Disappointing! I was in the salon for HOURS and my hair looked like complete poop! I will never go back!!!

I first visited Judith's Dominican Style when I was on detail in DC 2 years ago. I wanted to see if they could actually live up to the reputation of the solid Dominican Salons I had visited before in NYC and NJ--GA or wherever else the Army has taken my family and I. Well-IT DID and then SOME! Judy the owner has always been gracious, inviting and open to work with whatever crazy idea I can come up with-especially when I walk in there to change the color (yet again).... This salon thrives on keeping or getting your hair healthy. There are not that many tendencies to want to overprocess hair--and if they think your hair would not benefit from a service-they'll tell you. I gone in for color, cut, wash, roller set, style and what have you...and have NEVER come out of there dissatisfied-so much so that my daugher asked me to take her there again for highlights...and my sister said she'd come back next time she was in town. I drive from Alexandria, VA and it is a hassle to find decent parking w/out having to feed the meter every 2 hours with rollers in hair...but I'll do it again and again if it'll keep my hair looking the way that it does after I step out of that salon and for weeks after. Thankfully now they are open Sundays and have extended week hours...so I'll be going then-when there's less crowding in Adams Morgan... Do I recommend the salon--YOU BET! I've been to this salon at least three times now and I think this will be my go to spot. I've had my wash and sets with Judith and a relaxer with Esther. Those ladies are both great. This salon is reasonably priced and pretty efficient in getting you and out in good time, even when busy. Definitely highly recommended. read more

So I WAS a BIG FAN of Judy! I was excited about the extended hours but on 2 separate occasions I was turned away at 5pm because they only had 1 stylist working. Then on my birthday, which fell on a Saturday, I walked out with tears in my eyes. I asked for curls and I got frizzy! The lady (I keep referring to here as the lady because I'm not sure if she was actually a stylist) tried to fix it but she already to put too much product in my hair. Needless to say I walked out of there worse then I came in! I AM NO LONGER A FAN OF JUDY AND HER STAFF. I WILL BE GOING TO MELENIA IN MD FROM NOW ON! The only reason I went to this salon was because my regular salon is closed for repairs. I found out that one of my regular stylists had set up shop temporarily at Judith's Dominican Style. So of course, my first experience was great because my stylist from the temporarily closed salon did my hair. On my second visit, my stylist was not there...so against my better judgment, I opted to let someone else do my hair. I went in the middle of the day and there were only a few people in there. The stylist that did my hair took forever to roll my hair, forever to blow out my hair and did a TERRIBLE job on the blow out and a trim. As soon as I got home, which is less than 3 blocks away, I noticed that only parts of my hair were blown out well. The middle of my head feels (and looks) like I blew it out myself (which I'm not great at, hence why I went to the salon)! Let's not start on the trim. I had my hair cut into long layers...but she cut all of my hair the same length--the length of my layers. Now let me start by saying that when I ASKED her how badly I needed a trim--and her response was that I had NO split ends and NO damage...so I'm thinking that this is just a maintenance trim since I had not had one in well over 8 weeks. So if that's the case, why did she cut over an inch?! I don't know if it's just the person that I had or if that's how they roll. Anyways--I would just skip this place. There are too many (good) Dominican salons in the neighborhood to roll the dice. read more

I'm in DC for the summer, by way of Mckinney (Dallas), Texas. Back home, there's a small Dominican shop where I get my hair done. For the most part, I've been quite satisfied with the way my hair has been done in my hometown. But, yesterday, I went to visit Judith's Dominican Style salon in Adams Morgan, and I have NEVER had my hair done this well before!! I'm in LOVE!!! I believe her name was Desiree-- who did my hair. She was very professional, fast, and skilled. She knew what she was doing. I didn't have to tell her anything. I left out of there on the Metro, and even in the summer heat, my hair didn't "poof" up, like it sometimes does back home. This is the straightest my hair has ever been, and I will definitely be back in a couple weeks. Oh yes, and they are very affordable... roughly $45 (my hair is long) for a wash (she even detangled it), and blow-out (roundbrush). She was done in a little over an hour. I love these guys, I go there for a basic wash/roller set and blow dry. Great price, I leave the place with a fresh bouncy look. No need for flat/ curling irons to get the look I want. I normally go with my own shampoo and conditioner (my preference) and they're pretty cool. Although I wish I did speak a little spanish to communicate better with the staff. The place does need a little TLC and maybe a lick of paint to bring it into this century. That's the only drawback. read more

