I highly recommend them to family and friends.

Horrifying experience with this business. RUN! Do not walk away from any contact with this…read morebusiness. Check them on the licensing board (using the owner's name of Reggie Stevenson) and you may note that the license is "active." However you will note that effective November 14th, 2013 he has an exemption for Workers Compensation reportedly because he has no employees. REALLY!? However when you go to his website, there is no evidence that ANYTHING is other than business as usual for this guy. He did work for us and did NOT obtain permits for us which we discovered AFTER the fact. He was dishonest and withholding with information. He failed to return calls and came up with excuses for lapses while we were limping by on inadequate power. Our problems are STILL not resolved! I do NOT like to negatively YELP people but I do not want some other soul to be suckered into what happened for us. The guy is polite, charming and leads you to believe that you are receiving high end work. Indeed what work IS done may be high quality . . . . ONCE it is actually done. However we signed a contract in JULY . . . this is JANUARY and our work has NOT BEEN COMPLETED nor is he even communicating with us. We filed a complaint with the Licensing Board and even with that, it took a CATTLE prod to get their crew out to do some of the work remaining. Then they took off for the hills (so to speak.) We have AGAIN contacted the Licensing Board and threatened with litigation as we payed over $7000 in AUGUST but our work is not completed and there is no communication with the guy. If we had been jerks maybe the guy might not have done this. However I suspect that this is the way he is doing business now, for whatever reason. Frankly I am disappointed on many levels as the guy is likable and I hate to see people screw up their businesses or hurt their business with a crappy review. However I do NOT want someone else to go through what we are experiencing. Do NOT patronize this guy unless you want to risk having an experience like ours. We are now waiting for further followup from the Licensing Board as they are reopening the case for us.

This big project was carried out successfully, and I am satisfied with his work. He is an intelligent and hard working professional. Only after one week, he made impressive progress in the rewiring --- and avoid making unnecessary holes in the dry walls. He is very practical and thoughtful. He reminded me of the need of installing EV charger, though at this moment I do not have one, and I accepted his suggestion. He also helped me find a place to put my sub-panel, meeting the city requirements and it looks nice when done. He also has an excellent communication skill, and this proved to be quite essential when the PG&E service person was reluctant to cooperate. He successfully persuade that odd PG&E man and we had the panel upgraded in just one and half months after the project started. By the way, he took care of dealing with PG&E, saving lots of my time. If you are in need for an electrician for your home project, I would strongly recommend him.

I was in need of a licensed, capable, and highly rated electrician to replace a 44-year-old exhaust fan in the master bathroom of my condo. Checking Yelp, S&B Electric was one of the first I saw that matched my criteria. After reading many of the reviews, I submitted a request for quote through Yelp (late October or early November 2025). I received an automated text response with a list of questions to answer. I responded accordingly. Below is a timeline of subsequent communications: 11/03/25 - I sent a text to S&B requesting confirmation of receipt of my information. No response. 12/05/25 - I called and left a voice message 12/06/25 - I called Stewart directly and received an automated response stating, "I'll call you back." I replied, "Thank you." 12/06/25 - Stewart returned my call. During the conversation, he requested a photo of the existing fan. I obliged and immediately sent a picture. When I sent the picture, I received another automated response with the same questions I had received before. I completed them again in response. I received no confirmation of receipt. 12/10/25 - I sent a follow-up text to Stewart. No response. 12/17/25 - I called Stewart again, and again received an auto response, "I'll call you back." No call back happened. I put the entire project on hold for the next five or six months and focused on other things. During this time, I received no communication from Stewart or anyone else from S&B Electric. Always wanting to give people the benefit of the doubt, I decided to try one final time. On 5/06/26, I sent another request for quote through the form on the S&B Electric website and received an immediate automated response confirming receipt of my request. As of 5/13/26, I still had received NO RESPONSE. At this point, I had completely given up. I understand that many people had wonderful and positive experience with S&B Electric, and that is what I had based my initial decision off of. However, when a business or representative thereof fails to at least extend the courtesy of just replying to say they cannot, for whatever reason, accommodate a request for service, that non-response is equivalent to poor service overall. That said, since I cannot speak to the quality of their work, I must base my review off of the facts above. If the amount of stars is based on that, it would be 0/5. Consequently, I ended up working with another locally/minority owned/operated contractor, who not only provided exceptional service from initial call to intake to invoice, but they also got the job done in less than three hours and will be my contractor for all future electrical needs in my current home, and future home.
