Let me preface by saying that the place is super clean and the staff is very friendly. That being said, my breakfast sandwich was subpar in terms of flavor and quality of the ingredients. The bacon was definitely over cooked and the roll was mealy and not fresh. To top it off, they wanted $13.01 for a bacon, sausage, egg & pepperjack sandwich. I could've fed my family for the price of this 1 star meal. Needless to say, this was a learning experience and I will get breakfast in my home town from now on. This place is below average in terms of quality & service. Outrageously overpriced for subpar freshness & overall taste. The macaroni salad never tastes fresh, meanwhile it's a ridiculous charge for a quarter pound. The sandwiches are always edible, just never memorable. The only reason I come here time to time is because it is on my way to work in the area. Otherwise, I would never have returned after my first visit. I'm always paying at least $15+ for a little sandwich, old macaroni salad & a water bottle. I can name numerous bagel stores in my neighborhood who exceeds all expectations in every area including friendliness. The workers aren't necessarily nasty, just can improve in the friendly department. I'll always remember the time one of the employees refused to toast my bagel as she started buttering it because I forgot to ask as I was ordering (& she forgot to offer.) I had to pay a ridiculous amount for a cold bagel with hard butter. This is such a nice area, it's a shame this place does not match it! read more

There's nothing more NY than an egg sandwich, and this place seems to not be able to execute it correctly, and their unlisted coffee is not free on weekends is borderline scam. I bought a hungry man sandwich because I was going fishing and wasn't going to eat all day. A hungry man is $8 and $1 more for it on a hero. Really? Hungry man is always a hero. Their rolls are pretty cheap tasting, and do not have the crisp crust that other delis have. The eggs were well done, and there was only 2-3 pieces of bacon, a single slice of ham, and 1 piece of sausage. The icing on the cake here was that coffee is NOT included despite what the sign says and a 10oz coffee is 1.75! They did not mention this and when the total came out to $19 and change for a egg sandwich, and hungry man with coffee I asked. They told me only weekdays. No deli does that! Also all surrounding delis have free coffee, are cheaper, and have a better sandwich. I replied "That's stupid, I'll never be back again" and that is the truth. Little House of Heros is like 500ft away, no reason to go here. This is a competitive business and ripping off your customers with some unlisted stupid not valid on weekend exception isn't going to win you any business. read more

Pretty impressed with this deli for the area. There's a lot of flukes around but this is a true, quality deli with variety. Just what we'd expect on Long Island. I recommend going there and picking up food over door dash! They are reliable and have correct orders in store, door dash seems to impede that. I had to throw out the mushy coffee soaked bagel and have an iced tea for lunch. Just to put it out there I don't even do yelp reviews but felt so strongly about this I had to share. Racist. Rude. Ignorant. Frequently visited this establishment until recently when myself and a friend (who is middle eastern) went one morning for coffee and bagels. My friend is extremely quite and reserved and these two older gentleman had ZERO problem making sure she was uncomfortable as possible. When we went to pay the man wanted to remake her drink "special" because they happen to "mess it up" and proceeded into the back (away from eye distance) even though they made mine and hers right in front of us at first. When she politely asked for creamer they told her " Coffee is in the back and if you want it you can make it yourself"raising his voice with every word that came out of his mouth. Even after receiving my bagels the own pushed them across the counter and looked at us both saying BYE while staring us down as we left. Never in my life have I seen such blatant racism.