BAD SALON FOR NATURAL HAIR!!!! I'm an African American woman with what I like to call "standard/traditional" coarse, kinky, curly, natural hair. I do not have a relaxer or perm and never have had one. This has caused me to patronize countless salons in the quest for high quality hair care. I can distinguish the difference between a bad salon, as opposed to a bad stylist or a bad style. This is a BAD SALON. Cons: 1) I spent 3 1/2 hrs in the salon WITH an appointment. 2) The stylist I scheduled my appointment with (using Yelp as a guide) wasn't available to do my hair due to over-booking. 3) After 1 1/2 hrs under the dryer. I finally turned it off myself. At which point, other customers began to do the same (it appeared that the salon got busy with walk-ins & forgot about all of us under the dryers for almost 2 hrs). I was then blow-torched...oops, I mean blow dried & put BACK under the dryer w/ curlers b/c I wanted a curly style. 4) My hair looked a HOT MESS when I left. It was puffy, frizzy, not the least bit straight, with not even a hint of shine. Also, I didn't even have curls. I was in the salon for almost 4 hrs. I was very quite and observant of the stylists & other customers being served. My observations lead me to the following conclusions: IF YOU HAVE RELAXED/PERMED HAIR: This salon can do an alright job w/ a roller set. I did notice that none of the customer's hair looked shiny or particularly light and bouncy when the stylists finished. The curls of most customers were stringy, separated, and asymmetrical on their heads. The styles looked haphazard and unpolished, as if done by student beauticians. It appears that none of the stylist had any finishing skills. NO FLAT IRONS- They don't use flat irons at all here. They "tried" to straighten my hair w/ the hair dryer, but their technique does NOT work if you have course or very curly hair. *********!!!CAUTION!!*******The most important observation I made was that these stylist only know how to deal with a very particular grade of natural hair. I call it a "multi-racial" grade of hair (b/c I don't know how else to describe it). My definition would be hair texture that resembles a mix of African American and either Latina, Caucasian, or other bi-racial grade of hair. This hair is fine, w/ a loose curl, and it's not kinky or coarse. I noticed that the majority of natural customers had this grade of hair, and the stylists seemed to know how to deal with it. However, when it came to dealing with my "standard, run-of-the-mill" natural hair- they were at a loss. Their process for styling my hair was: wash hair, condition and comb while conditioner sits (combing very roughly w/ out regard for the fact that curly hair cannot be combed through like straight her,) set hair in curlers, sit under dryer for 1 1/2 hrs, take out curlers, burn my scalp repeatedly w/ blow dryer trying to straighten my hair unsuccessfully, reset my hair in curlers, add hair spray, sit under the dryer for 10 min, take out curlers, view the nuclear explosion that surely must have occurred on top of my head to create such a disastrous "style". ****FYI****: The mark of a bad stylist is that they ALWAYS blame your HAIR when they don't know how to handle it, or when your style does not come out correctly. While brushing through my hair w/ conditioner, the shampoo girl was confused when she couldn't comb through my hair from root to tip in one swoop. She continued to comb & comb aggressively, as if she could eventually comb all of the tight curls away. She commented that my hair was tangled when I told her she was hurting me. I had a deep conditioning treatment on my hair 2 days before my visit, my hair was NOT tangled, she simply didn't know how to handle it. Another stylist approached and they spoke in Spanish about my hair. The 2nd stylist asked me if I had braids in my hair recently. I informed her that I had never had braids and that my hair is not tangled it is simply very curly. When my hair was done, the stylist informed me "You don't get it blow dried often". This was her effort to offer an explanation for her disastrous work. I replied that I did get it blow-dried every time I went to my usual salon (SALON REVIVE) and that they actually get the hair to look straight. She pretended not to understand me. I will NEVER go back to this place. I felt like I was in Hell and I wanted to cry when I looked at my hair in the rear view mirror on the way home. I am an African American woman with coarse, curly, "typical" natural African American hair. If you have coarse hair or tight curl this salon is NOT for you. P.S.- They charge $45 for natural hair (with out a deep conditioner) & if you drive, you will end up paying $15 to park in one of the Adams Morgan decks. This place is just not worth the trip whether it's the parking fee or the bus ride. If you have ever had a stylist who is skilled with natural hair, you will leave this salon disappointed and frustrated! read more

