Your family Doctor deals with just normal people (NOT ATHLETES) As funny or ridiculous as this may sound, think about it for a minute. Athletes have different pains than the normal people. The staff here are phenomenal and the environment is great. My advice to any parent with an athlete (kid) experiencing a little pain (obviously broken bones -go to ER).... take them to the sport clinic first.

I had pain in my knee for about three years. I also had bone on bone in my hip but never felt any…read morepain in my hip. To complicate the diagnosis I also had two other confirmed diagnoses of my knee. One doctor suggested a surgical procedure to correct one diagnosis of my knee. Another doctor said I needed a knee replacement, I did not. My Ortho doctor that I trust, confirmed that I did not need a knee replacement. Dr Tailor, who does not perform surgical procedures but looks for alternatives to surgery, determined that some of the pain in my knee was radiating from my hip and referred me back to my other, (Dr Tailor being one of them now) favorite Ortho Doctor Dustin Briggs for a hip replacement. I had the hip surgery about four months ago and the pain in my knee has definitely diminished. I still have some minor pain in my knee and still have the initial two diagnoses of my knee but the pain is not as severe. I am currently seeing Dr Tailor and he is trying options to determine what will work best. As he said, he likes to solve mysteries. He is wonderful, inquisitive and caring and has several options available, we shall see which one works. I highly recommend him. I like that surgery will be the last option, not the first.

By end of day on Tuesday I called my primary doctor office to get a new referral for home support. Wednesday morning I called the new referral authorization they said they did not have the authorization yet even though I gave them the number. I destiny home health.com/ waited 5 hours & called back still they had not received authorization. I call my medical center back ask them to fax it to Destiny home, I waited 20 minutes & called them back to see if the received the authorization and believe it or she then told me they don't have staff to cover & was rerouting my authorization back to my pro. All these purr fits are so unprofessional unbelievable. Not even my dr will reach out to to assist.
