COULD NOT BE HAPPIER!!! I had looked at reviews after my accident and based on their Google reviews I chose Pronto Body Shop. I recently had my white Ford Focus towed to their shop in August 2024. Laura was really nice and got the paperwork started. Unfortunately, my insurance decided to total the car based on its age. I decided to go ahead and work on the vehicle instead of releasing it to the insurance and having the car junked. I proceeded working with the manager, Tiffany Menefee, who truly made me feel like she understood my financial situation. I was given two estimates, one to make the car drivable and the other for cosmetic repairs to the vehicle. This was done so that I could determine financially whether I could proceed to the next step. They were careful to select salvaged mechanical parts that were in good condition to keep my expenses low. They also worked in stages by first addressing the mechanics and drivability. They did not want to remove any of the damaged fiberglass paneling incase I could not financially proceed to the estimate for body work because it would have been impossible to get the fiberglass panels back on due to them being bent out of shape. They worked methodically to ensure that I did not exceed the mechanical drivability estimate, not only did they not exceed the estimate they had provided but the total actually fell under the estimate. This is how businesses should be run! No surprise overages where you feel taken advantage of. Because of their dedication to details and constant communication to verify any changes or charges I was able to proceed with the additional body work. Everything together was still under the estimates I was initially quoted and the work was excellent. As a woman, I have been made to feel ignorant by some mechanics when I have struggled to ask technical or mechanical questions. I have felt their impatience with my lack of knowledge. However, I was never made to feel that way by Mrs. Menefee. She went over every detail step by step. Every question was thoroughly explained in a way that I could understand. As a previous insurance adjuster, she explained how to proceed with my insurance and the process of obtaining a salvage title. I felt like she treated me like she would have treated a family member. She was patient, understanding and walked me through the whole process. I could not say enough good things about her or Pronto Body Shop. As long as she is there I will continue to take my cars there.

She took several photographs and it seemed like she really was looking at everything to get something going. She said she'd call me back. Never got a call back. I'm not sure why I never received a call back, but it didn't seem feel like they wanted my business. I was going to pay cash, which to me, would have been best for them, but I guess they run their business a different way. I went because it's woman owned and saw some great reviews. I'm disappointed to say that they're not all that interested in providing a job for a woman. They make their money. I'm just one person. I wish them the best. Just not with my money.

After a collision where we were not at fault, the other party's insurance covered the repairs. I regret not going with one of the recommended body shops from the insurance's list, because that would have guaranteed the work. Instead, I took my 2019 Mercedes GLE to the dealership's body shop, thinking it would receive the best care. Unfortunately, the opposite happened. They kept my vehicle for almost two months, and even after all that time, it still wasn't restored to its pre-accident condition. I had owned the car for two years without a single issue and always serviced it at Mercedes El Paso, so I know exactly how it was supposed to drive and sound. The biggest issue throughout this process was the lack of communication from our assigned rep, Enrique. He repeatedly gave us specific dates when the car would be ready, but those dates came and went with no updates, no calls, no explanations. This went on for weeks. When they finally said the vehicle was ready, I picked it up on a Friday afternoon. Within just a couple of miles, I noticed the alignment was clearly off, something any trained technician should have caught. I parked the car and didn't drive it again until the next morning. I drove to my son's baseball game and back, and later that day, the car would not start anymore. It remained dead for the rest of the weekend. On Monday morning, my husband called Enrique, and after some initial pushback, they finally agreed to tow the vehicle back. A few days later, Enrique informed us that the battery was dead. After doing research, I learned that a dead battery is extremely common when a car sits in a body shop for weeks or months. Mechanics repeatedly turn the ignition on/off to move the car or run diagnostics, but they do not actually drive the vehicle, so the alternator never recharges the battery. This drains even a brand-new battery over time. Most reputable shops either put cars on a trickle charger or take responsibility if the battery dies during prolonged repairs. Hoy Fox had my car for nearly two months, so this is precisely what happened. My battery had zero issues before the accident, and I never had a single warning light. Despite that, we were told we needed to pay almost $400 for a new battery. This felt incredibly unfair and completely avoidable. A few days later, Enrique claimed there was "additional damage" under the vehicle, that a boot was leaking, and then suggested it might have happened because we "hit a pothole." This explanation made absolutely no sense. They had my car for almost two months. Any issue under the car should have been detected during their repairs, inspections, or alignment. Suggesting that this was somehow my fault felt like an attempt to avoid responsibility. The speaker on the driver's side door --the side that was hit --has never worked properly since the repairs. The sound is distorted and clearly not functioning the way it did before the accident. I brought the car back to them twice for this issue, and both times I was treated as if I didn't know what my own vehicle should sound like. All they needed to do was run a simple speaker test file, which takes minutes, and it would be obvious that the speaker isn't working. At this point, I am so done with this shop that I would rather pay to have the speaker repaired elsewhere, to avoid dealing with them again. This entire experience, the nearly two-month delay, the repeated missed deadlines, the lack of communication, the dead battery, the attempt to blame "pothole damage," and the still-unrepaired speaker, has been exhausting. It has left me with a car that still isn't in its pre-accident condition, and a level of frustration I've never experienced with any other shop. I hope no one else has to deal with what we went through. Based on my experience, I would not recommend Hoy Fox Body Shop to anyone looking for quality work, accountability, or basic communication.
