Everett isn't know. For having many vet clinics it's mainly vet hospitals. I chose this one because of the review of the doctors alone and I was not disappointed. Everyone was very friendly and we had Dr. Raja see my cat for nail trimming, blood work and a urine sample. He was great with my cat who hates everyone. He was very upfront with what he wanted to do and was not afraid to tell me if I didn't need to spend money on something he thought wasn't necessary. It was a great visit and he took very good care of my cat. Also the pricing was very fair, nothing to high or crazy as expected when visiting an animal hospital. I highly recommend Dr. Raja and I'll definitely be back for any future vet needs. read more

Dr. Deepak Sharma, and his entire team took such wonderful care of George Michael yesterday! After receiving a pain shot and anti-inflammatory meds (we're waiting on blood results Monday), he went home and slept for hours and hours. Dr. Sharma is incredibly kind, patient, and compassionate--not just with animals, but with humans too. He's also thoughtful and transparent when it comes to the costs of procedures, always explaining clearly before moving forward. That kind of honesty is rare and deeply appreciated. George Michael loves visiting the office--the veterinary assistants absolutely shower him with love and affection. I felt completely safe and comfortable leaving him for observation, which speaks volumes. While we're still awaiting test results, Dr. Sharma was able to ease George Michael's discomfort and help us feel more at ease too. I have been going to Dr.Sharma since 2020, and I will never go to another vet as long as this one is open. I've had two cats and a dog receive care and every animal was treated with kindness and love. Have a question or concern? They are a phone call away and can usually get you seen the same day. The prices are affordable and the employees are knowledgeable. My mother, grandma, and roommate all go to this vet and absolutely love the front desk and vets! Well possibly if I would have brought my cat here she would have made it. Instead I took her to animal surgery and vaccination clinic and the antibiotic they gave her 4 days later she died. And once I let him know this because he didn't bother telling me number one what he gave her and number two what could possibly happen to her they know these side effects and for a veterinarian to withhold either to me is pure manslaughter I should say animal slaughter. The antibiotic that I'm talking about is called Covenia. Veterinarians need to stop using this poison cuz that's exactly what it is well all antibiotics are and so are vaccines. All holistic veterinarians will tell you this. Just putting in my two cents. read more

Dr Koenig is an amazing vet. I found him a little over two years ago when my family dog, Cisca, a 17 lb chihuahua mix went into a rapid health decline and I had to get her in to a vet immediately. The very day I found him I ended up needing to put her down. Dr Koenig and his staff were so empathetic, kind and compassionate to me as I was bawling my eyes out. That was a little over 2 years ago. I went back to Dr Koenig when I adopted my new puppy, ZoeyBean, at 8 weeks old. He is just as wonderful with her and actually fell in love with how little and cute she is. Present day Dr Koenig has retired and I haven't taken my dogs in to see any of the new Vetrinarians who bought his practice but I sure hope they are almost as wonderful as he is. WARNING*** Took my cat here 2 separate times with the same issue, granted the first time the cat was pretty normal. Although the second time there was something obviously off. All they did was feel his body and see if he flinched. Come to find out he has FIP, and it has become neurological. Made me feel dumb for bringing him in cause "cats are sometimes independent" after I told them he hides and stays away when it was an obvious behavior change. Other doctors from other vets have read the reports they gave us and were very upset with how they handled the situation. Now we are feeding him by syringe, giving him IV's, regulating his temp and checking every hour or so. Wish we could've caught it sooner. No help at all from this place, I'm sure it's a great place if your animal is VERY OBVIOUSLY ILL/HURT. Safe to assume these guys are inexperienced with niche illnesses. read more

