I must've contacted 10 irrigation companies & only heard back from a few. Everist was very responsive & had an opening sooner than any other outfit in town. We were told by a different company that we had a very expensive repair that was needed. Jerry (the owner) tried to duplicate the issue & couldn't. He figured out when this other co turned on our sprinklers that they overextended the valve thus causing that co. to believe it was leaking/out of sorts. Jerry explained it far better than that but the point is that he saved us probably at least a grand by verifying that there wasn't really an issue. He then quickly fixed 6-7 sprinkler heads (that were clearly busted) when the other co had previously told us we only had 3 broken heads. And Everist did all of this for a very reasonable rate. Just purchased a home with an irrigation system, previous owners left us without instructions on where and how many zones, as well as how the system worked. Contacted Everist and setup annual maintenance. Contacted them on Friday before holiday weekend, they arrived on Wednesday after the holiday weekend! I can't say anything about the service because I haven't gotten past getting a bid. On 6/30 they came out to do a bid and it's been seven weeks and still no bid sent. I've called three times (talked to a person twice, VM once) and the two times I talked to a person (at three weeks post visit and five weeks post visit) she was really very sweet and told me she'd connect with the person that came out for a bid to see where we were at... still nothing. I'm very frustrated that I took time out of my day to meet him and explain our needs (converting the front and back irrigation to drip) and then just be ghosted like this. If they didn't want the job at the time they could have just told me rather than have me hold out hope for two months. read more

I've used Everist two to date. First to do a thorough check and tune-up of the sprinkler system in the house we just bought and second to winterize the system. Both times, they were efficient and professional. The tune-up caught some issues that would have become bigger problems over time and they fixed them on the spot. I have Everist complete annual maintenance/checks and also had them transition a spray zone to drip. Work has been pretty good, but I'm knocking off a star because the communication could be better. Communication about a repair/testing was unclear as to whether it was actually completed and the email communications need work. Emails are sent in duplicate, sent to the wrong lists, or are unclear which can create confusion. Some attention to a CRM system would likely solve most of these issues. We moved up here in 2011. We had never had a sprinkler system before and our house had one that had been neglected. A neighbor recommended someone he knew in the business who came out and got the water running. He tried to charge $600 for about 3 hours of work and a $20 part. I complained and the price was lowered. Now we had water going to the system but there were several broken heads and the setup needed fine tuning. I called around calling pretty much everyone I could find listed anywhere. After being burned I weeded out all of the ones that wanted money up front for an estimate and had a few people come out to give it a look. I got a lot of we're probably going to need to replace a lot of this plus what I thought was probably mumbo jumbo. Jerry Everist was the last one to come. He was just starting up then but it was obvious that he knew his stuff and seemed like an honest guy. We went with him and have been with him ever since. Most service people will try to sell you on their services and that's fine. Jerry is a bit different. When we discovered a cracked pipe doing the winter blow out rather than replacing the pipe himself he told me how to do it. He said that it doesn't require a specialist to make most repairs and that what I should do is attempt the fix myself and if it didn't work call him back. I really appreciated that. I was able to make the fix and since then have made several other fixes and adjustments to the system. Over the winter one of our big pine trees came crashing down avoiding the house and shop but landing on one of the sprinkler control boxes. I found out that the main water line was broken so I couldn't turn the water on until it was fixed. Not wanting to deal with pipes/electronic/ valves/etc I called Jerry. His business has grown over the years and one of his employees came to do the job. I was right about calling as several pipes were damaged and the amount of work needed to fix it was more than I could have done easily. Jerry's business has grown and it's not like he can come out later this afternoon for the most part but if you need a sprinkler guy in this part of the world there are none better. read more

Great service! We called Everist Irrigation to get an estimate on fixing our sprinkler system. Jerry responded to our request right away, showed when he said he would and made a prompt, accurate assessment of what needed to get fixed. When he later came out to do the work everything was as he had estimated and he even finished faster than originally projected. My lawn service usually turns on the irrigation system in the Spring. Since they need to start many systems, the spend little time adjusting the system. Everist spent the time adjusting the system and replacing nozzles. This is the first time that anyone has given the system a serious analysis. I will certainly call them again. Also, they are the only service that I have found that has a web page and actually contacts you by e-mail. High tech has finally come to a service provider. read more

Jerry's done a great job with our irrigation system. When we moved here, we had very little water pressure. Jerry checked the whole system out, but then honestly said there was nothing he could do until we had better water pressure. Now that we've installed a booster pump, Jerry's been back out and changed out several parts for our sprinkler system, making it a lot more efficient and environmentally friendly.
