This is one of our go to places when visiting the area. The rooms are spacious, clean and well maintained. The beds are cozy with plenty of charging ports within reach. Additional amenities include a common areas, pool, hot tub and gym. It is located in a commercial and we have never experienced any problems with noise or unruly activity. It is a six minute drive to the university and plenty of dining options.

My wife and son completely exhausted from the long drive. What a nice room to come into.

Traveling from Salem, Oregon to Tucson, Arizona, we stopped at this place after 16 hours of continuous driving. We were exhausted! I was expecting nothing more than an ordinary roadside motel, so not expecting much. I couldn't have been more wrong. The parking lot was more than full, but I did not see any trash, overflowing, trash cans, or anything that instantly turned me off. Check in process was straightforward, and the inside of the hotel looked great! As we made our way to our room, which was located on a side area, we had to enter through a gate in the back, near the pool. The pool area was lively, with kids, laughing and splashing, and having loads of fun. My immediate thought was, "I'm glad we are on the other side of the hotel, away from the noise." my second thought was, "I pity the poor people that have to clean up after all of these kids." The next morning, as we made our way to the front to enjoy a complementary breakfast, we passed by the pool. I was absolutely astounded at how clean the area looked, as well as the crystal clear water. Some kind of magic happened overnight. I also noticed several housekeeping carts scattered throughout the premises, housekeeping busy at work, turning over the rooms. The complimentary breakfast... Absolutely amazing! A "home-cooked "breakfast consisting of eggs, meat, potatoes, and various bread, juices,, coffee, etc. And again, the breakfast area was neat and orderly. What an incredible experience. Not at all what I expected. I had asked to speak with a manager, but was told none were on site. Not even a supervisor. I wasn't disappointed, I was surprised. This reinforced what a great team looks like. They do what they are expected to do, and they do it to the best of their ability, without any management oversight. Congratulations to all of you! You have set the bar high.

    Eating breakfast outside. So calming.

The hotel is beautiful. The staff was exceptional. The bed was comfortable. The breakfast was great and satisfying. The breakfast burritos are the ones i really liked. We had such an awesome stay.

My room right next to the swimming pool. There was a dirty cup And some papers on my desk when I got in the room. Housekeeping was notified and they immediately took care of it. The bed was super comfortable, the TV was easy to work, the ceilings were high in some areas and there a nice sitting area. Parking was close, the breakfast was served hot and fresh also, with real eggs too. Right next to the El Burrito also! Ariana made check in easy and quick.

I was booked at this Ayres Hotel for a work-related conference at the neighboring University of Redlands. It doesn't look like much, as it is a bit more of a motel than a hotel, in that you park in front of your door and walk into your room. Check-in was easy and quick, and the staff was friendly. It is located about a 5 minute drive from Downtown Redlands and a 7 minute drive from University of Redlands, making it a prime location for various events. However, the area that the hotel is directly in, isn't the nicest and doesn't feel the safest. I usually go walking after long days of conferences, and this time, I decided to drive to a safer location for an evening stroll. Aside from the slightly shady location, I have nothing bad to say. The room was clean and relatively large for a 2 queen room. There was a large bathtub and small fridge. The air condition worked very well, as it gets really hot in Redlands. I didn't spend much time at the hotel, so did not check out the pool or the workout room. They mentioned that they have a "manager's social hour" from 5-6 each day. Though I did not attend due to other commitments, I stuck my head into the lobby area on my way out just to see what it was. Looked like they were serving free beer and wine to hotel guests. I saw a lot of people mingling and having a good time. The hotel serves a free breakfast every morning. The first morning, I was running behind so I just grabbed a couple of muffins and coffee. The next morning I had a full breakfast including a made-to-order omelette, potatoes, sausage and a bagel. The omelette was really excellent. The ingredients were fresh which tons of veggies, and the omelette was perfectly cooked. The omelette guy should open a breakfast restaurant. I would go. If you stay at this Ayres, do yourself a favor, and get an omelette. Anyway, all in all, I had a positive experience as this simple, but nice hotel.

Scrambled eggs, potatoes, grilled pepper, and sausage links! Even had hot sauce packets! Variety of juices available as well!