This was my first vet, so I had no idea what a good vet looked like. Eventually their inability to respond to Emails, voice mails, or pick up the phone forced me to go elsewhere and the experience was night and day. When I called a different vet and had them actually pick up the phone I was floored. Even better they were able to see me within a weeks time where as with this vet if you want to be seen you must wait a minimum 2 weeks (longer for a weekend visit). This vet charges so much more than the alternatives. I feel like I was insane to ever accept the bills they handed me. There is little to no communication in the way of what things will cost. For example, on my pups first round of vaccinations I asked what the price would be, the person who took my animal said they would go and check. The next time they came out, it was with the bill. You cannot go inside with your pet. I understand Covid is an issue, but I have a mask and a vaccination card. This is my therapy dog and I hate the idea of handing her over to a stranger to be poked and prodded in a strange building where I'm not there to comfort her or even ensure she is being treated right. I have been going here for months and I don't even know what the vet looks like or if he's even actually seen my puppy. Dr. Sharma saved our miniature poodle's life when he was picked up by an eagle in Lake Forest Park. The eagle dropped him, but not before causing horrible ripping to his throat. The 1 star is by default, but if it were to count for something it would be for having an open schedule availability. By far the worst Vet office I've ever been to. They care next to nothing about the welfare of your pet. At least, this was the case with mine. 1st time coming here, my 11yo pug was feeling miserable with an ear infection that they prescribed medication for. Curbside drop off so he goes in without us. We initially asked the person picking him up that we wanted him to be checked out with a full "wellness exam". After returning him to us they get down to business itemizing the bill over the phone and continue with recommending dental surgery for a cracked tooth for $1200. Worried that my pug was suffering, we scheduled the procedure after we finished the medication for the ear and figured they'd check out the former problem. Which they didn't, or didn't really care. When we picked him up the 2nd time after surgery, same deal. He gets carried out by one of the nurses/receptionists and they start the billing procedure after talking to the vet over the phone. When we asked about his ear infection they brushed through it and said that there was still infection (Then why not prescribe more meds? Tell you why in a sec.) When we ask about a followup visit they denied it was necessary. 2 weeks pass and I feel like I'll have to put my dog down soon because he's worse than ever. Thinking it might be a problem with infection I try to call them to get a prescription for more antibiotics this morning. They open at 9am. Called at 9 and their phone system tells me I'm 1st in line to speak to a rep. 10min later the system terminates the call. I leave a msg, but call back and get someone on the line. I wasn't interested in seeing the Vet in 1~2weeks time, this was an emergency. The receptionist said that they do not take emergency visits, continue with curbside contact, and will not prescribe anything unless you schedule/pay the exam fee. The impression I get is that they do not care about preexisting conditions or overall wellness of your pet. I may or may not add more detail on this but for now I'm a bit overwhelmed and feel like I'm wasting my time anyway... Update as of 8/9/21 I had to let my best friend go today. He was with me through the hardest times of my life; and now I'm dealing with the hardest loss of my life, without him. I couldn't see him suffer and he was very fortunate to be at peace before he went surrounded by love. I couldn't bare to have to take him to another vet office he'd be scared or uncomfortable going to. So we opted for a home visit with Lapoflove.com. Dr Jason Laramore was exactly who we needed for my Pudge. It's a difficult time and I don't think there's anything left to say. read more

I'm writing this review too say that as a person with a fur baby that was in need of immediate help because of sickness that was so sudden.... I always look up reviews and with only 3 star reviews I was of course skeptical.... and I hope this can ease the mind of someone else who experienced something similar. My dog was sick and I had called to ask for my dog to be seen sooner then they had told me originally due to his severity. They brought him in and was so kind. Larissa took my dog blue for his initial check and was the one communicating with me all night and had absolutely nothing but compassion for my heart and for my baby blue. Things continued to occur and progressively got worse as the night went on that nobody could predict or have ever saw coming. They prepped my dog for surgery which was going to cost a lot..... at this point money wasn't the issue as long as my baby was saved Unfortunately he didn't make it once they began to prep him.... they never once money shamed me. They were open about all prices. They were very understanding and supportive of whatever rout I wanted to take. They answered all my questions with as much knowledge they knew and it was so re assuring. Dr, MODJESKI Had brought blue in for his final breaths with me and was on the floor with me with the compassion as if it was her own dog and her own family. She didn't have to do that but that was what I needed in the moment. She was commutative and just very kind. She sent me a card with a personal little note and it had me crying with sadness and thankful Thats in my baby's last moments he had people surrounding him that genuinely tried for him. I have used Dr. Koenig for over 20 years he retired and the veterinary field lost an incredibly kind, knowledgeable and genuine man. Now this place is ran by I'm not sure who. Twice we've seen Dr, Sharma, he has failed to see the obvious Issues with our little girl (dog). Yet last year a 30 minute exam, blood work was $275.00 yesterday the same exam was $388.00 plus a scrip for 5 pills was 40.00 which I did not get. Very concerned price gouging and not sure he really cares for the pets just the money. read more

