Such a spacious room

It's the @light_skin_dragon. Blasting with a chill stay at the courtyard by Marriott. I gave it a 4 star because you need your key to get in the lobby and it is a very cold night. If Jason or Micheal Myers were trying to get me I would have died. But back to the review lol. There is parking in front of the hotel but get there early so that you can park close by. By the way there are 4 hotels in the same structure. So don't forget where you parked. As soon as I got in the receptionist was nice and explained to me that my company paid for my parking which is 14 bucks a night. So make sure you leave the paper in front of your dashboard if not you could possibly get it towed away. Breakfast is from 6am-9am which is nice but I won't be attending because I have to start my morning early @5am and leave by 5:20am. Everything here is nice and spacious so I'll make sure to take pics and leave my presence here. So now it's the light_skin_dragon blasting off in the next four days looking for somewhere else to lay my head at hahaha

Bat and tables - empty. But if you try to eat something of your own- look out.

The breakfast was the standard fare for their complimentary offerings. No surprises one way or the other. They gym wasn't bad. It's a bit small, one of every kind of machine. Some free weights as well as a small area for mat work. The downside here was there were no towels or water in there. The workers were all friendly and cordial, no issues to speak of there. They even accommodated an early check in for me, as we arrived to town far in advance of regular check in time. I would definitely stay here again when we're back in town.

I created a Yelp account for the sole purpose of writing this one review…read more My family and I had the unfortunate reality of staying at this hotel, where we were greeted by a sign informing us that parking would cost an additional $14 per night. Writing that sentence nearly makes my blood boil, and I've had some time to process it. If management is reading this, that fee needs to be hidden in the room rate so your guests don't know about it. Paying for parking at a hotel you've already paid to stay at feels like highway robbery. However, after my stay, I realized that was par for the course. Finally getting over that and realizing I couldn't change hotels because I had prepaid, I reluctantly took my family up to our room. In one word: underwhelming. The worst part is that I was blissfully unaware of what was to come. Following our cold introduction, we encountered scarce room service and filthy rooms. Since housekeeping seemed to be few and far between, people would leave their trash in the hallways outside their doors or pile it up around the trash cans near the elevators. This was my version of the poop cruise. The hallways smelled terrible! That wasn't the worse part. While we were in our room we would take off our shoes to relax only later discovering that our feet started turning black from hidden filth in the carpets. Part of our routine throughout our stay was washing our children's feet before getting their shoes on or getting them into bed. Getting out of bed in the morning meant putting shoes on immediately just to avoid getting our feet dirty.. During our last night, while washing my children's feet before putting them into a bed with a torn-up comforter, I made a promise to myself that I would never stay at this hotel, or any other hotel carrying the same name, ever again. How could they improve? - Hide or better yet remove the parking fees. This is outrageous. - Regular housekeeping, daily. - Try cleaning the carpets and tile. Even once a year. - Maintain trash cans throughout hotel. They were always full.

Go next door to Hampton Inside the rooms are filthy!! the old carpet and old /thin filters on the window AC units keep it smellling SO bad we had to check out early. The staff is nice but the building should be condemned. We traveled from East coast to west coast. And we're not satisfied with the rooms not parking lot. When you first walk in it seems normal and has timed air fresheners so it smells almost pleasant. The night staff agent was nice and let us look at A FEW rooms after we paid and were NOT satisfied with any. 324,424,134 etc They all looked dingy and all had a smoke smellWEIRD because there is a no smoking sign at the front desk. (Seems like they let guests smoke and pocket the money) gross stains , peeling wallpaper, dirty carpet - EYUCK) We had to settle on one since we paid. FF we didn't get any sleep at night and was coughing/ wheezing because we're sensitive to smoke smell. We went down to the front desk and they said we could check out they would release the funds and Blah blah - that DIDNT WORK - so now all our travels funds are tied up at the bank. We asked for the manager and she never showed up that day. She's also the owner of the ran down building and the GM. (But how do you not see the condition of your property? I'll add pix) We called Hilton and Hilton honors and everyone had a different answer but they should all know and under whatever policy is in place. sadly THEY DONT HONOR OR RESPECT their paying guests. After calling bank and Hilton each at least 10x , spending 3hours on those calls, Monica and Tila brought us the receipts we had asked for- we needed that for the bank to see the funds were released.. we just kept calling until we got different employees to help. All in all don't stay here. And advocate for yourself. You paid your money, and they have a 100% guarantee sign posted. GO NEXT DOOR TO HOMEWOOD, if you staying at a Hilton