i recently went back by judith's after not going for several months, and was pleased to mostly get the same reliable treatment - in and out w/o too much of a wait or extra fuss, a sliky and bone-straight blowout with plenty bounce and body, and service with a smile. i swear the hood dryer was hotter than i remember, though. i started to sweat like a hog and had to strip down to my tank top just to make it through the torture-chamber, uh, i mean hood dryer time. the blowout was good, but i was startled when the stylist went to flat-iron my hair b/c A) it was already straight from the blow-out, B) i thought she was finished b/c it looked great the way it was and C) holy heat-happy, why on on earth would i want to be flat-ironed after surviving the hood dryer w/ rollers AND a blow-out?! i didn't get her logic at all and told her to skip the flat-iron. (i've never had them do that before...maybe she's just a heat-happy stylist?) add to that that she forgot my trim even though i reminded her twice and i have to doc 1 star from my previous review. otherwise, judith's is still good and i'm sure i'll continue to go back. i think i'll make an appointment next time though, so i can be sure to get my favorite stylist, isaura. she's still there and rang me up for my service, and is still sweet as pie. read more

I moved one year ago from Puerto Rico to Washington, DC. I tried several salons for haircuts and color with very disappointing results. I have fine straight (often limp) hair, and I was used to stylists who would create lots of volume with their superb blow drying skills (despite the fact that I do not have the typical Puerto Rican hair, which tends to be coarser). I decided to give Judith Dominican Style a try since I had read that Dominicans have a similar way of styling. What a mistake I made! The stylist who tried to do my hair had absolutely no idea how to work with fine hair. The hair dye used had a very strong smell and burned my scalp. She overdid the conditioner and was unable to create any volume in my hair after blow-drying. She had the nerve to try to put the blame on my hair. The ethical thing to do would have been to tell me outright that she was unable to work with straight hair. Needless to say, as soon as I went back home, I washed my hair and styled it myself. Agree with those saying it's hit or miss. First time my hair was fab and I was feeling myself extra hard. Second time, the lady burnt the shit out of my hair! I was smelling like burnt hair for weeks, like I had a burnt aura or something. Had to do a serious cut. Never went back! read more

Cruel and unusual punishment. The salon was so hot from all the dryers running I couldn't feel the a/c, my whole experience felt like I was in a sweat shop. At no point did anyone introduce themselves or ask my name, don't you find it strange to have someone start touching your hair without saying anything? When the lady was washing my hair she kept planting my face in her boobs, very uncomfortable! She would bang my head around the bowl. Then she asked me if I wanted a conditioner. Wait, what a conditioner doesn't come with a wash???? Then I said oh do you mean a "deep conditioner that costs extra money" no thank you. Stuff like that you have to clarify. Then I was put under the dryer for one hour. I told her the dryer head needed to be adjusted because it was too low and I'm tall. She fiddled with it but nothing changed and I had to sit very uncomfortable drooped down in the chair. Half way through I felt my hair was dry and she just said no the timer still has 20 min on it without even touching my hair. Finally I get in the chair and notice she picks up the dryer without putting ANY product in my hair. Ummm....hello I don't want damaged hair, you need to put some protectant in it! So she does but as she blow dries my hair she pulls my head all the way back so my chin is facing up towards the ceiling, very uncomfortable position to have my head in. Several times she put the hot dryer right on my scalp!!! When she was finally done I didn't even bother to look at myself in the mirror, I was so glad the torture was over in this hot salon, I just ran to pay. They accept credit cards now with tip on the card. For the same price $45 I can go to drybar and be treated much better. read more

I finally found a great salon for a blowout in DC! I made an appt. with Judith and I had no wait time. I was greeted by the receptionist with a welcoming smile. Another stylist had to translate for me to communicate with the shampoo lady. I was surprised that I wasn't asked what kind of style I wanted, but I was sooooo happy with the outcome. Yes, it's a hole in the hall and not the best overall looking salon but my hair was flawless! It was straight but still had a nice amount of volume. Because of the incredible amount of heat, I will probably not be back here for a while, but if you're looking for a place that has good service and skilled stylists-this is your shop! I didn't have an appointment, and the wait was not long. I am disappointed in the products used and the pricing. I was charged $45.00 for a wash and set. My 3b shoulder length hair is quick to roll up. I do it weekly, but since it was birthday, I went to the salon. The wash and set took 20 minutes in total. The conditioner was drying, I could tell by the look of my hair. Then stylist reached in her bag and pulled out a clear bottle of some solution and rubbed it on my hair, without any explanation before the roller set. What if I had an allergy? I would advise bringing your own products. After sitting under the dryer, my rollers were removed; but I didn't want any further styling - no comb out, no blow out, no flat iron. I clipped it up and planned to wrap my hair it when I returned home. Yet I was charged $45.00 for the 20 minutes it took to wash and roller set my hair. The pricing online says a roller set starts at $35. I should not have been charged more than that. I was told if I come back, the price will drop to $35. That is not the way to attract repeat customers. read more

