What I thought would be a short stay at the hospital turned out to be a three week stay. I would ask for a few days extension only to have to come back and ask for another extension. This happened at least four times and each time the staff was gracious and extended my stay. I would like to give a special mention to Adrianna, who helped me on several occasions with the extensions, etc. Adrianna was kind and sympathetic when I shared my difficult experience of having my father in the hospital. She always had kind words and made me feel like she truly cared. Residence Inn is blessed to have someone like her working for them, and I would definitely come back to Residence Inn Loma Linda just because of her kindness and understanding.

I only wish there was a better drainage system so that the shower water would not leak through the shower door onto the bathroom floor. The sofa pullout bed has seen better days and is the type of situation where the middle dips so our son had a rough couple of nights. The small kitchen and dining area was cute and served us well for the ~three days we were there. We would serve ourselves from the breakfast buffet downstairs (that's included in the price of the room) and bring our food to eat in the comfort of our suite's dining room. Each morning they offered a continental breakfast with a few hot items like egg and cheese omelettes, sausage or bacon, hash browns one morning and biscuits and gravy the next morning. They had two waffle makers and their waffles were actually really good. There were a lot of families staying there this past weekend. There were a lot of guests that were there for the graduation ceremonies happening throughout the weekend at Loma Linda University. But either all the guests were fairly quiet and sedate or the hotel walls were nice and thick. The other advantage of this hotel is the proximity to Downtown Redlands, Loma Linda, and many shops and restaurants just a short drive away. The restaurants and shops of the Mountain Grove area are just a short walk from the hotel. And the hotel is sandwiched between a Krispy Kreme and a Dutch Bros. On our last morning before checking out I walked to the Dutch Bros. to try their coffee for the first time. It was pretty good but to be honest, the coffee I put together the prior morning from the hotel's coffee carafe mixed with a Swiss Miss hot cocoa packet they offer at their coffee station with a little half and half and a little bit of sugar was stronger and better tasting than the Dutch Bros. coffee, just saying.

I appreciated the classical music playing outside and the place gave an inviting vibe with the plants throughout. The sound does permeate through the walls so if there was a loud truck or just a loud person next door, you could hear it. The dumpster truck came in the morning so that was my wakeup call. You can get a complimentary breakfast between 530am to 9am. Ideal spot to stay at and at a great price. I'd stay again. Probably would take bug spray as they had quite a few that flew in with you when you open the door.

