I had a very disappointing experience with DeLand Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram…read more I went in, agreed on a deal for a used car, and planned to pick it up the next day because I had to work. I had already sold my previous vehicle so I could use the money as a down payment. Instead, I waited five days and had to make two phone calls before I was finally told the car had been ready, and I was made to feel like the delay was somehow my fault--even though I had been told the vehicle would be ready. When I picked up the vehicle, it still had auction writing all over the windshield, making it obvious that it hadn't even been properly cleaned or prepared for delivery. I brought it up to the salesman, but he didn't seem to care or make any effort to address my concern. When I reviewed the paperwork, I found I had been signed up for a tire package that I don't remember agreeing to, especially since the vehicle didn't need new tires. When I called the dealership, the person at the front desk came across as dismissive and didn't seem interested in handling my concerns professionally. A few months later, I returned to the dealership with my brother, and instead of addressing my experience, I was encouraged to delete my review. I wasn't interested in removing an honest review when I still felt my concerns had never been resolved. To make matters worse, just seven days after purchasing the vehicle, the battery failed and I had to spend about $200 out of my own pocket to replace it. A manager eventually contacted me weeks later and offered a complimentary detail as a goodwill gesture. I accepted the offer, but after that I never heard back. Overall, I felt let down by the communication, the condition the vehicle was delivered in, the customer service, and the way my concerns were handled after the sale. Based on my experience, I would not recommend this dealership.

I purchased a **2023 Kia Sorento** from this dealership in June. The vehicle was sold as **dealer…read morecertified**, came with a warranty, and had just over 60,000 miles. I was excited because this was my first newer vehicle, but unfortunately, it has been one problem after another. Within **two days** of purchasing the vehicle, the air conditioning stopped working. I made an appointment and brought it in. Vincent initially told me the repair would cost **$260**. After questioning the charge, I called my husband, who has extensive automotive experience, and asked Vincent to speak with him. My husband explained that the A/C system is sealed and that the pressure readings indicated there was clearly a leak. Suddenly, the repair went from costing $260 to only my **$50 warranty deductible**. While I appreciated that the issue was ultimately covered, I was left wondering why I was quoted $260 in the first place. Just **three days later**, while driving at highway speed with my children in the vehicle, the car suddenly flashed a warning message and **shut off while I was driving**. The dashboard displayed a message instructing me to put the vehicle in neutral and press the start button. It was terrifying. I had to read the message multiple times before I understood what it was telling me to do. Thankfully, I was able to restart the vehicle safely. When I took the vehicle back for an oil change, I immediately asked them to check for the fault code. I was simply told they couldn't find it. About a week later, the **driver's exterior door handle broke**, leaving me unable to open the driver's door from the outside. I now have to climb across the inside of my own 2023 vehicle just to drive it. I was told the repair would be covered with my **$50 deductible**, but the part would take about two months. Two months have passed, and I have **never received a single phone call or update** about the repair. This has been an incredibly disappointing experience. Spending **$26,000** on what was supposed to be a certified, reliable vehicle should not come with this many issues so quickly. Ironically, my **2015 Nissan Sentra** gave me far fewer headaches than this "certified" vehicle. The only positive part of my experience was the sales staff, who were friendly and helpful. Unfortunately, the service department has completely overshadowed that. Based on my experience, I cannot recommend this dealership to anyone looking for a dependable vehicle or reliable customer service. **Buyer beware.**

We worked with Victor, who was pleasant, but he made a promise he wasn't authorized to keep. He told us the vehicle would come with a second key, and later we were informed they would not provide one or credit the $550 cost. When even Luis the Ops Director refused to offer any solution, we walked away from the deal. After thinking it over, we decided to move forward with the purchase and absorb the cost of getting a second key made ourselves. We had Subaru of Daytona make a second key, costing us $550.00. Unfortunately, the issues didn't stop there. After test driving two vehicles and choosing the one I wanted, they drafted paperwork for the wrong car. I also clearly explained that the title and registration needed to be in both my name and my husband's, just like our trade in. Larry in finance told me they'd have to redo all the paperwork and that it would "take more time," then suggested I wait 30 days and pay additional fees at the DMV to fix their mistake. When I expressed concern, Larry laughed and told me not to be "so pessimistic." Larry's mistake cost me another $85.50 to have the title and registration corrected. Six days after purchasing the car, I noticed oil spots all over my driveway of which I posted photos on my Google review. Instead of contacting Parks, I went directly to Subaru of Daytona, where I learned the wrong drain plug crush washer had been used during the last oil change and subsequently I had to pay to get the correct part installed and refill the oil resulting in an additional cost of $76.31. Subaru of Daytona also found issues with the front tires and alignment. The tires had inconsistent tread wear signaling an underlying issue which we found to be the alignment as well as tire pressure and a damaged tire, all adding up to an additional $919.00 out of pocket. I expected far better service from this dealership since I see a lot of cars that have been purchased at Parks. This purchase cost me an additional $1,630.81, I can see why your staff kept pushing me to sign the "AS IS" document. If I was buying a car privately I would have gotten a PPI, but considering Parks to be a reputable dealership, I took your staff at their word that a full inspection had been performed on the vehicle and a PPI would not be necessary. The way I was treated by your employees left me feeling angry and embarrassed that I did business with Parks and I should at least be reimbursed for these egregious actions caused by their unprofessionalism. I reached out to Parks' GM Adam Berman who has ignored my correspondence. The actions of this dealership not only cost me a significant amount of money a week after purchasing the vehicle, but also caused a great deal of inconvenience. As of yesterday 10/07/26, I unloaded the car I purchased at Parks and purchased a new one at Daytona Subaru. Fabulous staff! Totally transparent, NO additional fees like the worthless $2,000 Parks package and I WON'T be driving a vehicle that advertises Parks!!

After 2 very poor purchase experiences and an unsuccessful 3rd attempt last year at Gary Yeoman…read moreHonda in Daytona, I had decided I had enough and for our 3rd Honda purchase decided to try Coggin Deland Honda. Went in Monday morning, made the deal without much hassle, went back to work, and picked up the vehicle that evening. They had to get a black on black from their storage lot or sister dealership otherwise I would have driven out with it right then and there in record time (comparatively speaking). I remember my 2 previous purchases with GYH had a lot of back and forth, took ALL day (my first purchase at GYH literally took the entire weekend) and were just painful, miserable and exhausting. I think their strategy is basically to beat you into submission. Truly befuddling compared to my Coggin experience. At Coggin, I had Sam as a Sales Rep (good cop) and he was a little more involved than the sales rep from GYH which meant I didn't have to deal with the Sales Manager (bad cop) as much. In all 3 of my experiences at GYH, the Sales Manager(s) were very rude, unprofessional and disrespectful (even as a repeat customer) so tbh I had a short fuse going into Coggin. When it came to talking price the sales manager put up a little fight but (smartly) knew when to back off so we agreed on purchase price and trade in value without too much BS. The finance guy also was also pretty laid back and was "no pressure" in terms of add-ons after the fact which I appreciated. So overall, I would say it was a fairly painless experience all things considered. In terms of a sales rep, I'd like to think that whoever you get at Coggin will also be as professional, polite, respectful and thorough as SAM as their overall corporate culture (on this visit) seemed more relaxed than GYH. So hopefully he is a representation of the rule not the exception. There's a lot of negativity that comes with buying a car at GYH. Not so much at Coggin. I can only hope for positive experiences with the service dept. Time will tell..but based on my experience thus far I would recommend giving Coggin a shot. Best of luck.
