They supported me from the very beginning as a true beginner and patiently helped me improve my knowledge and confidence in cycling over time. They were always cooperative and found ways to help me upgrade my bikes with minimal cost, which I really appreciated. I purchased a Cervélo R5 from them and later they helped me trade it and order a Trek Domane SLR 7 SRAM Force for myself and my wife. I also bought my Wahoo KICKR Bike Shift smart bike through them, and Mike fully supported the shipment and home setup. At this point, it honestly feels like a daily relationship, almost like family. I brought my No. 22 Great Divide Titanium bike to Evolution when I found out that my bottom bracket was making creaking and crunching noises during my last few rides. Finally the crank nearly seized up on my last ride. I was not sure whether it was the bottom bracket or the crank shaft. I have had wonderful services from Evolution before, so instead of taking apart the crank and the bottom bracket myself, I decided to leave my precious with the capable gentlemen at Evolution. They did not disappoint. They treated my bike with respect and we had excellent communication in terms of expectation setting; what needs to be done; and the replacement parts that were required. Chris was very knowledgeable and thorough and made sure that I knew all the options. In the end I got my bike in the best time possible, under these pandemic schedules with scarce parts. Super thankful to the entire team at Evolutions and especially Chris for making it all happen without any surprises. This is my favourite toy store and it's in my neighbourhood, which is dangerous to my wallet!... If you're looking for a bike or you need your bike serviced then this is the place to go. They sell and service everything from casual entry level-bikes to top of the line racing bikes, they have a bike for everyone and every sized wallet. Mike, Tim and Jamie run the store, they are very friendly and really know their stuff, a cycling coach once told me that Jamie is the best bike mechanic in the GTA, my cousin, who is a serious into cycling, told me this is the best bike store around, so this is the place to go for everything cycling. When I went looking for a new bike a couple of years ago, I had no clue what I was looking for and what type of bike I needed. I dropped by the shop a dozen times before I bought my bike and every time I asked a lot of questions and I was always greeted with friendly service and never felt pressured to buy anything. They helped me figure out what I needed and they respected my price range, not trying to up sell me every time I turned around. I love my bike and since I got it I've ridden it over 1,500 km. I highly recommend this store and continue to use them for knowledge, and I leave too much of my money with them :-) read more

Wow wow wow. The guys at this bike shop are amazing! (Also shout out to Deborah, who was super helpful on the phone). I cannot rave enough about how awesome, easy and carefree buying a bike through them was. So here is a thing - buying a classic retro looking cruiser that's AFFORDABLE for a super tall dude is apparently REALLY difficult in Toronto. There is a bevy of hybrid bikes, mountain bikes and city bikes for tall dudes but they all started at $700 and just went up up up.My budget was $500 MAX and I kept reaching dead ends because I'd find bikes in my price range, but not classic cruisers, or I'd find beautiful bikes that cost an arm and a leg. And it just turns out that no company aside from Electra Bikes makes cruisers in tall frames. And apparently, no tall dudes in Toronto want cruisers because no effing shop sells them. And so here I was, losing hope when I stumbled on the Electra Cruisers website. After a bit of meandering I found a bike in a TALL FRAME. Electra listed Evolution Cycles as a stocker of the exact bike my boyfriend wanted, at a price you couldn't beat - 339.00 for a BADASS all black cruiser with those dreamy retro frame lines. As it turns out, Evolution is a really small shop but their website has a huge selection that ships from different bike maker warehouses - as was the case with the Electra cruiser I ordered online. Their website also allows you to place an order and pay at the shop once the bikes comes in. The shop has to build all bikes ordered through warehouses for insurance purposes (seems strange but whatevs) and the bike was ready in less than a week. And then a roadblock! The shop is located in Richmond Hill and I'm basically a Toronto gal, with my boyfriend who would be riding the bike living at Bathurst and College. Evolution doesn't normally deliver, but if you ask them real nice they might offer a fair price for delivery and they DID! The sweethearts at the shop (well, mostly Michael the owner) provided delivery for our bike and delivered it within a schedule that was comfortable for us. Once again, AMAZING JOB EVOLUTION CYCLES. The bike is big, black and beautiful and I am 100% envious of my boyfriends gorgeous cruiser. read more

Absolutlely ridiculous how the guys at the shop think that because of Covid they can price things however they want. Things have a price and just because you know stock is short and demand is high, does not mean you can just decide on whatever dollar value you want. Been going here for years, there was a great gentleman who spoke Spanish who's no longer there which is a shame, the guy in charge is not friendly and just looking to make a buck. You ask for something in a price range, they say sure come down but then show something more expensive with no other options, so why waste my time why mak Disappointed after many years of service, this pandemic is not an excuse to be greedy and I now have to find another bike shop to call home. read more

I recently bought my Trek 8.4 DS bike in this store. Next day I decided to take it for a first 80km ride, when about 40km from home the chain snapped and bike left me stranded in the Sunnybrook park. I have never seen something like that happen on a brand new bike before. Anyhow, imagine this.. As I am sitting in a park (late Saturday afternoon), looking at my smartphone and trying to find the nearest repair shop, I decided to also send an email to the store. It was 5 minutes before the store would close, but to my big surprise, Mike (the store owner) replied immediately back, giving me his phone number and asking me to call him asap. So I did and let me tell you...I had a hard time believing it. Mike was ready to drive 30-40km from Richmond Hill to pick me up along with the bike. I told him that I found a repair shop nearby (only 3km walking distance) which will fix the chain for $20, but told him I will call if I need a pickup (if something else happens). I was amazed with his willingness to help me out. He even said, that he will keep to store open until I come, so he can look at the bike and fix it for me properly. Mike also mentioned that nothing like that happened to any of these bikes before. When I told him, that this is not his mistake, that the bike chain is very likely a lemon straight from manufacturing, he offered to have my bike returned and giving me money back. As per him he didn't want me to have a bad taste in my mouth. Next day I eventually decided to return the bike, but let me say this,...If I ever buy a bike again (which might be very soon) I can guarantee you one thing, it'll be from Evolution Cycles here in Richmond Hill. This is my store to go to from now on. In any case, amazing experience. I can't recommend these guys enough. read more

It doesn't matter who you speak to at Evolution... they are all super friendly and know their stuff. My son and I are newbies in the bike world, but they've never once spoken down to us.
