This Tesla charing spot is always super busy and many times has a bit of a wait…read more It's always almost packed on weekdays in the AM when I go (~8am-10am) and especially on the weekends. Oddly some weekend mornings have been ok. The reason I am giving less stars is more so the caliber of Tesla owners who come to this spot. I get not all people who charge here are locals (I am definitely not, but come here enough to visit family and see the issues with this location), but man some people just don't have any etiquette, but also in combination of how the layout is, it causes so much traffic coming into the parking lot. It is too close to the entrance so the line wraps around towards the entrance causing congestion and to help elevate this, some drive around to the other side of the chargers causing confusion on who was there first and many end up cutting the line by going around to the other side. On a positive note, you can kill time by walking around the shopping area or grab a bite to eat or boba near buy. The down fall, is the reception in some areas are bad or goes in and out so I recommend to set an alarm (this is for both AT&T and T-mobile carriers). Overall: I do like the location, just not the layout. If you just plan in sitting in your car, many charging stations have opened up near by, so I recommend going there instead to avoid the chaos. However, if you do plan on shopping or killing time, then this is a nice spot to charge, but just prepare for a possible wait or get frustrated by people cutting you in line. It is a safe area, so that is another thing you can count on and if you really want to charge here, I recommend to come early early in the morning before things are open or late at night when things are closing to guarantee less of a wait. One last thing, if you come here on a busy weekend night, be prepared to have non EV cars park in the charging stations as well!

On our way back from Glen Ivy Hot Springs, the Tesla mapping system brought us to the Chino Hills Mall. The directions (Tesla mapping) told us it was full and tried to send us to another charging location further away- although the system was faulty in directing us to the correct place in a busy mail- we finally found it next to Wood Ranch and it was NOT full. We found a spot and walked over to Old Navy and came back in 30 minutes and we were on our way home. I find no fault in this charging station, although some signage somewhere would've been nice. I can't stand the hassle of doing this every time we leave Los Angeles but that's the "Joy" of owning an Elon car...

I now have to be at this location between 430-6am to charge without having to wait. This location needs more charging stations. Of the 3 stations one is ALWAYS out of order and sometimes even 2. There are at least 2-3 EVs queueing to charge, constant wait at all hours except for 11pm to 4am if that works for you. My experience this morning was painful where the charging speed maxed at 59 kW. Absolutely regretting charging here at 5am. The next EA charging location is 10 miles in San Dimas. That location has 350kW and waits too, but goes faster because of the faster charge speed. Add more stations at the Target DB. The EA app is not consistent with the reality of the charging stations. What shows as available on the app (for example station 1), is not operating in reality it's been like this For so long and erodes at the reliability of the EA app. I'm going to bet it's been called in already and there's a work order on it. It's frustrating for customers who see it. People back into the spot, going through the motions of connecting to charge, sometimes they call customer service, vicious cycle really. It's super frustrating having to troubleshoot but unable to connect (90% failure rate, it's rare). When in reality so many people have already done this, but the app keeps showing open availability. Someone actually taped a handwritten sign on station #1 that says, out of order. But of course someone else ripped it off, because they're special, oh wait they were not able to connect. Surprise surprise!

In the one year that Jen and I have been dating, this place has improved and provided many fun days and nights. The Christmas decorations were wonderful and this past weekend they had the Lunar New Year celebration, with many additional pop-up vendors in the street (closed off for pedestrians). We enjoyed walking, talking and exploring all the additional vendors and also the people (and dog) watching was top notch. Judging by the crowd turnout, I would say that this was a successful event, and I hope they add more events like this going forward. Many great restaurants, shops, craft stores and plaza entertainment. Water fountains and train rides for the kids (and some adults too). Whether you come here to dine, shop or just hang out and enjoy the weather with others, this place is a solid choice.

Over the past few years, Brea Mall has undergone a major transformation with the addition of a…read morebeautifully renovated wing and outdoor area. The new mix of shopping, dining, and family-oriented offerings has made it an even better destination. I'm go to the Uniqlo and Shibuya LA all the time, which are fantastic additions for anyone looking for Japanese fashion, skincare, and cosmetics. Several existing retailers have also refreshed their spaces, including Coach and Lululemon, giving the mall a more modern feel. The outdoor plaza and children's play area are wonderful additions for families. It's a great place to relax while kids burn off some energy and the pet-friendly outdoor spaces make it even more inviting. The dining scene has also improved dramatically. With restaurants like Din Tai Fung, North Italia, Kalbi Social Club (KBBQ), The Melt, and Pacific Catch all within steps of the mall. There are plenty of excellent sit-down options for before or after shopping. The addition of LA Fitness and the new apartment complex will likely make this area even more vibrant and lively. Brea Mall has done an impressive job evolving into more than just a shopping center. It's revived the mall and become a true community destination where you can shop, dine, exercise, and spend the day with family and friends.

Whoa! It's been 9 years since my last review; time for an update!…read more This is one of the few malls that's still thriving. After Sears closed, they tore it down and are now building a nice outdoor retail/dining area with some decent restaurants. I'm not sure why apartments taking over a mall parking lot are such a big deal, and not sure I would want to live that close to a major mall, but I assume they make money. The one they do is take up parking. Which is my only complaint. Parking here can be a pain. Whatever you do, never park in the parking garage next to Nordstrom's when it's busy. The cars backed up on the street can be insane, and the guys with the flags to control traffic seem to be there only to help pedestrians cross the road. The last time I tried to park there, we ended up on the very top, which was also full, and only got a spot because someone left. Parking behind the men's/houseware Macy's store used to be great, but then they locked those doors. During the holiday, parking is already bad enough, but with this expanded area, it's only going to get worse. Inside the mall, I do love the mix of stores. The food court has just enough variety to make most people happy. It's also a great mall for walking, especially if you end up parking far enough away from an entrance to earn some extra steps.

I scheduled my appointment through the Tesla app and arrived on time, expecting my vehicle to be inspected and repaired. Instead, I was told that the system should never have allowed me to schedule the appointment because the Upland location does not perform this type of repair. I was then directed to a third-party company without receiving any assistance. This experience wasted my time and was extremely frustrating. If the Upland Service Center does not perform this type of repair, Tesla's scheduling system should prevent customers from booking these appointments, or someone should contact the customer in advance to explain the situation. Turning customers away after they arrive is not the level of service I expect from Tesla. I have always appreciated Tesla's products, but this experience fell well below my expectations. I would appreciate an explanation of why this happened, what steps Tesla is taking to prevent similar situations, and whether anything can be done to improve my experience moving forward. Thank you for taking the time to review my concerns. I look forward to your response. Sincerely, Andrew Oum

The landscaping and open-air layout made for a relaxing shopping experience, and everything looked well cared for. The only reason I'm giving four stars instead of five is that a few of the stores I was hoping to visit weren't here, and it got a bit crowded during peak hours. However, one concern that has become more noticeable over the past year is the lack of enforcement on the main streets. There are frequently vehicles speeding through busy areas where families and children are walking, and many drivers seem more focused on showing off how loud their cars are than driving safely. It's not uncommon to hear multiple cars revving their engines within just a few minutes. This creates a very unsafe environment and takes away from what should be a welcoming community space. Increasing police presence, even for short periods of time, would make a noticeable difference and help deter this behavior. I truly believe Victoria Gardens is a great place, but addressing this issue would go a long way in keeping it safe and enjoyable for everyone.
