Jerome is a really nice guy. I had contacted him to see if I could get some free wood chips as I heard arborists might offer this. Jerome was not only happy to do that but he tried to bring me an appropriate amount and wanted to give me higher quality chips. It took a while until he had some but for something he was just giving me for free this was super generous. If I need tree service in the future I'll call him. read more

Evergreen Tree Service - Jerome delivering wood chips to my house. - Tree Services Near Me

Wow! I am not sure a review is adequate enough for how Evergreen saved the day! I have a plot of land with a hill above my backyard and tons of Eucalyptus trees. I was concerned about overgrowth, potential fire hazards and even trees falling onto my house. I met with Jerome and he kindly walked me step by step through what most would consider a BIG job. In regard to cost, we addressed safety first and then waited to see if we could actually afford something a little fun using the wood in the same area. This was a multi-day job over 6 different days. I was impressed with Jerome and his team's professionalism, joy in their efforts and overall hard working attitude. I highly recommend! read more

Jerome came out to tackle a very VERY large problem for us: a sequoia dying from the top down. I am so impressed by his love for and expertise with trees. He had never seen anything like this, and did a lot of research before coming to top our tree. He went above and beyond, expertly revived the entire tree which had previously looked like a dying mess, dropped every piece of the tree carefully, and without damaging so much as a flower, and cleaned up so well that when my husband came home he wondered if any serious tree trimming had actually happened. He gave us tips on how to support the tree in recovery and was a pleasure to work with. I highly HIGHLY recommend hiring Jerome and his crew! They are wonderful humans who truly care about trees, will treat your home and property with care, and teach you a thing or two along the way. read more

Exceeded expectations! Jerome and crew were prompt, very fairly priced and friendly. Good people and great work - impressive to see them scale the huge trees. They trimmed an entire row of Eucalyptus trees (over 20 trunks) that were impeding a view. Our view is now amazing! This was done very quickly and most importantly done right. When done the grounds were pristine, couldn't even tell they did so much work. I'd recommend Evergreen and will definitely use their services again in the future. read more

Jerome and his team at Evergreen Tree Service took down a huge dead 80ft pine tree that was less than 3 feet from my house and less than 20 feet from my neighbors house. There were many huge branches hanging over both roofs. This tree was a monster - both tall and massive. After watching them take this colossal pine tree down I think they could handle any job. Jerome started work the business day after I got my emergency permit from the city. Watching Jerome and his team take this tree down was amazing. They are pros. Jerome was easy to work with and got the job done quickly. I will recommend Jerome to my friends and will use him again. Thanks for the hard work guys! read more

Jerome and his crew are the absolute best. A cherry tree in my garden fell during a bad windy day and Jerome's crew took off time from another large job to remove it within 48 hours. They also came back and felled 2 dead trees. Jerome knows his trees! Great cleanup, very courteous, and reasonable prices. Will have them back for additional work this year... read more

Wish I could show a before and after - our lovely old Cypress has been lovingly cared for and artistically shaped. Jerome quoted a VERY reasonable price and 3 expert tree guys worked all day long. They removed all the bad/past cuts and dangerous limbs, they shaped the tree BEAUTIFULLY and left everything in perfect order. What we did not expect is the light we now have. No longer the dark entrance, but a beautiful welcome to our home. They cleaned up so well and were so respectful that I would have them here every year - except that I think they did SUCH a good job that I won't have to attend to our dear tree for many years to come. They came when they said they would. They exceeded expectations beyond belief. They came highly recommended by my gardener and are well-respected in Pacifica. Jerome is an ARTISTE and our tree is HAPPY. read more

We had Jerome McCarthy and his crew remove three big trees from our property in Cedar Ridge. They were incredibly professional, efficient, and just plain good people. The job was intricate and not necessarily straight forward but these guys are Pros and handled it admirably. So if you are looking for "THE GUY" for any tree job call Jerome. read more

I hired Jerome last year to remove two HUGE pine trees and several euc's all of which were on an extremely steep hill. Jerome and his crew did an outstanding job and even did more than what we asked. We had Evergreen out for the 3rd time to get rid of a large dead pine and clean the dead branches out of another pine. They did a beautiful job, didn't crush my newly planted flowers and left the yard cleaner than they found it! read more

Use caution with this guy, he has an anger issue. He'll quote you a price and regardless if the job is finished or not he'll charge you the full price. If you disagree he'll crack and now you have an angry unpredictable person that you've invited onto your property so there's not a lot you can do. Problem with this type of service is they know where you live and every aspect of your property so you're not really sure what they'll do if they feel like retaliating. read more

My husband and I got several quotes to remove some eucalyptus trees in our yard blocking our ocean view. Several tree services wanted to clear cut and just leave the trees there with no clean up. After explaining to them we did not want clear cut because it looks awful (a few of our neighbors had clear cut and now it is all over grown and a mess...not to mention ugly and a fire hazard) they still wanted to clear cut. They wouldn't listen to what we wanted or could not see our vision. Then we met Jerome. He took his time examining the situation (not an easy one, huge hill) and wanted to do it the right way (to get permission from the city first) which we were all for. And he listened to what we wanted and added some ideas himself. Jerome has an amazing eye and knew exactly what trees to remove to give us our beautiful view. He also did the job in phases so it was more affordable. Nice! We still have 2 more phases to go but we have a gorgeous view in the meantime. We would highly recommend Jerome and his crew. Very knowledgeable, professional and they actually listen to what you want and do what's best for each situation. read more

Really nice and helpful guy. We had a cat stuck waaaay in a massive tree for 3 days, and he came and helped get her down. If anyone ever has this problem- the thing we learned is that you want to use an easy closing bag such as a drawstring laundry bag (best) or pillow case (works too). nothing the cat can fight inside, and nothing you need to zip up or close- they need to hang deep inside, like in a hammock. Anyway, you are probably reading this for his tree work- I'm sure he's great. He was very helpful and scaled that tree like nobody's business. Real nice guy, came on his day off twice to help us. read more

Jerome and his crew are awsome! They took care of 20+ years of tree/yard neglect in a day. Their hard work has made such a difference in the appearence of our house/yard - our neighbors are really happy too! I only wish I had had him do this years ago. Jerome is truly passionate about what he does- and cares about the trees and a job well done. read more

Jerome is awesome to work with, very easygoing, prompt and responsible. He is also very reasonable priced. I got a quote from him and then got one more quote from other tree services to make my decision. The other guy was almost $500 more than him! Jerome has great customer service and was not pushy at all.It was a pleasant experience working with him. read more

Jerome and his team removed three trees and two stumps from our front yard. The trees were entangled in the electrical wires and were either dead or a hazard to the home. They were very professional, very safe, and clearly versed in their art. They completed the work in one day. Jerome has given us advice on pruning other trees on the property and we will have him back to do that work! Highly recommended. read more
