We complained to our builder during the build because the person we met with from A-1 was disorganized, rushed, and didn't even get my name correct. Despite clearly articulating what our desires were, he made no notes and left within 5 minutes. Now that our home is done, we've realized that the items we were promised were not installed or completed. What has been done is pretty abysmal. We were not the only people to complain to the builders about A-1. The project manager said, in response, "We are aware and are working to increase his intelligence". I don't even know what that means. If you want real honest opinions about A-1, go to any development that has had completed work for at least a year and you will get honest opinions. When we first moved into this house we knew we would have to landscape the yard, both back and front. At first, we had no idea what that would take, and so attempted to do it ourselves. Unfortunately, we had to take the ground level down almost 6 inches which is A LOT of dirt. I knew we couldn't handle that on our own so... Travis saw my cry for help on Facebook and the rest is history. They removed and hauled off all that dirt, brought in top soil, installed all new irrigation as well as a new shut off valve and main line, a drip system, had another company do curbing, basalt rock in the beds, and sod down. They also installed a brand new pump and timer. The previous set up wouldn't work and was even installed in an unsafe manner. Dan made sure it was fixed and done correctly, and consulted KID to ensure the right equipment was used. Dan and Travis Patridge will make sure you're taken care of. Landscaping is expensive, but they will make sure they do it right the first time.

Living in Horn Rapids, we are able to see them weekly, sometimes 4x a week. They're probably here daily but working on other parts of Horn Rapids. From what we notice, it's the same team of employees dedicated to our community. From cold and windy days, to heat wave days, theyre here working hard for us. When I've taken my two babies in the stroller during their time outside, they are mindful of us; moving the output of their machines away from us or keeping a far distance when the babies are awake or asleep. There's a grey-haired gentleman who works super quickly and is super focused on his work. Watching him is impressive and it's noticeable that he cares about what he's doing. Anyhow - know how highly we recommend this company and how grateful we are of this team.

Very poor work, very poor response to problems, and absolute disregard for quality. A job began in February is still not finished in August. Specifically we paid for taking out the old front island including three large yuccas and new sod placed. The yuccas were removed but not the large tubers in the ground. The yuccas are now growing up through the new sod. Yuccas are extremely hard to get rid of, but at least digging deeper to remove the large tubers would have helped. Musser's landscaping designer Julie Wilson took all of our ideas about what we would like our yard to be and created a beautiful landscaping plan that captured the essence of what we were after. Julie and her crew started work in the middle of January and stripped our yard to bare sand. They worked through cold, wind, snow, and rain and created the yard of our dreams. We now have native plants and trees artfully arranged and lighted along with a waterfall, path and retaining walls placed to complement our home and the neighborhood.
