Our month long stay at the Westin Galleria has been a very pleasant one. The convenience to…read morerestaurants and shopping is great. It is also conveniently located with easy access to downtown and other areas of interest in the Houston metropolitan area. What made the stay particularly nice was the staff. Everyone we encountered treated us well. In particular, I thought Kailyn, Ben and Taylor were awesome! All three of them were always very pleasant and went above and beyond to ensure a great experience while we were in Houston. Special shout out to Kailyn for always ensuring that we were hydrated. I so appreciated Kailyn's pleasant attitude and enthusiasm whenever I saw her. I will miss her. I also want to thank Ben for helping us with the room issue that we encountered. Ben ensured that we were promptly moved to a nice room so that we could enjoy the rest of our stay. And Taylor was kind enough to share recommendations on where to get a pedicure in the area. I look forward to seeing all of them again if we are ever in Houston in the future. Thanks Kailyn, Ben and Taylor!

As a Marriott Bonvoy Gold Elite member, I was very disappointed by my recent stay at the Westin…read moreGalleria Houston. From the moment I checked in, there seemed to be a lack of attention to detail that ultimately resulted in an unsatisfactory experience. During check-in, my Marriott Bonvoy membership was not properly verified, despite my mentioning it and attempting several times to have my information confirmed when I noticed my stay was not appearing in my Marriott account. Because of this, I did not receive the recognition or benefits I typically receive as a Gold Elite member. I also asked whether any room upgrades were available after being told the hotel had plenty of availability. I was informed that any upgrade would require an additional charge. As a Gold Elite member, complimentary room upgrades are a benefit when available, so I was surprised that this option was never discussed or offered. There were also multiple discrepancies with the billing. I was quoted a total of $232, but my card was charged $313. To make matters even more confusing, the receipt displayed on my in-room TV showed a total of $301. Receiving three different amounts left me with very little confidence that my reservation and charges were being handled accurately. Additionally, I was told that I did not qualify for a late checkout. As a Gold Elite member, late checkout is a benefit offered based on availability, yet I was simply told I did not qualify without any explanation. Perhaps the most concerning part of my stay occurred after housekeeping serviced my room. When I returned, I found that my personal belongings, which I had left neatly on the desk, had been moved and thrown together. While nothing appeared to be missing, I was disappointed that my personal items were handled so carelessly. Guests should be able to trust that their belongings will be treated with respect and left undisturbed as much as possible during room servicing. Overall, this stay fell well below the level of service I have come to expect from Marriott properties. I chose this hotel because of the consistency and quality of service I've experienced with Marriott over the years, but this visit left me frustrated by the lack of communication, inconsistent information, billing discrepancies, careless handling of my belongings, and failure to recognize my Marriott Bonvoy Gold Elite benefits. I hope management reviews these concerns so future guests receive the level of service expected from the Marriott brand.

The venue was nice as it was tucked away from the city and had a relaxing vibe. It was still bright when we arrived and the huge expansive pools look inviting. There was valet or self parking available. It was up to you to request your preference. The default is valet. The service was friendly and we felt at ease throughout. No airs. They opened the doors and greeted us upon entry and exit. The entrance had a nice and spacious foyer. A flight of stairs led to the venue of the event. Check in was a breeze. My favorite cocktail bites for the evening were the coconut crusted shrimp with plum sauce as well as the mini lump crabcakes with aioli. They paired well with the glass of bubbly. Took a variety of nibbles that was provided from crackers to cheese to berries to sandwiches. They were ok. Before leaving, we had some calming herbal tea with a squeeze of lemon wedge. They gave us iced tea in to go cups for the road.

I was an invited guest at an impossibly posh private event here and I was very impressed with the space inside with multiple rooms of upscale decor touches as well as the polite valets that were handling a large crowd efficiently and pleasantly out of doors. I don't know anything about this part of town. The trip down here had mild "first few moments of an episode of Criminal Minds" vibes as the uber driver was taking deserted, dark back alleys through heavily industrial and/or abandoned industrial areas. I was not sure if I was going to find myself carved into pieces and safely stowed in his freezer in what I imagined what would not be a very nice apartment at all or what. But then the abandoned warehouse rows finally parted and then you could see the super upscale looking joint kind of sticking out off in the distance with the bright glam lights and the valet boys hustling about the lot. I don't like large crowds, but if I had to be a part of a large crowd again I would do so in the handsome event space within. It is part industrial Brooklyn nightclub vibes with the wide open spaces and reverberatory noise, but part family bat mitzvah vibes that you could bring everyone and really make it family style for the whole evening. Perfect space for wearing that fancy hat in your life out of the house where you mingle with fancy people where you don't know half of them half as well as you should like; and like less than half of them half as well as they deserve.

This location seemed to be physically in the middle of the city. Much construction along my route made me want to simply turn around and go home, but I trekked to the final destination. When I arrived, I must admit that the building itself seemed rather on the positive side of eye candy. Once YouTube opened up the event for all the exclusive content creators, you could see that this facility is really well maintained and is designed to give an elegant outing for whomever chooses to rent this place. The staff, who I would assume were part of the accommodations, were really nice and courteous the entire time all of us were in attendance. I am not certain if the food was part of the venue's menu or if YouTube purchased the food from some other establishment. If I get to go here again and eat there food, I will update my review accordingly.

This venue is breath taking and romantic, especially during the evening. The courtyard is an added bonus for a romantic feel. I didn't receive any complaints from my guest. I received compliments for the food and drinks more than anything. We worked with the venue coordinator and they are always available. We worked with Laura and Rebecca at first. Towards the date of our wedding someone else stepped in at our last meeting. Something that would worry brides is working with someone new but the transition worked out perfectly.

This place is an absolute gem and feels like a well-kept secret if you're not already in the know. I'm sure the OG Houstonians are very familiar, but it was new to me. I got invited on an outing here and we arrived around 8:45pm on a Tuesday night, right before the kitchen closed. It was pretty quiet with just one other table, but you could immediately tell this restaurant has history. It has that classic "this used to be the spot" energy. I ordered the New Orleans Blackened Red snapper, which was served with vegetables. It was delicious, and paired it with a really refreshing mocktail. Everything hit. It was so hard to even choose this entrée because everything on the menu looked good. I'm already looking forward to coming back and experiencing it during a livelier time. Also worth noting that there's plenty of parking and valet is available.

I'm certain I just picked wrong for lunch. I ordered the Curry Chicken Salad. I think the biggest miss was the cut on the chicken. Large slices, needed several cuts to get down to a bite. I'll come back and choose different next time.
