I had the same issues and more at Lifespace Communities dba Abbey Delray North in Delray Beach, FL, an Unskilled Nursing Facility, where My Dad languished for 85 days. What he went through was horrible. We could have used a good Doctor like you there, but likely you would have ran into the same brick walls as you did at Solaris. As My Dad and His Family also did. I'm writing this because Lifespace Communities dba Abbey Delray North hires Select Rehabilitation, a contract therapy solutions company. The regional manager is Rachelle Breanne Sterling. Employed by Select Rehabilitation. I see she is or was at Solaris. She was very cordial and wanting to help the first time I spoke with her but nothing after I expressed issues. Natasha Gerlach is the Rehab Director over at Abbey Delray North also employed by Select Rehabilitation who knows about every issue. But the CONFLICT OF INTEREST between SELECT Rehabilitation and Lifespace Communities is just too HUGE. Rachelle and Natasha are afraid of losing their jobs if they speak up about all the issues going on at Abbey Delray North. One hand doesn't know what the other hand is doing because they are too fearful to speak up. I was told by a Lifespace administrator that with one phone call to Select Rehab they can get rid of one person or the entire Rehab Team. It's already happened. Is it the same at Solaris? Also like at Solaris, the attitude of most of the people over at Abbey Delray North when you have issues is HORRENDOUS. They will cover for each other and they will blame your Loved One for their issues. Absolutely Disgusting. Btw, Mark Raynor the Lifespace Communities administrator attempted to tell me the issues My Dad had was My Dad's fault. What a bum for even thinking that. Abbey Delray North is like a rudderless ship. With the attitude of Raynor and others who think their titles mean anything in the real world, sadly their underlings follow their overlords with their attitudes, work ethics and everything else. His arms are bruised and skin broken open and scabbed from rough handling. he has never had issues with incontinence but because the staff is lazy and afraid of liability problems they put him in a diaper and tell him to pee in it instead of respecting his dignity and helping him to the bathroom. in their care he has gone from being a normal human being to a shell of a person in just three weeks. we have done everything we can to find him a new place and finally ready to move him. so, my wife told them the day before that he was moving and the morning of with three hours of heads up to please get him ready. but when she shows up, they have done nothing. Even if you don't love your family do not bring them to this horror of a place. do not do it...

As mentioned by others, the call button is ignored. You could sit with loaded Depends for hours in your bed. Troubled patients walk in on your loved ones and frighten them until they scream for help. Call the nurses station and no one answers. You have to go down there all the time for them to address anything that should have been done regularly. I could go on but do yourself a favor and look elsewhere.

She was left to sit with soaking wet diapers for hours and hours. It took three plus days for the nurses to look at her bottom after she kept repeatedly telling them she was burning there. She got 2 bed sores, plus a uti and had external yeast infections under her breasts and in the creases by her thighs. The director of nursing is shameful: she is in charge of the nurses and CNA's. What happened to my Mom is a nightmare. She has been hospitalized multiple times now for these wounds. DO NOT SEND A LOVED ONE THERE BECAUSE THEY WILL BE NEGLECTED!!!

My mom decided to move to La Posada on June 1, 2023. This is an amazing place to live! Any…read morecommunity is only as good as its staff, services and amenities. The staff at LaPosada are exceptional! Kind, Welcoming, Helpful and knowledgeable. The services, activities, meals and quality of living is tremendous. My mother absolutely loves her apartment and she loves living there! She has made friends quickly and always has a friend (or new friend) to have dinner with each night. And we have joined her for dinner several times and the food is upscale and delicious! We especially like the cocktail hour each night in their bar area. I love that there are two restaurants to choose from and there are new specials every night. There are also plenty of fun, interesting shows, activities and exercise classes for her to participate in. She enjoys regular transportation to Publix, the mall, or a doctors appointment. In addition, the grounds and community center are so beautiful and peaceful. A special shout out to many of the wonderful staff members: First our initial contact Lonnie Ehmann who shared her time and talent and layed the foundation for our initial visits. Fabulous Kim Mancini, Yolanda, and Vivianna all made my mom's transition seamless and comfortable. Stephanie, Jennifer and all the wait staff at the Waterfront dining are so gracious and outstanding! The list goes on and on - I really can't say enough about all the staff at La Posada!! There is incredible comfort and peace-of-mind knowing that she is well cared for and that there are systems in place to check on her well being. My mother needed rehab after a broken hip and spending 7 days after surgery lying in a hospital bed…read moreNOT being given PT or OT. She is very stubborn and didn't want to do the required 3 hours of therapy/day. The therapists were unfailingly polite and professional, but would not take no for an answer. Despite herself, she progressed very well. I am sure that she improved more here than she would have anywhere else in this part of Florida. And the food is great, too! Case manager Tina was very helpful, and always kept me in the loop regarding the plan of action and her progress. My only complaint? They are a short-term rehab facility. Their average stay is 10-12 days. My mother has definitely improved, but she had basically no mobility when she arrived and will definitely need more therapy before she's ready to go back to her home by herself. So we are looking for another short term assisted living or skilled nursing facility so that she can make enough progress to go home. I really wish she could stay here for another 2 weeks with her excellent team, but they won't change their policy. I am sure that wherever she ends up won't be half as nice as Encompass!

I wish I can recall who told me about VIP care management, but I had to take a moment and tell you how they came to the rescue. From the very first phone call I made, I was completely reassured from the beginning that I was in good hands. And even today, I still feel like I am as I might have a question from time to time and I can always rely on this firm to guide me in the right direction. VIP care management was able to handle all that was required to get the Medicaid application process as painless as possible. They provided ample information as to what they needed, and I simply scanned and emailed everything to them and before I knew it, my Mom got accepted by Medicaid. They even referred me to an excellent edler care attorney that helped in the process of getting my mom eligible where I had thought it might not be possible. All of the staff were great, and especially Randi who I can say was like family when we spoke. Best thing I every did for my Mom and for myself! Do yourself a favor. Call them and see for yourself.