I recently went to Judy's. It was a good experience I must say. I didn't have time to go earlier to my usual Vision's (Mercedes!!) and Judy's is open later so it worked out perfectly. My appt was at 5:15. I was out at around 7:30ish. Isaura?? (if that the correct spelling) was who eventually styled my hair. Someone else washed and rolled my hair. Judy also gave me a trim. I would say that I'm used to a quicker blowout but I do appreciate the attention and customer service. I was greeted and sent to the back to get my hair washed as soon as I came in. I would say that that area could be a little more tidier but overall good. I like that you can get a deep conditioning for only $10 extra versus $20 and I got a trim for $10 versus $20 or more. So I would say 4Stars to Judy and her staff! I'll be back. read more

I am a black woman with short curly hair that I've slowly been going out over the last few months. I recently moved to DC and was looking for a Dominican salon. The last two times I've gotten my hair cut, it has been at Dominican salons and the stylists did such an excellent job, I knew I wanted to find something similar in the city. While the hours during the week at this salon are completely inconvenient (they close their door at 6pm SHARP), this is exacerbated by their inconvenient location. Trying to rush to this salon from work either by car or public transportation is a complete disaster! The staff were extremely nice and the stylist agreed to do my hair since I only wanted a trim. The shampoo girl was quick and efficient and I was in the chair in no time. Unfortunately that's when everything took a turn for the absolute worse. The stylist had initially said that she had never cut hair as short as mine before (about 2 inches when straight), but she seemed confident that she could do it. This is when I should have turned around and walked out the store, however, I figured, it's just a trim 'how bad can it be!' The stylist had no idea how to cut hair (short or long). When she was done, I knew I just wanted out because if she were to snip one more time, I would have no hair left on ONE SIDE of my hair. Yes, the haircut was completely uneven. I tried to convince myself that it was not as bad as I was thinking it was, but when i got home and styled it the way I usually wear it, i was completely dismayed to see just how bad my hair had been butchered. I had to find another salon first thing the next morning that was able to repair the damage that had be caused. This resulted in my hair now being much shorter than i wanted it to be. Maybe this place is great if you have long hair and don't need a hair cut or maybe it was just this stylist that was inexperienced, however if you are looking for a haircut, I would strongly advise that you look elsewhere. read more

I really had to sit on this review so I would not react off emotion. I went to this salon, who confirmed they were a Dominican hair-styling salon. Not true. Although they were kind, as well they should be, I asked the owner to do my hair, but she never finished it off. She gave me a color treatment and asked how long the color should stay on. I advised her that she was the expert and I could not answer. She then let "B" roller-set my hair. I specifically said to please roll my hair tight so it could be straight since I don't hand blow dry, as I have done previously at other salons for 20 years without any issues. She rolled my hair as it was "drying". I had to ask her to apply water since she was rolling curled up hair which would result in an Afro puff style. I hair easily straightens with a roller-set. "B" didn't know what she was doing. I gave it 1 start because I couldn't give it any less. when a client ask for the "owner" to style, the reason, at times, is to minimize the risk going to a new place. They are not to be handed off to staff. Needless to say, I left there with my rollers on because they clearly indicated they could not do hair. When I took my rollers off, my hair was a complete frizzled mess. I had to redo my hair myself. I over-tipped them because I had not taken the rollers off when I left. I will never return. I need experts to know how to apply services and - at the least - know how to roll hair. read more

