague and stains from my teeth, which greatly minimized any bleeding or pain/irritation from my gums. The before and after photos also helped me understand what a true deep cleaning felt like. Thank you again for the terrific dental care! read more

I heard about Excel Dental through my friend. I have not been to a dentist in a while as I never had a dental insurance, but their new patient offer for an xray and cleaning was very appealing. After my xray was taken, Dr. Vivian went over the exray with me to show me the spots in my mouth that need attention. She explained things in a way I could understand. Then, she performed the cleaning which I really liked. I will be returning for the work needs to be done and for my routine cleanings. Highly recommend! read more

I have never been fond of the dentist and have frankly avoided it most of my life. Considering that is not practical I landed at excel dental. I chose this place for various reasons, the building is beautiful, modern, and welcoming. The equipment is up to date, the office is extremely clean. The staff is kind and very easy to work with. Dr. Vivian Huynh has completely changed my mind about dental visits. She walks you through the steps making sure you are on the same page with her about the decisions she is making along with information to back those choices. She is both proactive with treatment and conservative when necessary. She is an amazing educator to not only her patients but her staff, as every time I'm there I witness her nurturing and encouraging interaction's with staff fostering a very positive environment where I feel well taken care of. The assistant Becky is very astute in her position, she works as an extension to Dr. Huynh's hand, working extremely efficiently to the point where the Dr. does not need to ask, Becky knows what comes next which demonstrates her profound knowledge for her scope of practice. I would absolutely recommend this office to anyone looking for a welcoming, knowledgeable, and competent place to receive dental care. Will absolutely be staying. read more

Went in for a cleaning and was very impressed with the atmosphere and the service provided by Dr. Vivian Huynh! Her and her dental assistant were very gentle and made sure I had a good experience all throughout. I think what sets this appointment apart from other dental appointments I've had was the way Dr. Huynh explains her procedures and gives tips to ensure the results of the cleaning lasts much longer, plus it was so relaxing! I love the surprise goodie bag at the end too. Thank you for such a relaxing and amazing dental cleaning experience, Dr. Huynh! I'm already looking forward for my next cleaning :) read more
