We were in the lobby for 4 hours before being seen by a doctor. I'm assuming they are under staffed. There was a girl who was deathly ill and sobbing in the lobby. I don't think anyone checked on her or spoke to her despite her cries. I separated my shoulder. The first time they called me was to get my blood pressure and general info, so I was invited inside the clinical area. While I was sitting there, some dude was walking around. I don't remember exactly what he was wearing, but I don't think he was in scrubs. He was telling me he thinks my shoulder is broken and that it's gonna be a lengthy recovery. Not something anyone would want to hear. I questioned his credibility and asked him really? He said we can "bet money on it"... It was really unprofessional. He wanted to prove some weird point that he's confident that he can guess my diagnosis. Later the doctor came with the X-Ray results and it ended up just being a separation. And no broken bones (thanks weird unprofessional dude for the awkward interaction and trying to convince me that I had a broken bone). The clinical staff was great. The doctor was caring and answered my questions. I was also helped by a male nurse, he was good too and hardworking. If only the wait time wasn't so long, but I understand the clinical staff did their best. Either they are understaffed or lots of people had incidents that day, hence the long wait time.

Babetta was referred to me by a friend as a postpartum doula. I had mastitis shortly after having…read moremy baby, and I was extremely fatigued and had a high fever. I decided to ask her for help, and it was the best decision I could've made. I did not spend a lot of time around babies before having one, and so I think that newborn phase was extra stressful for me. She made me feel comfortable and relaxed, and took care of my baby so I could rest and recover. Not only that, she educated me on ways to help encourage my baby's development. She was able to entertain my extremely active newborn and take care of her with ease. I recommend hiring a postpartum doula in general, but especially Babetta!!

After having steady contractions since 6am, I started having serious contractions around dinner time at my apartment. I called her to say it miiiiight be time, but I was skeptical if this was the real moment or not. She showed up with all of her doula gear and overnight bag right away! She set up her diffuser, and helped my partner squeeze my hips to help alleviate the pain. I sat in the bathtub and she distracted me so I'd chill out a bit. The biggest thing is she helped me keep my cool during some major back labor craziness. A funny moment that I'll never forget - I asked her if I could take a sleeping pill or melatonin or something so I could sleep a bit through this crazy early labor. She says "I think you're having a baby sooner than you think..." I was thinking, seriously? We ended up going to the hospital less than an hour later. Good thing I wasn't zonked out LOL! Anyways, Babetta stayed by my side from early labor until after the baby was born! She offered comfort and relaxation, reminded me to breathe, advocated for me to the doctors, and helped my mom and partner with whatever they needed. I'd recommend her to anyone in a heartbeat!