3 Stars -- A Difficult Experience, but a Manager Who Truly Tried to Make It Right…read more I'm updating my original review because I think it's important to recognize people who genuinely make an effort. Our family stayed at Home2 Suites Redlands to celebrate our daughter's national championship. Unfortunately, we encountered an overwhelming chemical smell in our room that caused headaches and burning in my husband's lungs. Another guest was reporting the same issue, and we ultimately called 911. What made an already stressful situation so much worse was Wendy at the front desk. We had two young children with us, and instead of showing concern, she rolled her eyes, offered us Febreze, suggested we sleep in the lobby, and told us, "Call whoever you want. I don't care." I still find her behavior completely unacceptable. She didn't need to know what was causing the smell. She just needed to care enough to help us find a solution. But I also want to recognize manager Shaun Patel. Shaun left his own children's school event to come to the hotel that evening. He has been kind and apologetic, and after Hilton corporate initially closed our complaint, he personally reached out and worked to get the remainder of our stay refunded. He has since confirmed that the refund was processed. I genuinely appreciate him going out of his way to try to make things right. And that's really what makes this whole experience so frustrating. If our concerns had been handled with the same kindness and professionalism Shaun has shown, I don't think we ever would have ended up in this situation. My husband missed our daughter's national championship ring ceremony, and we still don't know what caused the odor. Those things can't be undone. I hope the hotel uses this experience to put a clear process in place so employees know what to do when guests report a possible safety issue. No family should have to call 911 just to feel heard or find someone willing to help. I'm changing my rating to three stars because I appreciate Shaun's efforts. My concerns about the initial customer service and how these situations are handled remain, but I want to be fair to someone who has genuinely tried to make things right.

I was seriously impressed with how clean and well-kept the whole property was. Everyone we interacted with was friendly, and the location was great too -- close to the Packing District, easy freeway access, and a quick Uber to the nearby casino. We did run into a billing mix-up related to Expedia, but a staff member named Ariana helped sort it out and made sure it was resolved. Really appreciated her help. One small note: our coffee maker didn't have sugar or creamer, but the front lobby had us covered, so no big deal. My only real critique isn't specific to this hotel -- it's more of a hospitality industry thing. Checkout was at 12pm and check-in at 3pm, which means guests never actually get a full 24 hours even though that's essentially what you're paying for. I'd love to see hotels move toward at least a 24-hour stay window, even if that just means pushing checkout to 1pm. Overall though, this hotel is an excellent example of what a hotel brand should be, and I hope their other locations hold to the same standard. Highly recommend.

We were assigned a room near elevator thank goodness. Don't let them put you in the room near the gate if your a light sleeper just going in an out to bring the kid and the handicapped equipment in I heard it slam 3 times as it doesn't have a slow closer thingy on it (I believe those rooms were either the 14s or 16s) The hotel its self is cute they keep it maintained. I didn't see trash or bugs on premises. Parking is kinda tight since there are at least 3 neighboring hotels on this strip, plus a car rental there at hotel (convenient sorry guys I don't check to see if they offered cars with a airport tax there) but it does look like they offer a airport shuttle to John Wayne. They have a noon check out which I loved since I had one of my little ones with me and we had enough time to go play in pool after breakfast and still check out very close to the proper check out time. This is a budget hotel so don't look for all the amenities the offer shampoo that's it. I don't even remember if there was hand soap. The towels are tiny including the pool ones. I only had one full set in room and a second bath towel so that sucked a bit. The AC was kinda loud not overly loud just enough to make me the light sleep toss for a few before I could push the noise out. As close to freeway and a ton of construction as it was it was pretty quiet. The breakfast included pancakes, powdered eggs and sausage links, they also had 3 cereals: corn flakes, Raisin Bran and Fruit loops along with coffee, tea, apple and orange juices. Again my little one loved it she thought the place was awesome, but I kinda believe that was because she had her own tv in the living area on her double sized bed? And she got to watch cartoons during the week! They had a pool/ jacuzzi and unlimited juices and pannycakes as she calls them. I on the other hand know it was a great bargain, clean and pretty well maintained. I'll definitely use them again whenever she had an early morning appt!! So if you need an airport lay over don't over look this little spot! Yelp stars are based on the location, cost in relation to budget friendliness, NOT the level of hotel fanciness or star ratings for service levels as this would only be a 3 star rating at most.

I only wish there was a better drainage system so that the shower water would not leak through the shower door onto the bathroom floor. The sofa pullout bed has seen better days and is the type of situation where the middle dips so our son had a rough couple of nights. The small kitchen and dining area was cute and served us well for the ~three days we were there. We would serve ourselves from the breakfast buffet downstairs (that's included in the price of the room) and bring our food to eat in the comfort of our suite's dining room. Each morning they offered a continental breakfast with a few hot items like egg and cheese omelettes, sausage or bacon, hash browns one morning and biscuits and gravy the next morning. They had two waffle makers and their waffles were actually really good. There were a lot of families staying there this past weekend. There were a lot of guests that were there for the graduation ceremonies happening throughout the weekend at Loma Linda University. But either all the guests were fairly quiet and sedate or the hotel walls were nice and thick. The other advantage of this hotel is the proximity to Downtown Redlands, Loma Linda, and many shops and restaurants just a short drive away. The restaurants and shops of the Mountain Grove area are just a short walk from the hotel. And the hotel is sandwiched between a Krispy Kreme and a Dutch Bros. On our last morning before checking out I walked to the Dutch Bros. to try their coffee for the first time. It was pretty good but to be honest, the coffee I put together the prior morning from the hotel's coffee carafe mixed with a Swiss Miss hot cocoa packet they offer at their coffee station with a little half and half and a little bit of sugar was stronger and better tasting than the Dutch Bros. coffee, just saying.