I'm on a mission to find a Dominican Salon in the DC area comparable to my spots in NY. Judith's is my first attempt on finding such a place. I arrived at 12:30 ish on the Saturday before Mother's Day. I was taken right away to wash my hair, WOW! Typical 3 shampoos followed by a regular conditioner (in a rush so I skipped the deep conditioner) and off to the chair to get roller set. They have nice jumbo rollers for quicker drying time, too bad my dryer was not that hot. 60 minutes under the dryer followed by a blowing out of the roots, leaving the ends curly. My hair came out shiny and bouncy, I was out by 2:30. I did ask someone else to blow me out since my original lady started a relaxer just as I was coming out the dryer (ugh!). Anyway not too bad for $35 +tip, but I am still spoiled with my $20 wash, set, blow in NY. I would go back just because it was quick and they take debit/credit cards, and I did see other clients getting nice looking haircuts. read more

Very impressed! I first want to say that my mom, my daughter and I went to Judith's salon on a rainy Sunday, so it wasn't busy. I can not say enough good things about this salon. We all have different textures of hair my mom has very thick/straight/frizzy hair my daughter has very course/thin hair and I have fizzy/curly hair...all of which were able to be managed by the ladies at this salon. We were in and out in less than 2 hours which I know is uncommon in busy salons. We managed to go on a good day. Nonetheless everyone who walked in and out of there looked gorgeous by the time they left. The price for a normal wash and set is $45. My daughter was only about $30 and my mom paid for the wash and set with cut and our total was around $140. I thought that was extremely reasonable. I am getting married this June and I just can't wait to go to Judith's to be wedding ready!! :) read more

I'll start this review off by stating that I was a client at Judy's for a little over 9 months (Jun '10 - Mar '11). Since I'm giving it a 1, you may be wondering why I kept going back. So am I... The entire time I was a client of Judy's, I had relaxed hair. About 6 months into my relationship with them, I also started getting semi-permanent color. I have very thick and long hair that, to date, has never been described as coarse. I have Af-AM & Mex-Am biracial hair. I'm stubborn about frequently relaxing, so I would only go every 4-6 months. My hair is quite resilient, and styling has never been difficult for me. Stylists always seem to enjoy playing with the length and weight of my hair. I have recently suffered from constant inflammation and drying of my scalp, which has led to severe shedding (not flaking) of the skin. I made these concerns clear when first going to Judy's. Highlights of my experiences: - Making an appointment was useless, especially if it was anytime after 8 am on a Saturday. I learned quickly to just get there before the doors opened, not that they ever did on time. They seem to just take people in the order they walk in. Appointment be damned! - It didn't matter how many times I came in, they couldn't remember my name. And anyone who didn't actually work on me couldn't be bothered to look my way, smile, or say hello. Also, I understand and speak Spanish. They constantly badmouth clients... - I don't know if the salon has AC, but something needs to be done about the fact that they have 8 hood dryers and 5 blow dryers going off at any given moment during the heat of summer with only the door open and two fans blowing. I don't know how my head ever got dry for the fact that the rest of me was dripping wet. - No matter how early I did seem to get there, it always took at least 4 hours for me to get out. Yes, all my hair required that I be under the dryer longer than others, but I would get asked to let them finish other clients (who came in after me) if they had shorter hair or something. Completely unprofessional and unfair to me as a repeat customer! - They would always apply the harshest shampoos (and use their nails to scrub) because they thought it was just an issue of dirt and/or dandruff. I appreciate a good tingle during a wash, but from start to finish, I'd typically only experience stinging. These products and techniques only inflamed, tore, and dried out my scalp even more. And this is before the hood and blowdryer! Also, sticking me under a dryer with $4 Motions and a shower cap for 10 minutes, does not a deep conditioner make. But they sure do call it one, and charge you for it too! - My initial stylist was Judy. She's polite enough, but always seems distracted. She applied my relaxers just fine. No more complaints than anyone before her. She colored my hair amazingly when I made that transition in Jan '11, but she lazily applied the touch-up color and I could see the transition point. My main issue with her was that she could not layer my hair well. Each layer was too thick and blunt and the layering around my face was too heavy. The ability to layer my hair well is a must for any stylist I frequent. - After observing her with another client, I asked Esaura to do my cuts. She and Judy would tag team me, but over time I transitioned fully to Esaura. Esaura's layering technique was very literal; she cut layer by layer. While it looked nice, it was flat and hard to get any volume, which has never been an issue before. When Esaura started doing my relaxer, I started noticing issues that I couldn't ignore anymore. - Without telling me, she started using the cheaper relaxer. When I finally figured it out and asked her why, she said I use too much of the good one. Also, as someone who'd been getting relaxers for a combined 12 years, I had enough experience with the occasional burn. And I'm usually a champ and can endure it just long enough. With Esaura, she would scratch my scalp during the entire application. This would lead to insane burning almost immediately. But I found no relief during rinsing. How would she finally offer me relief? By rinsing the relaxer with a vinegar based shampoo! Not for my sake, but for hers. To make it quicker! This hurt so much. In March, when I came home with the WORST chemical burn I have ever had, I knew I would not be going back. I spent a week massaging with aloe vera gel & vitamin e oil. Sadly this is not exhaustive bc of space. I will NEVER go back to Judy's. The Dominican styling method is like an assembly line, with no special care for a client's given needs. This is not hair care, and your hair will be damaged over time. The customer service is not there, and never will be. Do yourself a favor, and find a hair care specialist. Styling without care is really just wasting your money! Slowly but surely, my current, here-to-stay stylist (Hiwot of Salon Revive) is undoing the damage inflicted by Judy's Salon! I was in search of a dominican hair salon in D.C. Well ladies I have found the BEST ONE, JUDITH'S. I went to get my hair done on the Saturday before Easter and I was in and out in 2 hours!!! My hair is so soft and bouncy. They are great and the prices are reasonable. I recommened JUDITH, I will be going there every two weeks from now on!!!! read more

