Both Doctors are really nice but my wife and I have been seeing Dr. Krefting our last few visits for our Invisilign and we just think she is so nice and friendly. My one gripe (and why i only gave 4 stars) would be the hours they are available. It seems like the dentists work at opposite times. If you need to see your dentist for a non scheduled appointment you might not be able to come in right away. I've chipped a crown on a Wednesday night and had to wait over the weekend to be seen.

Most notably, EVERY visit they try to UPSELL for new crown, veneer's or anything to increase their payout. After repeatedly refusing crown work she then advises me there is a slight crack in this old filling and it's bound to give me trouble later. THIS FILLING NEVER BOTHERD ME (+25 YEARS) AND WOULD HAVE BEEN FINE FOR MANY MORE YEARS. I guess I gave in to what I assumed was a dental concern but am now questioning her motives as it ALL SEEMS IT's BASED ON MONETARY GAIN and NOT the best interest of the patient. I advised her my dental coverage was to change before the next appointment and SHE ASSURRED ME NO WORK WOULD BE DONE WITHOUT INSURANCE VALIDATION BEFORE HAND. She assumed they covered ALL Tufts dental plans, but come to find out THEY DO NOT. So she proceeded with drilling out what I think was a perfectly good filling and replace it with new tech materials. That's when the fun began. Tufts refused payment of this filling because they're out of network. Now I am stuck with a $420 dental bill for a service I don't even think was needed. I called last week to discuss, and am still waiting (10 DAYS) for the office manager to FINALLY CALL ME BACK on this issue. I've been coming to Advanced Dental since early 2019 when another dentist I was seeing in Boston told me I needed a crown for a hairline fracture in one of my molars. The last dentist (who I won't name) assured me this was the only way to fix the problem and that although costly, it would solve a lot of headaches in the future. Looking over the details, procedure and cost of the suggested crown gave me a lot of feelings of discomfort and I knew I needed to shop around for a more family centric dentist who wasn't in the business for a fast buck. I did some intense research, followed up with people I knew who also went here and made the switch! Chris McGonigle is gentle, honest and most importantly - doesn't try to pull one over on patients. He helped me with my hairline fracture by taking out the old filling and putting in a new filling that covers the fracture. The staff, facility and dentist at Advanced Dental make my life easier. I went in today for my standard cleaning and I was again happily surprised by the comfort and ease of the office in the midst of a pandemic.
