Extremely unprofessional, untimely, and overpriced. We had an HVAC leak which caused our ceiling to cave in and ruined our floors on July 4, 2017. 1. We called our home warranty company and they had someone out about a week or more later. However, our homeowner's insurance had the adjuster out there that weekend.
2. When Everyday Heating finally came out they made an assessment on a work order that my husband signed and then we NEVER heard back from them, they were supposed to begin work in the next couple days. I went to FL for a month, and my husband followed two weeks after me for two weeks. But we had someone here to let them in if need be.
3. When we returned we called them the next day and they finally sent someone back out because they LOST the work order (and to find out later they never submitted it to the warranty company).
4. We called every day/ every other day or so to see when they could begin work. There were uncovered charges of $400 that we had to approve and we did so as soon as we had an answer from them about what these charges were. The parts were ordered and should have arrived that week. They still DID NOT come out until another two weeks later.
5. We scheduled for them to come on September 6, 2017 - 2 MONTHS and 2 DAYS from the date of loss. At this point the leaks are occurring every day and if we run the air it's like a waterfall into the buckets in our foyer, towels everywhere EVERY DAY. Which we've expressed to them repeatedly.
6. The technician comes at about 9:30, he assesses the situation and says he's trying to decide what to do because we'd be without air for a day, we said that was fine. An hour later, while we think he's waiting for someone and he hasn't done anything but walk in and outside, he says that we have to pay $550 BEFORE he can start work. I told him I had only known about and only approved $400 of uncovered charges and that the office staff had told me that we didn't need to pay until they finished the work or they could even send us an invoice later. Come to find out that AFTER I approved the uncovered charges they called the warranty company and said that we needed another part that wasn't covered for $150 more and we were not informed by either the warranty company nor Everyday Heating until they arrived.
7. On top of all of this the original work Order from July said the condensing unit needed to be replaced and the one from August didn't. (Which I had sent an email of the discrepancy to Everyday Heating with pictures of the two invoices that's and was assured it'd be taken care of.) So they had not reported the condensing unit and were not authorized to fix it and were only going to fix what we thought was part of the problem for $550.
8. We told the technician to leave and that with this many issues we no longer would be doing business with them. We called the warranty company and expressed our unpleasant experience. They had another company come out a week later, which was today, the tech said that the ONLY issue we have is cracks in our drain pans. Everything else that Everyday Heating said was wrong wasn't and that they were just trying to make money off of us. Also, one of Everyday Heating's techs had UNHOOKED one of the ducts and didn't put it back when they inspected it and made this terrible noise every time we had the air on!!!!!
9. If you call them they either a) DONT ANSWER the phone or b) DONT RETURN YOUR CALLS/ MESSAGES. I even asked to speak with a manager and the lead tech and NEVER heard from either one!!!
10. Gianna, the girl that answers the phone, is very nice and tries to be helpful, but that doesn't make up for all the issues.
DO NOT HIRE THESE PEOPLE!!! They will screw you over and treat you very unprofessionally. They do NOT care about you or your home, only about getting as much money out of you as they can.
Also, they're not open on the weekends or late in the day, so forget about any emergencies because they won't do the work unless it's convenient for them and they will leave you without air in the South Carolina heat!!!! read more