I'll never take an animal there again. I've been there twice, and once was a lackluster visit with a vet they let go, who did nothing but suggest blue green algae for limping, the other was an outright disaster that left my animal limping worse than when I started out. The front staff, and gals that worked there were very nice. I called because I am new to the area, and someone recommended Dr. Koenig to me. The receptionist was kind, and got me in really quickly, so my husband and I took our cat in. My cat has some sort of injury, or something happening. He's old, and we were terrified of what might be going on with him. We got him in the car, and took him straight in. Everything was great with the staff, and the Dr. Koenig came in. Of course, my cat was not limping at that exact moment. Just like when you take a toddler in to the pediatrician. :) I tried to help with my cat, because he's huge, and can make noise like all hell when upset and not in my or my husbands hands. I tried to explain that, but Dr. Koenig told me to sit in a chair. I did. I assumed he knew what he was doing, and I trusted him to that. My cat gave a yowl. He does that more often than an actual meow on a normal day. Dr. Koenig backed off immediately, and told his assistant to go get the gloves and stuff. My cat has never had a problem with an exam before. By anyone. Hell, we have a picture of my cat with a full can of pepsi sitting on him because he's pretty easy going. The gal comes back with giant gardening gloves, a muzzle, two leashes, and they go back to my cat. The assistant looked hesitant during this, but the doc acted like my cat was some sort of five star disaster before he hardly began. I work with dementia patients, and if I don't know if it's the same for animals, but if I approached my patients so aggressively and brusquely, then they would have freaked. He manhandled my cat into a hood, then flipped him on the side, and tried to haul his foot out. My cat screamed, and howled. I've never heard him make noises like that before. They then wrapped my cat in a towel, and the doc kept trying to yank my cats foot straight. The doc got frustrated, and kept saying, "He's not going to let me examine him. There's nothing I can do." He was frustrated with the way it was going down. Meanwhile I am listening to my cat howl in pain. The doc gave him a cortisone shot. My cat howled again, and the doc said, "Oh, that didn't hurt him at all." I'm a nurse. Those shots hurt, if you've ever had them, you'll know what I'm talking about. He also assured me that there are absolutely no side effects to cortisone shots in cats. I don't know if that's true or not. My cat calmed as soon as they unwrapped him, and he was able to smell my husband and I. When we got him home, he was limping worse than he was when we started. We called back immediately, at 1500 to ask if that could be an effect of the cortisone shot. No call back. We called back at 5:40pm, they close at 6pm, and the gal on the phone said she chased the doc out the door, but he had gone. Now I have a cat, that's hurt. No diagnosis, no anything. I have to take him to another vet, now. I am scared this will have freaked him out so bad he'll never let another vet examine him easily again. I'll never go back. I got the impression the vet was pressed for time, and my cat got the brunt of it. I'm not beating myself up for even letting it happen. EDIT TO ADD: The vet called back the next afternoon. All calls were ignored until then. When told my cat was worse, he said that's not a big deal, and that's normal. We found out through other sources that my cat has an injured foot. The same foot Dr. Koenig had been hauling on to force my cat to straighten his leg. This is why my cat was more hurt after seeing the guy. It took days for my cat to stop limping. I've been recommended to go to Diamond vet, or Pilchuck animal hospital, since this incident. I sure won't ever take an animal back the Dr. Koenig again. read more

