I moved here from Virginia and I had a hard time finding a good place to tan. I tried a couple different locations and the staff either was rude or very unprofessional or the beds weren't exactly what I was looking for. I was referred to itan by one of my friends that lives here, specifically this location and so I tried it. The staff is professional, very knowledgable and passionate about what they do there and that is hard to find now days. The beds in my experiences have always been clean along with the common areas. The pricing is good surprisingly, I did a lot of looking and some were outrageous but itan has a pretty good rate. There is literally everything there that you could want. She apologized, explained things to me. She also let me know, the girls working that evening were both new and had gotten the 'rules' mixed up. I ended up coming back to the store. iTan was the best addition to San Clemente! My first trip there I signed up to be a member as I recognized the value in what they offer. For only $100/month you have unlimited access to the ENTIRE spa. I don't know about you, but I will not pay $100/month for only tanning benefits. But tanning AND spa services - that has my attention. In addition to having multiple user friendly spa services- the staff is always helpful, knowledgeable of products and very friendly. I have a busy and unpredictable schedule, it is very convenient to just drop in when it's convenient for me to receive spa treatments. I've been a member for almost a year now, and I will not be revoking my membership anytime soon- I don't care if I need the money- it's too valuable to me. If you don't have time to head to Massage Envy or Burke Williams, you can get your much needed alone or quiet time quickly at iTan. And lastly, I will mention the cleanliness. This facility has always impressed me with how clean they are. I have been to MANY a tanning/spa places in my day and not for one second have I ever had to question whether or not a bed has been cleaned. I've been to those kinds of places, and will never return, a lack of cleanliness shows that a company does not value its customers, and iTan CLEARLY values its customers. I got an amazing custom airbrush from Yelena. It was a heated application, totally customizable, & had a bronzed color that looks very natural! I love the way it looks and have received many compliments on how naturally it looks. Also she is very sweet, funny, I loved our conversations, and she makes you feel completely comfortable the entire time! Highly, highly recommend coming in and getting something done. This review is long overdue. Great beds/products and excellent staff. Melissa went above and beyond for me and helped me when I felt overwhelmed trying to get ready for my trip to Cabo. She created a personalized tanning schedule for me for the month before my trip and it worked perfectly. I had a blast on my trip and never burned. I can't thank her enough!! :) Also, Elise was super helpful when I signed up and checks in with me when I see her and Jordan always remembers my name and is super sweet. Wow. Okay. Let me say that this was the BEST tanning salon that I have ever been to! No joke. This place has everything and anything. They have the all different kinds of beds as well as spa treatments and both mystic tan and versa spa. The salon was super clean too. Went in to get a spray tan and it turned out amazing! The airbrush went on evenly and ended up looking very natural. The lady doing my airbrush talked to me which made it not awkward and explained everything as she did it. Almost 2 months ago I came in for a tan and walked out with not just a tan, but red light treatment for my face to get rid of wrinkles and imperfections, red light and. Vibration for my body for any imperfections and to rid of cellulite and a body wrap to get rid of extra inches and a hydro for my body ( a essence sauna to get my skin super soft and healthy) 2 months later my skin, face and and body look healthier, younger and so much softer. So, let me be honest, I haven't been in a tanning bed since the 80's, but I am preparing to go on a trip and I need a tan. So, I heard about iTan and WOW! It's not just a tanning salon! I never intended on signing up for a membership the first time I went there. I simply wanted to tan once or twice because I bought a much smaller bathing suit bottom and didn't want to sport the look until I adjusted my tan lines. However, on my first day I signed up for a membership w/Aubree. She is so sweet (as all the girls there are!) and they are all so knowledgeable about the products and tanning. And it's not just for tanning! I love the hydro bed to rehydrate my skin. And they have a red light therapy that helps reduce the look of cellulite and stretch-marks. (I never knew this technology existed prior to joining there!) I have a membership that allows me to have unlimited use of tanning and all the spa facilities. Honestly I had planned on just using the membership for a month or two and then cancelling but my husband loved the look and I enjoy my time there so I am going to keep my membership. I had an amazing experience! I used the smart bed (tanning bed) and it was so relaxing. I loved that it had the misters to keep me cool :). I also used both of the spray tan stations on two separate days and loved those as well. I think I look great and will definitely be using the spray tan station again. I loved it. iTan is AWESOME!! I have been tanning for a long time now and have experienced both good and bad. I was tanning at another salon in San Clemente and trying to get info about the beds was like pulling teeth. We've all heard about the alleged negative side effects of UV exposure, but nothing about the true benefits. There are some rules to follow to make sure you get the best and safest tanning experience available; for me that is keeping my UV A and B levels in check. When asking about those levels in the various beds at my old location no one knew what to say. One should know what they are doing to their skin and it is important that the people setting my bed know what they are doing. At iTan not only did the staff know what levels of UV exposure each bed offered, they showed me the literature from the manufacturer. So I can safely tan knowing that I am maximizing the benefits of healthy UV exposure while eliminating over exposure and the possible negative side effects. They also offer two different types of sunless tanning which are both great, but I prefer the VersaPro because of it's open concept and the pre and post sprays which really do make a difference in the color and longevity of my spray tan. Finally their spa services are amazing; from the Hydro Therapy Steam to the Beauty Angel red light collagen therapy booth and the iFit body wrap along with the Lumiere facial my skin not only has amazing color, glow and tone, but has never looked better! By the way I recommend getting the all access monthly package, you will want to take full advantage of everything they offer. Christina has the best salon I have been on my life. Not only is she the sweetest, kindest woman. You can see she takes Pride in her employees as well as her establishment. The Establishment is always very well kept. As for her employees Shay, Darlene, Alexis just to name a few. Alexis stayed really late 1 night + had shared something that I will never forget all mentioned are extremely hard workers + stay late even when it is end of night + I'm showing up to tan. They also always let me know of any deals coming up + will explain any products over + over because I always forget. I have been to many places in the past with this 1 being my absolute favorite. Even with Groupon + all other stuff out there I told my girlfriend's I wont even bother. There's nothing that will compare to excellent intimate service you get at ITAN San Clemente. im originally from nyc and ibwas visiting the area for a wedding. I have been to several different tanning salons in Philly, NYC, and CT. On my visit to Cali I came across ITan. As soon as I walked in I was greeted with a smile and a tour of the spa by the manager Kristina and the staff. The cleanliness of each room and front desk area was truly impeccable. After my tour, they were discussing contracts, upon finding out I was only visiting, I expected to get less attention given to me...but it was the exact opposite. They went out of their way to make sure I had a great experience and even gave me a discount on a product I bought because I wasn't receiving any perks by signing up for sessions or a contract. I tried their aroma hydrotherapy and stand up tanning booth. Both were awesome. I was so impressed that I came back the next day and brought my friend. They again took the time to give my friend a tour as well. Out of all the tanning places I've been, 5 in total, nothing compares to the beds, stand up nooths, and other spa treatments they have. The staff was awesome and I'm jealous and sad I don't have this place, especially the staff by me. read more
