The towels were mismatched in color and we think it used to be a Days Inn based on the decor that was in the room. The clock and microwave clocks weren't showing the correct time either, and we needed to call the front desk to have someone turn on the TV for us as it didn't have the correct remote. Shower curtains were Hilton - and towels were mismatched in color. I mean, there's nothing wrong with any of that - you just def feel it's a budget type hotel - you get what you pay for. Overall, for what it was, it got the job done.

Very Poor Experience, Not Worth the Stay…read more We arrived at the Hospitality Inn after 11 p.m. and found that our room wasn't even ready. Despite booking for three people and requesting two beds, the front desk said that wasn't available. After I insisted, they agreed to prepare a room with two beds but said it would take over 30 minutes. The staff even suggested I go buy coffee at IHOP while I waited. We were exhausted and just wanted to get to our room. When we finally got in, the room was clearly not properly cleaned. The toilet still had hair and stains on it, and one of the beds had makeup marks under the covers. It was obvious the sheets weren't changed. The front desk had promised us a late checkout at 1:30 p.m., but on the last day we were told we had to be out by 11:30 or be charged extra. Also, the room phone didn't work and smelled terrible, so I had to call from my cell. They did not charge the usual $100 deposit, which was one of the few positives. But even in the morning, there was no fresh coffee available, just empty pots and no staff around to ask. The hotel felt unsafe, with people loitering in the parking lot late at night. We even noticed people who seemed to be watching our room. I would not recommend staying here. It felt unclean, disorganized, and unsafe.

We did run into a billing mix-up related to Expedia, but a staff member named Ariana helped sort it out and made sure it was resolved. Really appreciated her help. One small note: our coffee maker didn't have sugar or creamer, but the front lobby had us covered, so no big deal. My only real critique isn't specific to this hotel -- it's more of a hospitality industry thing. Checkout was at 12pm and check-in at 3pm, which means guests never actually get a full 24 hours even though that's essentially what you're paying for. I'd love to see hotels move toward at least a 24-hour stay window, even if that just means pushing checkout to 1pm. Unfortunately, my most recent experience was disappointing, particularly my interactions with front desk employee Zaroush, who also identifies herself as "Z" sometimes when answering the phone. During our phone conversations, I found her tone and demeanor to be rude and unprofessional, to the point that I directly addressed my concerns with her. When I requested to speak with a manager, she initially stated that no manager was available and implied that she was the front desk manager handling my concerns. After further questioning, she clarified that she was actually the front desk lead. She assured me that John, the manager, would contact me regarding my experience. However, several days have passed, and I have yet to receive a call. This leaves me questioning whether my concerns were ever communicated to him as promised. As a returning guest who specifically chose this property because of a previous positive experience, I expected a higher standard of professionalism, transparency, and follow-through. Unfortunately, this experience was disappointing enough that I chose to book a different property for my next stay rather than return to this Marriott. It is unfortunate that one employee's conduct and the lack of management follow-up have overshadowed what had previously been an excellent impression of this property.

What I thought would be a short stay at the hospital turned out to be a three week stay. I would ask for a few days extension only to have to come back and ask for another extension. This happened at least four times and each time the staff was gracious and extended my stay. I would like to give a special mention to Adrianna, who helped me on several occasions with the extensions, etc. Adrianna was kind and sympathetic when I shared my difficult experience of having my father in the hospital. She always had kind words and made me feel like she truly cared. Residence Inn is blessed to have someone like her working for them, and I would definitely come back to Residence Inn Loma Linda just because of her kindness and understanding.

Each morning they offered a continental breakfast with a few hot items like egg and cheese omelettes, sausage or bacon, hash browns one morning and biscuits and gravy the next morning. They had two waffle makers and their waffles were actually really good. There were a lot of families staying there this past weekend. There were a lot of guests that were there for the graduation ceremonies happening throughout the weekend at Loma Linda University. But either all the guests were fairly quiet and sedate or the hotel walls were nice and thick. The other advantage of this hotel is the proximity to Downtown Redlands, Loma Linda, and many shops and restaurants just a short drive away. The restaurants and shops of the Mountain Grove area are just a short walk from the hotel. And the hotel is sandwiched between a Krispy Kreme and a Dutch Bros. On our last morning before checking out I walked to the Dutch Bros. to try their coffee for the first time. It was pretty good but to be honest, the coffee I put together the prior morning from the hotel's coffee carafe mixed with a Swiss Miss hot cocoa packet they offer at their coffee station with a little half and half and a little bit of sugar was stronger and better tasting than the Dutch Bros. coffee, just saying.

Usually buffet sausage is either super greasy or dry as the Sahara, but this was the perfect middle ground. Maybe it was the hotel vibes talking, but it was great and much better than I expected.
