I went Evolution Hair Salon in Exton to have my haircut the first time. The assistant asked me to sit up rather than lean my back to have my neck against the sink to shampoo my hair. I thought it would be something new. Water went through my back to my waist. I did not say anything to the assistant because I wanted to let it go. But, the wet cloth made me feel terrible. I told Chinstine, who was cutting my hair, about this experience. She asked me to go to bathroom to take my tee out, but my cashmere sweater was wet as well. When I complained, Christine said, it was the chair problem, especially when someone was too short or too tall. I am not either way. I am 5 feet 4 inches. No apologies from anyone at all. I wanted to have some layers on top of my head, she said, the way she would do it after the blow dry. After she blow dried my hair, then, sais, it would not look good if had layers. I did not get layers that I wanted. I still gave her tips. Which I should not. I managed to leave that place pleasantly. When I called to make an appointment and asked how many years of experience the hair has had. The answer was 16 years at that place. 2hen I asked the hairdresser, she responded 10 years. We all know that even the 10 years was inflated. Can you trust this place at all? After talked with several of my colleagues, I was encouraged to write this honest review. I highly recommend Chelsea. My hair is colored, blown dry and straightened and has never been in better condition thanks to her. I have never met anyone who understands so well what you want when you can't even explain it yourself. My hair is so soft in fact that I have people I don't know come up and stick their hands in my hair to see if its as soft as it looks, most recently in the airport in Rome! Make sure when you see her you ask her about Paul Mitchell super skinny, it's a life saver and I recommend it to everyone I talk to! After researching a lot of reviews online, I chose Evolution Salon and Corrine, due to consistent great reviews, to fix my hair which was recovering from a bad cut at another salon, and is so thick that I looked like I had an A-frame on my head. It was too long for my age (65) and didn't suit me at all. I started to explain my issues to Corrine and she knew EXACTLY what I was dealing with. Right away I trusted her. She literally worked magic! I almost cried tears of joy when I saw my finished hair cut/style. This is the best hair cut and best hair style I've EVER had. She is AMAZING! The whole salon has a very comfortable, friendly feeling. It's spotlessly clean, stylish, but not at all snobby. They make you feel special! From the front desk to everyone in the shop - everyone was so friendly. Corrine took her time and explained what she was doing. She also explained how to do my hair myself - a simple blow dry and I've got perfect hair. From this day forward, I would never entrust my hair to anyone else. If you want an amazing hair cut - especially if you have problem hair or a hair cut that needs to be "fixed," make an appt. with Corrine. I looked at the other cuts the other stylists were doing and they were all beautiful! So I don't think you can go wrong here. Pricing is great too! Went to Evolution for the first time last week for a cut and color by Tiffany. I will definitely be back. The atmosphere was friendly, every employee had a pleasant greeting and always asked if they could get you anything. I wasn't exactly sure how I wanted my hair done but Tiffany took the time to go over colorings and cuts and I ended up with a cut and style that looks great and is super easy to care for, I will be going back to see her again!! read more
