They helped us site the panels on our complex steep gabled roof, put conduits through our attic, and positioned the batteries and switches well to help minimize the esthetic impact. We have seen our total kWh decline below our pre-solar values in winter. Their installation team with head electrician Daniel were on-time, capable professionals. Because Ally had a competitive bid, we asked them to do some additional upgrades including an additional solar panel and upgrading a junction box. I spoke with many contractors, and almost all of them sent salespeople who gave generic answers or tried to push cookie-cutter solutions that clearly didn't fit my setup. Carlos was completely different. From the moment he arrived, it was clear he wasn't a salesperson -- he's an engineer, and it shows. He took the time to deeply understand my system, reviewed actual spec sheets on the spot, and immediately identified issues that other contractors completely missed. Multiple companies told me Hyundai panels would work fine. Carlos checked the amperage limits, applied proper safety margin calculations, and clearly explained why those panels would not work with my EcoFlow system -- saving me from a costly mistake. This review is for the service I received from Anthony Mendoza & Leroy…read more I already had solar panels and a SunPower device installed in our new build home when we first moved in but after about two years, the device needed maintenance. I was contacted by Blue Raven Solar / Complete Solar to replace my SunPower device with an Enphase device, and Anthony and Leroy were the technicians assigned to complete this service for me. They were able to get the device installed within an hour to an hour and a half, and they set me up with the Enphase app as well. They were able to walk me through the app and the installation and confirm that everything was working properly. Only complaint that I had was that I was given an arrival time frame of 8am to 10am, and they arrived closer to noon, but they mentioned they had a few other appointments before mine which can cause delays which is understandable. Otherwise, the installation was smooth and everything is working properly.

Upon Ryan's recommendation, we also decided to replace the solar panel racking system installed by Sunrun because we were plagued with roof leaks due to improper sealing of their footings. Ryan and the Northstar team were absolute champs at removing and reinstalling the new system for us. Everyone we dealt with was so professional, kind and easy going. The work was beautifully done and based on all the photos and detail provided by Ryan I am confident we will be safe from leaks going forward. Got Watts installed two phases of solar panels on my roof, 67 panels in total. The job was massive,…read morethe price was fair, and the follow up service was excellent. There were hardware glitches after installation, but the Got Watts team reliably spotted them - without me realizing there was even an issue - and sent teams out to ensure my equipment worked as promised. Years later I noticed some leaks through my roof where some phase 2 panels were installed. I notified Got Watts and they sent large crews to my home to rectify the issue over several days. This was no small fix. They probably spent vastly more to rectify the leaks than they did to install the panels to begin with. No one likes to have problems with an install. But, it means a lot for a contractor to honor their commitment and spend vast sums to honor their warranty, and their word, to their customer. I've had "good companies" make promises they wouldn't honor once the initial check cleared. Got Watts was true to their word and treated me in a dignified manner that is rare these days. Joe came out to provide the estimate, and he and another installer completed the installation in just one day. They recommended using a pool cover to help retain heat overnight when temperatures drop, and that advice has worked well for us. Since installing the system and using the pool cover, our pool temperature has been averaging around 82°F in the morning and warming up to approximately 85-87°F during the day. We haven't experienced many really hot days yet, but so far the system is performing exactly as we had hoped. We're very happy with our decision and are glad we finally made the switch to solar.

Responses were slow and vague; I could not even get a ballpark estimate without repeated follow-ups. My last email requesting scheduling went unanswered, and then--three weeks later--Joe called on May 6 saying he was eight minutes away. I had no idea I'd been scheduled, and I was just lucky to be home. Bottom line: if you can get on Joe's calendar, you'll likely be happy with the repair. Just be prepared for shaky communication and scheduling from the office staff.
