One room is all clothing and necessities, the other has toys, games and books. Clothes are all organized by size and type. There's even a "free shelf" and you just take what you want. I also scored beautiful cream wool placemats with the word Noel embroidered in silver metallic thread and surrounded by beads! The staff is so friendly, helpful, and happy! We came here once before to see if we could find six cocktail glasses and were rewarded with a big selection of sizes, styles, and price range! This in comparison to a couple of other thrift stores I shopped that had a smaller selection and less well organized... at Treasures each jacket was marked with the size, a huge time saver. On impulse I also bought a spice rack organizer which leads to a cautionary tale about shopping at thrift shops. After a good amount of time trying to assemble it I realized that pieces were missing. Hopefully this was an inadvertent error on the part of the donor in gifting what was essentially a worthless item. Can't blame Treasures because they can't be expected to open and examine every $10 item. Still 5 stars in my book. Also: they have a Dutch auction system where certain things get markdowns on predetermined dates. So if you want to take your chances, you may get that desired item even cheaper.... or, it may be sold out from under you. But that's Saratoga for you.

Definitely a place to hit up if you wanna nab some old cracked Precious Moments figurines (I know I do!) or rusty kitchen appliances that probably don't work (I definitely do) or some old musty cardigan sweaters (I'll take 'em all!). And if you're prepared to drop the big bucks, you might get lucky and find an old English Leather Aftershave gift set at the front counter. Some chipped depression glass, old postcards and a busted-up violin might also be within your reach too depending on the day. When I stopped in recently I scored a Golden Girls Christmas sweatshirt and an ugly retro canvas suitcase from the 70s, so obviously a damn good haul for me. My girlfriend actually liked the Golden Girls sweater and suggested I wear it to her friend's ugly Christmas sweater party. Naturally, I told her I would sooner burn it than allow it to be worn to such an event. Luckily, it's way too small for me anyway and will probably just sit on a shelf in my closet for a few years until I decide to cycle it out into a garbage bag for long-term storage in the basement. Ugly Christmas sweater party... The suitcase, however, will be displayed prominently among my ever-growing collection of vintage luggage.

As soon as you step in, the place smells a bit funky. Dig around and you will find some nice leather jackets and decor for the house. There are different colored tags for specific items each day of the week. Mondays are half off! It gets busy. Not the best Salvation Army location i've been to, but a good place to find special party themed clothing. Jewelry is kept in a glass shelf in the front of the store. If you buy glass items, the staff members will wrap it for you in newspapers. There is some furniture, books, lots of clothes, cups, plates, lamps, purses, and decorations for the house. Service here didn't really stand out.

Associated with the neighboring Italian American Museum, this thrift store is only open Tuesdays…read moreand Saturdays, 10 a.m.-2 p.m. We had to plan our visit carefully to make sure we got there when it was open. Many of the items seem to have either been donated by elderly folks or donated perhaps after folks passed and they have a great selection of vintage home goods including cocktail glasses, plates and an array of flatware. I scored a beautiful oyster fork here for a mere 25 cents and some nice commemorative plates from Christmas 1979 for $3 each. They also had a number of cordial glasses and wine decanters. The selection of clothes is rather small although they did have a ton of jeans. There are also some books and DVDs and handbags. Highly recommend for home goods. If you go looking just for clothes you may be disappointed. All proceeds benefit the American Italian Heritage Association and Museum, a non-profit.