I recommend requesting the dark roast if you like your coffee strong, their dark roast is amazing! Tifanie was very helpful during check-in and check-out and was extremely friendly. Unfortunately, I do have a few complaints, which are a bigger deal for me since I had little ones with me. I requested an extra pillow and blankets for the room, but there was no staff available to bring them up, so I had to go down to the front desk to pick them up myself. Another time, when I was bathing my daughter, I noticed the conditioner was empty. I called and asked if they could refill it or bring a travel-size bottle, but again I was told I would need to come to the front desk to get it. This is the first hotel I've stayed at where I had to leave my room to get items that either weren't properly stocked or were simple requests. I also noticed one of the towels in the bathroom was dirty, and the floor near the bed was wet when we arrived. While the staff was friendly and the hotel had a nice vibe, the housekeeping team definitely needs some improvement.

Usually buffet sausage is either super greasy or dry as the Sahara, but this was the perfect middle ground. Maybe it was the hotel vibes talking, but it was great and much better than I expected. They have a lot of TV channels available here including HBO and Cinemax. I would say my only complaints are that the walls and floors here are pretty thin...especially the floors. Ask for the 3rd floor if you can. The hotel is a little pricey as well. They had a nice fresh, hot/cold breakfast selection in the mornings and the customer service was great. There's an AM/PM right outside with beer prices better then the local supermarkets. The hotel also has 24 hour snack store downstairs that is reasonably priced. If you're looking here you're probably wondering if Yaamava played a tricked on you?…read more I'm here to tell you they did. This isn't one of those pleasant jokes, like a gift card that says $10 and really has a $100 loaded on it. You've been pranked. Epic T.V. Show, hidden cameras, scripted level prank. Now to be fair it's not a bad place to stay. The rooms are well furnished the iPads are helpful, the gym is well equipped, they have pictures of the restaurant in the lobby, but I haven't eaten there so I won't comment on that. But that's not to say I don't think I should be given a credit to eat there. With my previous few experiences here I think a free dinner or breakfast is the LEAST they could do to make up for how I was treated. Let's start with the "courtesy call" I made the reservation through the Yaamava VIP host, they took my card info and made the reservation. I made it for the next day and told them I would be around because I had a funeral to attend to. That I would be by to check in after the funeral. So they called me... DURING THEN FUNERAL, that's not what I call a courtesy, it was inhumane. But the manager on duty Ms. Summer put the blame on Yaamava, so we both lamented Yaamava's unprofessionalism. The coup de grâce which really irks me is the deposit policy. Check in isn't until 4pm. Standard, no problem with that. But if you don't check in by 6pm they charge your credit card the full amount of the room. UNACCEPTABLE!!! You have two hours to check in or they charge you an outrageous price? Two hours? Get this if they charge you this ridiculous unexpected rate and your card doesn't go through, they give away your room. What kind of threat is that? Where does it make sense and in whose mind is this policy okay in? The general manager Jason called the next day and acted like this policy was completely normal. You can tell when you're talking to someone who has been trained to gaslight, It's not a normal policy it's crazy. In summary I like staying at Bear Springs, it's not Yaamava not anywhere even close to the same level of luxury but it's still cool. But I hate the deposit policy. The charge stays on your card for weeks. It's like an interest free loan they take EVERY time. It really sucks as far as unnecessary payments go, because they charge you another deposit on top of that when you arrive. It's an utter failure as far as policies go. So just be aware even though you got comped a stay you'll most likely be ripped off the entire amount for a good portion of time. Plus a deposit. Whoever came up with this policy should be scalped a square inch on both temples. Two days later and neither of the charges or deposits or whatever they called these cash grabs have been returned. Have fun coming here, be prepared for their failure of a completely unnecessary and superfluous policy to jack you for a few hundred. But hearing them bad mouth their partner Yaamava is slightly amusing. Overall verdict, this place seems like a strong maybe. Think carefully before staying.

This doubletree is adjacent to a few local restaurants, as well as, a neighboring drive-thru only Starbucks and few major fast-food chains. There is a U-driveway that makes it easy for dropoff and a side gated parking lot that guests can use. I really appreciate the level of safety they implement at night for their guests as they are key-card only entries. The staff is pretty attentive if you do not have a key which obviously occurs at late-night check-in (which indeed happened to moi). DoubleTree San Bernardino features a little market, convention rooms, a large bar/family restaurant for folks staying. For Hilton Gold members they offer a daily F&B credit which is nice. I really enjoyed the open seating throughout the lobby where you can work or simply hang out. The hotel rooms are pretty standard, nothing crazy yet nothing horrific. This made it impossible to relax or sleep, and I had no choice but to check out early. No guest should have to leave a hotel they paid for because the room is uninhabitable. This clearly shows it is an ongoing problem that management has not properly addressed. Although another room was offered, it was late at night and not reasonable to move, especially with my granddaughter. At that point, the damage to our stay was already done.