-1!!! My Experience! My dog nearly DIED due to Dr. Koenig's negligence. I took my Dachshund to him due to the dog being very lethargic. He was walking fine but just didn't move much. Dr K diagnosed him with back problems and never suggested the need for blood work. I told him he was still getting up and down stairs just fine but he just didn't seem himself. He put him on an anti inflammatory and told me to wait 2 weeks. After a week I called him to tell them his breath smelled like urine. When he called me back I asked him if it was a normal side effect from his medicine. In the most unusual phone call, from someone who seemed very nice the other times, he was super snappy & rude and said "no it's not" it's fine it's nothing just stay on the medicine for another week. I was thrown off by the attitude but said ok. That evening my husband simply googled urine smelling breath and first thing said kidney failure. I called my father in law, who's not a even vet, just a vet tech down in Seattle even knew this. He said to get him in right away. I raced my dog to an emergency hospital and they found he had LEPTOSPIROSIS! Very deadly! The sooner you catch it would be optimal. So after $6,000 and several weeks in the hospital he barely survived. So beware! read more

Dr. Koenig is the kind of vet every pet owner dreams of getting. He's very caring and compassionate. I have nothing but good things to say about this clinic. I have been to many vets in Las Vegas and three in Everett and this is the best clinic I've ever been to. The entire staff has been wonderful. Everyone I've come into contact with has been kind and caring. Taking your pet to the vet is never a good experience, but they show so much care toward me and my cat. I am low income at the moment, and I have never felt taken advantage of, quite the opposite. It feels Dr. Koenig has gone out of his way to do the sort of tests and procedures I can afford in my situation and makes sure to give me estimates, while still taking great care of my fur baby. I am so grateful to have found such a good vet that I trust; I will recommend this clinic to everyone I know and will always bring my pets here. The biggest reason I appreciate this office is that I didn't feel discriminated against because of my dog's breed. Whether it's the park or another vet, I have always struggled in public when people learn the breed of my dog. I was hesitant to tell Dr. Koenig what kind of dog I had because he could not tell by looking. I expected the typical shock response I get, but he and his staff were not concerned at all and loved her! She is extremely sweet and gets very excited which some people take the wrong way- like she's out of control. My parents have taken our family pets here since I was a child. Sadly, we had to take 2 of them here due to old age. I wasn't exactly "wowed" by the experiences, but this is a place I don't have to worry about being discriminated against with my dog which is rare, so I continue to go. read more

Went there b/c my elder pug has allergies and is difficult when it comes to her nails. We had our exam and everything went well until Dr K and his assistant clipped her nails. As I said she is difficult, the Dr's solution to steadying her was to close his hands around her neck and cut off her air supply. :( read more

It's really sad that this vet discourages people from coming in and asking for advice or help. I went in to buy flea medication for my animals I asked them if it would be safe to use dog on cat, as a very nice receptionist began to explain to me why it's not safe, Dr. Koening walked in right away becoming unbelievably rude to me. When I asked him to please be nice and that I came in for vet recommendation so my pet would be safe. he told me to leave. "Have a nice day" as I was mid sentence. I don't know if he was a rude because it's fun for him or if it's because I'm a woman. The receptionist did let me know he is commonly like this. If he can be that rude to my face how would he treat my dog when I'm not looking. You have to be careful with people who are easily aggravated. read more

Dr. Koenig is a horrible person. He treats the employees very poorly. He harasses and has put hands on multiple employees. He is very rude to new clients and lets things slide with consistent clients. When the issues have been brought to the new owners of the clinic she brushes it off and does not address the bullying, inappropriate behavior the dr puts on the employees. I would never recommend going to this clinic or even boarding your pets here. Pets are kept in very poor conditions and the roof is falling in in the boarding area. During a surgery a patient was bleeding out and he gave up searching where the patient was bleeding and the patient sadly did not make it. That pet did not deserve that and neither did its owners. read more

