The nurses in the prep room who prepared me for surgery as well as after my surgery (I wish I remembered their names) were outstanding. So you wonder why I only gave 4 stars. Well my surgery was originally scheduled for Mar 3. I was told that I would receive a call the day before as to what time to be there. When I heard nothing the day before, I called regarding this. I left a message and got a call from Krystalie saying that I called on Feb 19 saying my hand was better and cancelled the surgery. I would like to see the phone records and documentation from HSS showing that I called on that or any day to cancel. I NEVER cancelled the scheduled surgery for Mar 3. Further I went for my pre-op on Feb 19. If I was going to cancel or did, why would I have kept and gone to the appointment for Feb 19? Krystalie was adament that I did but I felt it was better to not burn my bridge here. The schedule was rescheduled for Mar 10. I made sure to document all and verify with Krystalie for the Mar 10 surgery which was done on that day using the patient portal. Now for the record, I did speak with Krystalie on February 4, regarding if there was a timing issue between my scheduled Feb 19 pre-op and the surgery originally scheduled for Mar 3. Krystalie said that there was no issue here.

I was skeptical being as I haven't had any luck with chiropractors or they tried to rip me off and break my bank. I consulted with multiple surgeons to discuss options, pricing, and expert advice. Each recommended a lift and full implant replacement and strongly discouraged me from deflating my saline implants, warning me it would be extremely painful. That guidance never felt right to me. I initially had my implants placed 12 years ago and had always wanted smaller. At 24, I didn't feel I had a voice or fully understood my options. I never felt comfortable in my own skin, and the "bigger is better" mindset wasn't aligned with what I truly wanted. Dr. Guilof was different. He gave me his time, patience, and complete honesty. He genuinely listened, never pressured me, and made sure I felt confident and comfortable with my decision. Patient safety was clearly his top priority. He fully deflated my implants, ensuring they were not left to empty inside my body, which demonstrated his integrity and care for his patients' health. Despite what others had warned, the deflation process was not painful at all. Dr. Guiloff numbed the area thoroughly and carefully drained the saline using a syringe. He then gave me the opportunity to live without implants for several weeks so I could decide whether I felt happy naturally or wanted replacement implants. That level of respect for patient autonomy is rare. In my case, the difference between saline and silicone implants was minimal due to my natural breast tissue. While other surgeons pushed expensive "gummy bear" implants, Dr. Guiloff was completely transparent and never tried to upsell me. He even corrected the pricing with his coordinator when the cost of saline implants decreased--proving how genuinely honest and ethical he is. Ultimately, I decided to remove my implants without replacement. I was nervous about not having anesthesia, and Dr. Guilof provided options to ensure I felt comfortable during the procedure. His care extended throughout the entire experience. Even the anesthesiologist, Brooke, went above and beyond--numbing my hand before placing my IV. The additional time, care, and compassion shown by Dr. Guilof and his entire team were truly exceptional. I cannot thank them enough. Dr. Guilof is not only an outstanding surgeon but also an incredible human being. I wouldn't recommend anyone go anywhere else.
