Love the Olive Oil and the Balsamic. I went in today to purchase a gift. Bought the 6 pack of…read moresamplers. The cost was $36.00. I was told that they would not give me a credit on the "thank you" loyalty card. If I had purchased a $36.00 single bottle, they would have. Struggling to understand the splitting of hairs on this. I don't mind the premium pricing for a premium product, but not getting credit for a equal/simular purchase seemed odd. Left a sour taste for me.

You'll never drive by Grand Junction again without picking up some goodies here…read more This is one of those uniquely 5 stars places, you want to stop by every time your in the area. I just spent a few minutes in the store, out of curiosity, and ended up staying much longer because this is a place I'll be stopping by often. Why in the world would you spend 25 minutes in a vinegar shop? Because I just discovered that my favorite salad and bread dipping balsamic vinegar can be so much more than I've ever imagined. I've been using "balsamic" vinegar for a very long time. When I run out I go to the market, stop by the vinegar display, pick a Balsamic vinegar, and voila' check it off my shopping list. The only difference I've noticed is the labeling. Those days are officially past. Once in a while, I find a product that is amazingly good, and inevitably it's in a shop that's a bit inconvenient to get to. For example, there is one chocolate shop in New York City, that is the only outlet in the US for chocolate confections that are just sublimely superior to any other chocolate I've tasted anywhere in the world. Today, if I don't come home with a couple of boxes, you'll know I did not really make it to Manhatten. Bella Balsamic is right on the edge of becoming one of those special places The next time you're cruising past the Grand Junction signs on I70, take a long enough break to stop by this shop, pick out the vinegar you won't find anywhere else, Then go to the closed restaurant where you can get"naked' no dressing salad, use your new favorite dressing on it and savor the most flavorful low calorie meal you will remember.

And that's not all- you can sample it all with delightful crisps and crackers! This is one of my favorite browsing spots when I'm in Creede and is always one of the first few stops I make. This year it was our first stop... after hitting up the visitor center for wifi! :) This is a family owned business that opened in 2010 and I stumbled upon them the following year, been stopping in ever since! They are next to Elk Country on the corner of Wall and Main, you can't miss the bright green sign! There are olive oil blends from across the world for those fancy cooks out there. You can get them at $18 a pop! I'm an eater, not a cooker, so I always turn my attention to their pantry of condiments and foods. The price range seems to be $8-$30, but the cheaper items are in really tiny containers. This isn't your every day stuff you can get at the grocery store though, so that's to be expected. This may not be a one of a kind concept, but it's an extremely unique store with a lot of flavor combinations you wouldn't have considered before! The best part is they always have a table laid out to sample all these strange sounding concoctions first. It's always a large variety and plenty of crisps to go with them. Samples aren't uncommon, but it's nice to see them so prepared; takes the awkwardness out of asking so you can make sure you love what you buy. They also carry a small selection of items from local artists and vendors. That's fairly common in this town but their soaps, bags and jewlery are always nice and get my attention. I think the soap may be theirs as I haven't seen that specific type at the other nearby shops. However, the point is that there is enough variety in this shop for everyone to enjoy some eye candy! No matter how often I stop by, I seem to realize I've overlooked or missed something before. I didn't even realize they sold mustard before this year! My stepson stopped by all excited about maple mustard- and of course, where else could he have gotten it from? :) My mother in law usually comes away with some goodies most years too. They also have a website where you can order everything, including whatever there isn't room for on the shelves. That is especially useful if you ran out of a purchase and were craving it from across the country. In regards to customer service, I've never consulted with any of the owners before. I always see them with someone, and they do seem to take their time with each customer. Since it's usually one of my first stops, I'm excited to get out and see how the rest of the town has changed. So instead of waiting around, sometimes in a line, I take my personal tour of the product and move on with my shopping. That's doesn't keep me from coming in, I'm drawn by all the colors and curiosity anyway! Besides, I like that they give each person the attention they need. Come if your palate is feeling adventurous!

This lovely shop carries a variety of items - we bought lavender plants and some flavored balsamic vinegars and oils but they have many more items. The plants are thriving and we've been enjoying the vinegars and oil. Recently, I tried drizzling strawberry basil vinegar over half my mozzarella Caprese salad and tangerine over the other half. My guests loved the flavors. Today we decided to add more flavors to our pantry. The proprietresses were extremely helpful. We tried many flavors and flavor combinations and were given great ideas on which foods went best with them. We also found a spice blend that is flavorful and versatile. We more than doubled our existing vinegars and oils. Some will be gifts but the rest will enhance dishes from salads to desserts. If you find yourself near Palisade, Colorado, we recommend visiting this business. It has wide range of products in an attractive setting and knowledgeable staff.

Split 3 ways and including tax/tip, the bill came out to nearly $40 per person. That being said, the banh mi I got was quite good - packed w/flavor from the kimchi and the sauce; though this is probably the first time i've had a banh mi without any cilantro... The thai coconut soup, though, was a bit of a let down. It had all the right flavors, but was in dire need of some acidity and sweetness. Without that, it was quite one-dimensional. Service was decent. We were seated outside so quite a lot of people around and so it often felt quite cramped. Overall, not bad but there's definitely better out there.

So disappointed also I was with my undercooked "rotisserie chicken" and the once beloved brown sugar butter sauce of theirs was sour. When asked if they had changed the recipe, our server replied "it depends on who made it" - really?!? I didn't leave this time with that warm and cozy feeling of being a guest at their place, instead now I was just another customer! cheers!