I don't think we'll be coming back. Giovanna at reception was great, but the good experience ended there. I took our 12 week old Weimaraner in for her second round of shots, and asked if Dr. Koenig could also take a look at her paw, as she'd started limping the day before, and my husband and I couldn't find any cuts, thorns, etc. in her paw that would explain it. I had to ask three times before he finally glanced at her paw for a couple seconds. He told me that most hunting dogs could keep running around like nothing's wrong with even a broken toe. That might be the case, but I would like to find out what's going on with my pup so that we can figure out if it needs to be treated. I then asked about vaccine titers, as we will probably need one. He said that a titer for just parvo would run us about $200. I later learned from asking other vet clinics that parvo and distemper are usually done in one titer, and it shouldn't cost more than $100 for both. Finally, his "exam" consisted of him briefly checking her teeth and ears, and nothing else. Overall, I felt that Dr. Koenig considered me a young and overly concerned first-time puppy owner, and was dismissive. To be fair, I'm in my early 20s (with a baby face to boot), and this is our first puppy, but both my husband and I grew up surrounded by dogs and were very involved in their care (which I told Dr. Koenig). I think we're both pretty reasonable when it comes to worries about our pup. Regardless, in my opinion a good vet should take all concerns seriously and do everything in their power to keep pets happy and healthy. read more

I wanted to find a new place close to home to try. I took my almost 13 year old dog for a checkup. He has had a crystal in his bladder and been on prescription diet. We saw doctor Koenig. But I had to call just now to ask who I saw- I was never introduced. Only first thing looked at weird. My dog has all his mostly shaved but his head has a Mohawk. I have some tattoos. He made some comments under his breath about the Mohawk and tattoos go together or something. I'm not here to be examined and I deserve every bit of respect as anyone else. It didn't stop there... I told him about crystal. He showed me some he took out of a dog which was nice, tried to explain a little. I made a comment like it is hard to know what to do talking to my last vet who told me the two options- surgery for over 1,000 that could be dangerous especially at his old age or to keep him on prescription diet and see how he does. He made a comment and said- who's bladder is it in? He continued the rest of the visit to talk to me like I'm too young and dumb to understand anything. Had no respectful tone for me and looked at me in a roll his eyes kind of way. I had other questions like if he possibly has worms because he will constantly hit his bowl for more food lately. He shrugged his shoulders and went back to the bladder and said- who knows but you have bigger problems. Yes I understand it is a bigger problem. I have put blood, sweat, and tears, money over his bladder. His prescription dog food and X-rays where not cheap. But since all that, he has been doing great. I'm not saying he's completely fine and better but that is why I took him for this checkup. I didn't really get any new help or info out of this guy I wanted/needed to know. Just talked down on and treated like a freak because of my looks I guess? Ladies at front desk and his assistant where very nice and LOVED his mohawk. No, I would never take my dog here again. Very upset with my visit and doctor Koenig. I am taking my dog to a different vet today for a REAL checkup and helpful info. read more

I ran my almost dead kitten into this office 11 years ago and I have been taking my baby Boo Bear there ever since. Doc Koenig and Jovahanna and Kirsten are the BEST! Doc Koenig wrote "Great Cat" on Boo's file. He is patient and kind. He gives his own shots and does things the techs usually take care of. Boo is a Maine Coon and he never gets scared when we go there for visits. I would NEVER take any animal of mine ANYWHERE else! Dr. Tom Koenig is great My mother and I took my boxer in for a scratch on his eye that has been bothering him. We are both in a tight spot and could not afford what a visit would normally cost. But Dr. Koenig said he'll see him anyway. So we paid what we could. Now my boys already feeling better. This is a WAY better experience then I had at the vca in silver lake they wear horrible and gave the feeling of we want your money. So thank so much to Dr.Koenig and the staff there. read more

When My dog Lloyd had a button ulcer on his chest Dr.Koenig took great care of him. The whole staff was great! When we took him home I had tons of questions and they were all answered on the phone and in our follow up visit. They worked with us on our schedule for dropping him off and picking him up and follow up care. We also took him in when he had a really bad UTI, they took him overnight to keep him free of pain and had him in surgery first thing in the morning. They remember us when we come in and the care is excellent. Plus it's affordable even with horrible pet insurance. We'll be sticking with Everett Veterinary Hospital for sure. read more