For someone like me...I am all about business. I don't mind at all that they are quiet. I get to catch up on my sleep while the stylest working on my hair. Which by the way came out amazing. It may not be fancy on decor but I don't care the point is my hair was healthy, shinney, it moved great and I was beyond happy! Plenty of stylst to get the job done. I walked in the door, hung my coat, was in the shampoo bowl, to right under the dryer for my deep conditioner, rinse, roll, dry, style...out the door. I will go back for sure! read more

First off, as a Washingtonian, I'm always happy to receive service from people who understand my hair texture and will do my hair at a very reasonable price. Many salons, especially ones catered toward women of color are way too expensive for my simple procedure which is a wash, set, blow-dry, and straighten. I started coming to Judith specifically in college because the prices looked great for my budget and I heard they were quick and efficient. So I went. As a young lady who has been visiting hair salons my whole entire life, I felt like I entered my younger days as soon as I walked in. I was comforted by the Dominican radio station that was playing and the family oriented business they had structured. I did notice some off-vibes the first time I went so I struck up conversation and said hello to everyone and LOW AND BEHOLD, we all became friends immediately. Sometimes you should be the one to smile to receive a smile back, businesses contain humans too you know. Anyways, I've always believed that I could get good service but even better service depends on the relationship you attempt to build. Ever since my first time coming while in college, I have been loyal to Judith's for the fastest and cheapest hair styling experience I've ever received in my life. In only an hour and some change, sometimes less, I would get a thorough wash, sometimes a set, blow-dry, and straighten (with heat protection which you should always ask for at all salons because they don't all automatically apply it). All of this for $45, and of course I would add the tip later. My hair would last in this perfect condition for a VERY long time too. As someone who really cares about hair health, I believe the salon experience is what you make it. I've always been hesitant to go to any of the Doobie/Dominican shops down here. I'm from Jersey and I've seen what comes out of the shops here and what comes out of the shops up north. Frankly I feel the Dominican shops here are over-hyped and over priced. In either case, I found myself not having the patience (on a Monday) to wait the next day and get my hair done when my regular stylist was open. Actually on some rare occasions Ive had my hair done on a Monday( at Salon Essence). Judith's was the only place open that was taking walk-ins for chemical services at 3pm. I even tried the Bubbles in Pentagon and Capitol Hill, to no avail. I figured what the hey, Judith's is open and they're cheaper....I wish I just waited. The stylists, if you'd call them that, are hospitable but they don't style hair. The most conversation we had over how I wanted my hair styled was when she asked me what side I want my bangs to fall. My hair was bone straight and dint fall well. There was no styling done, just curls blown out. Essentially they charged $75 to apply relaxer and rollers to my hair. OVER PRICED!!!!! If you're going to increase your price to compare to other salons in the area you better at least try to give comparable service. Id rather give the extra $20 to get my hair done at a more reputable establishment. read more

this is my jam for when i hit the dc area. great spot. they know what theyre doing - stick with their specialty (a blow out) and you'll be a happy camper! they also work with you as much as they can. i mean, seriously, what can you complain about when stylists are trying to meet your needs? i like it. read more
