It now has piling much worse than our old couch . We went through their service request procedure and it ended up with Klingman's saying it was the manufacturer's problem and they did not cover piling. Klingman's washed their hands of the problem. We went to Klingman's to purchase a quality couch and told the sales person that we would pay extra to get fabric that would not pile. They recommended the fabric we purchased. This is not right that they are not responsible for anything that you purchase.

We had several…read moreitems we planned to purchase: couches, chairs, an entry way bench, bedroom suite plus accessories (coffee table, rugs, decor). We stopped at Klingman's and were pleased to discover that they sell Bradenton and Young leather chairs. We have previously purchased this brand and are very familiar and impressed with the quality. We ended up purchasing 3 leather B&Y chairs from Klingman's and it's been nothing but headaches since. First after spending a significant amount of time selecting the right color of leather, we were told that the leather we selected was not available. We spent more time selecting another color. This time, the color we selected was on back order. Our Klingman's Rep blamed B&Y and said their rep is supposed to make sure the leather samples on the sales floor are current. Our rep called B&Y while we were standing next to her and they assured her they had enough leather in stock for the chair we wanted. We placed the order and were told we'd have our chairs before Christmas. Now deliver is delayed to the end of January with no estimated deliver date provided. It's been one delay and one excuse after another. We were told that one chair would be shipped as soon as it was done and the others would be shipped as soon as the leather came in and they were made. Now ALL chairs are on back order and will be delivered at same time. This is after our rep pressured us to buy NOW because a supposed sale was ending and "I will NOT be able to get these prices for you again." We had a much better experience at Talsma. We actually chose to purchase several pieces of furniture from Talsma after this frustrating experience at Klingman's trying to get a few chairs ordered. We ordered our custom couches and chairs from Talsma a week after we placed our Klingman's chairs and we've already had all of those pieces manufactured and delivered. In addition, Talsma prices were lower. The only reason we purchased from Klingman's is because we wanted the B&Y. We'll be happy when we eventually get our chairs (IF we ever get them) but it was a frustrating process that took too long and has impacted our desire to return to Klingman's again. This is not all necessarily the fault of Klingman's or the sales rep we worked with. But IMO Klingman's needs to make significant changes with this vendor in order to improve the customer experience. Ultimately I don't want to wait 3 months for my chairs that were promised in 6 weeks, so I'll go elsewhere. Two stars only because I hope to eventually get the chairs I wanted.