Everyone we interacted with was friendly, and the location was great too -- close to the Packing District, easy freeway access, and a quick Uber to the nearby casino. We did run into a billing mix-up related to Expedia, but a staff member named Ariana helped sort it out and made sure it was resolved. Really appreciated her help. One small note: our coffee maker didn't have sugar or creamer, but the front lobby had us covered, so no big deal. My only real critique isn't specific to this hotel -- it's more of a hospitality industry thing. Checkout was at 12pm and check-in at 3pm, which means guests never actually get a full 24 hours even though that's essentially what you're paying for. I'd love to see hotels move toward at least a 24-hour stay window, even if that just means pushing checkout to 1pm. What is very nice about this hotel is it is very close to the Yaamva Casino. All the employees were very nice , professional ,polite considerate and very helpful. The swimming pool is excellent to swim a few laps and good excercise. The housekeeping team is very great good and wonderful. The price was wonderful. All the employees are very nice and very polite. You have to go to front office just to get ice cubes. There is no washing machine or dryers for paying customers. There is no full time security watching cars and the property 24 hours a day. Sadly people not even staying here park on the hotel parking property. You must be careful if you are a lady sitting alone on the table in front of the office. If it was'nt for a cat I was trying to pet, I would never have seen the guy trying to sneak up behind me. Than his partner walked by. Why ? Because there are no security cameras on the out side of this property. No accountability means if you become a victim of a crime the criminal will get away with his or her crimes. When we were here , Pete Flores was the Manager. He has a bad habit of slapping a paying customer on the back and running to hide in the office. This is a crime. P.C. 240 & if he does physical harm its a P.C. 242. That's why Manager Pete Flores has never put in a work order for out side cameras every where. The Assistant Manager is worthless and a empty suit. She is lazy and makes excuses as to why all the employees working the front desk do not have name tags. If you go to other hotels the front desk employees all have name tags with their first and last name. There was a front desk employee that said his name was Randy Mumba. One of his male co workers later informed us , Randy was lying about his last name. His name was Randy Recon. Randy was able to lie about his last name because Manager Pete Flores allowed him to lie. There is no posted signs in front of this hotel that prohibit people from smoking in front of the hotel. This causes second hand smoke for you and your children. The Manager Pete Flores allows the boyfriend of room #7 to do what ever he wants. We saw the boyfriend flip off a very nice and polite customer. The boyfriend of room # 7 was also leaving abandon cars on the customer parking. At night , we noticed the boyfriend of room #7 lift the car hood and meet with other subjects. My room mate thinks drug dealing was going on. Yet, this was because Manager Pete Flores did not put in out side cameras. We also saw the boyfriend of room # 7 attempt to run over a nice paying customer. Cecilia was the Assistant Manager . She condoned of all the misbehavior of room # 7. According to the Assidstant Manager Cecilia, room # 7 was special. We saw the boyfriend of room #7 throwing cigarette butts all over the parking lot. The Manager Pete Flores turned a blind eye. Even though there are other paying customers that stay here with chronic respiratory problems ,breathing . Then we noticed the boyfriend of room # 7 leaving a car on jacks. A innocent child could have went under that car playing with her brother or sister. Then the car could have fallen on that child. The boyfriend of room #7 was allowed to change car brakes and rims on his car. Leave these items scattered all over the parking lot. Manager Pete Flores would just turn a blind eye. The Assistant Manager Cecilia also condoned of this disgusting misbehavior, of room # 7 . The internet is also very weak. The expert on the internet just sits with Randy Recon , and they just sit in the front office and talk about nothing. Sadly most all the people that stay here are sent by the Loma Linda University Medical Center. They sadly do not know about the very bad living conditions while staying here. We sadly have noticed lots of bad reviews about this very disgusting hotel. Yet, even with out a built in pool , no customer washing machines, or no ice cube machines on each floor, no signs posted that say, customer only parking , this disgusting motel is still in business. We had to get up in the middle of the night to plug in the swamp cooler because the knob didn't work and the room was hot. Also, thankfully there were no bedbugs! This is a brand new hotel that is right off the highway and in a plaza with several other hotels…read more It is gorgeous, clean, and modern. There is daily parking you will need to add onto your stay once you arrive and put a parking pass in your car window. Three out of Five of my coworkers had trouble with their business cards upon check-in, resulting in them needing to use their personal cards. At first glance, the rooms are nice and modern. However, they are very impractical. The kitchenette has some complicated drawers to be able to reach the microwave and the mini fridge was not consistent. By the end of my stay, some soda cans were frozen and exploding. There is not a dresser, you get two small drawers that roll under the desk. The TV is to the far side of the bed, but thankfully it can be taken off the wall and turned. The bathroom shower does not have a full door. Lots of water escaped outside of the shower due to me having long hair and I cannot see it being sustainable with that kind of moisture over time. My biggest harp - MOTION SENSOR LIGHTS IN THE BATHROOM. When you are showering, the lights turn off every 5 minutes. I had to wave my arm or get out of the shower and move so I didn't shower in the dark... The breakfast is not buffet style, but sit down restaurant style. I did not have time in the mornings before work to try the breakfast. The laundry you need to download an app to operate, it does not accept quarters. It was nice to be notified when laundry was almost done. The gym looked nice, but I did not try it during my stay. One of the elevators was down for maintenance for several days and once repaired, I used it and it did open and close several times to where I had to run out of it in fear of getting stuck. The staff were always friendly and accommodating. Overnight, they sit in the back room and watch the cameras instead of being at the desk so be patient and they'll assist you. I know this is getting long, but Target is nearby and at night there was some food trucks & stands that were busy I recommend checking out. I might try one of the other nearby hotels for my next work stay. I do see the vision and potential, but there was some design mistakes with this hotel and it isn't ideal for more than a night or two. I hope to see some improvements and give this hotel another try someday!
