This vet gave my pet Kingee that was stolen out of Providence hospital illegally after a minor car accident. by the charge nurse and the wa state patrol officer BART they took off his collar and his tags changed his name to cappy and vaccinated my puppy without my consent and did not check to see if he had his shots first they double vaccinated my pure bred pit bull and now the wa state patrol and the charge nurse are trying to make me pay for his vet bill he never needed in the first place my puppy was not injured and never apprehended by the animal control. That is where he would have gone if he had been injured first. I called and emailed the Everett animal shelter and the informed me if my pup was injured he would have been sent there first as they treat animals with emergency after hours.This vet office broke the law. I have a vet and she is in Arlington I would never bring my pup here. They are criminal and hurt my pup!! I found out 3 weeks later because I called down to Olympia the commercial vehicle office for wa state patrol and when my pup was returned he had this vets tag on that's how I knew the double vaccinated my pup illegally don't trust this vet with your pup! They are reasonably priced, professional and really care about their patients. I was banished from another vet in Marysville due to my pittie's dislike of the vet's office and her fear aggression but Broadway welcomed us without question and accommodates us with a muzzle and giving us the VIP treatment when they usher us immediately into a room. Dr. Jacob West is truly the best and the entire Staff are so welcoming and caring. I'm just so grateful that they were willing to take us on when we were left without vet care. read more

Unfortunately it was time for my family to put our senior cat down after a long happy life. Free parking can be found in the parking lot. Credit cards are accepted. Dr. Black and his team were sympathetic as well as empathetic. Once my daughter, our precious Pandora and myself were in the room, we didn't have to leave again. Credit card transactions were completed from the room. The cost to put my Pandora at peace was $180. Dr. Black was very thorough in his explanations throughout the entire process. My daughter and I were never once rushed in our goodbyes. We were told to take as long as needed. Pandora was treated with tenderness and dignity. My daughter and I requested Pandora's paw prints so that we can get tattooed. I received Pandora's paw prints in the mail within 48 hours. Thank you for following through with what you said you would do. Pandora's paw prints turned out great! Broadway Animal Hospital offers a back entrance to leave by in order to save our blubbering selves from the embarrassment of walking through the main lobby. They were great pre Covid. Best doctors left and now I have no trust in the one left. The office staff is great.

Where to even start. Honestly loved my vet (dr pitzer), but the staff's communication seriously leaves something to be desired. Voicemails not returned, no follow up after surgery or serious issues. Didn't tell me the correct information about a med I was putting my cat on and by doing so, could have caused a more serious health problem. Almost gave me flea meds for an adult cat to my kitten. Shoved paperwork at me. No one apologized to me after any of these errors were made. Also, how is this place an emergency vet when you can't even get an appointment for a week as a current client?? Even if it's an actual emergency! They just refer you to diamond where prices are 3x as much. Ridiculous. Since working with them, I've had my mother and good friend of mine pull their animals from your care to find other vets. 6 animals total you've lost because of these problems. This issue is not mine alone. None of us have felt like the health of our pets is priority. I've received estimates from other vets for the same things and now know that I was being completely ripped off and in terrible care no less. Just honestly absolutely despicable service. I will never step foot in this establishment again. And something tells me they won't even care. read more

You know I think it's pretty sad when you call and leave a voicemail, over the weekend trying to get your cat to be seen on Monday, they open at 8:00 in the morning it's now 9:34 a.m. and I've yet to receive a call back from them. This is the second time I've contacted them the first time was via email and I didn't get a response then either. Whether they can get my cat in or not is not the point it's taking the time to get back with me and let me know when they could have seen her. The location is perfect for my 17-year-old cat. We have just relocated from Hawaii to Everett, and I wanted to find a vet clinic that is close to where we are now to save a little hassle (old man doesn't like traveling much at this point). They are very patient with my "teenager," and take very good care of him during the visit. The visit itself was quite painless for both of us, and everyone is super nice. I think it is quite fairly priced as well (even though we didn't do anything major that day). I especially appreciate the fact that they take Care Credit. After being subjected to the perverted Dr. George who spent half the appointment for my cat telling me how beautiful I am!, I was given a prescription for my cat to have special food to help his frequent urination. When Chewy went to ship t he food they called broadway animal hospital and they denied refilling his prescription. When I asked if he could have his food since he will be sick without it and I would bring him for an exam later when I had the money, they said they would not help us. Today is a sad day. My dogs have been with Broadway Animal Hospital for ten/eleven years. Over the last few years things have gone from bad to worse at this clinic. Every time we go it's been a different vet, different staff resulting in zero continuity of care. One of my dogs has had a problem with one of her anal glands that every few years results in an abscess and or rupture. I called the clinic first thing Tuesday morning to let them know, they could not see her until Thursday so I asked for the vet to call and advise for pain management until we could be seen. I called three times over the two days, because my dog was in substantial pain, never got a response. After the vet saw her, I asked why I did not get a call addressing my concerns regarding pain management. He told me it's not leagal to prescribe pain meds without seeing the dog and I should have taken her to an emergency clinic. Still wondering why no one called me back to tell me that? He mostly just wanted to lecture me regarding her e collar being to small. She is a Whippet, tiny head, big neck so if I get the bigger size so it covers her long nose I can't get the neck tight enough to stay on. I tried to explain I have tried every witch way to get the bigger e collar to work...it just doesn't! Then he explains she doesn't seem to be in distress because she did not whine during the exam. Whippets are not vocal...she never whines or cries when she is hurt, but he was not interested in hearing anything I had to say. After all these years, suddenly no urgent care, poor communication, constant staff turnover to the point every time we walk in the door we are essentially a new patient and I have to ask them to review her history. Don't know what happened here, it's sad, my fur kids and I will be seeking the care they deserve elsewhere. read more

I was hoping to find a new vet closer than the previous one as our cat hates car rides. I am really disappointed with this place and the way they handled a few things. Our cat had a bladder infection according to her blood work results so we were given an antibiotic for her to take for 2 weeks. They failed to mention that it needed to be refrigerated so after the first week, my cat refused to take it, had strange behavior and stopped eating as much as she normally does. The medicine was making her sick because the directions to keep it refrigerated were underneath the top label (see picture below). I called to talk to the vet or someone at the front desk about it and whoever answered said she would leave a note for the doctor to call me back. We never got a call back! I took her to another vet and her infection was gone so the medicine worked but at the cost of her losing her appetite and if it hadn't, we would have had to start all over due to their lack of directions and communication. We were also told our cat had a thyroid issue and I was made to feel bad for not noticing the symptoms. I had 2 other vets look at her blood work and they both said her thyroid levels were normal. They also said her kidney levels were high and gave us samples of kidney food for her to try. They failed to mention that you should slowly incorporate the new food into the current food so our cat also had diarrhea for the first time on the floor on top of everything else. I've been bringing my dogs to Broadway Animal Hospital off and on for the past 15 years or so, but I won't bring them there anymore. Their slogan is "We Care," and it really used to seem that way. Something changed over time, though, maybe ownership, who knows. Now it seems that the only thing they care about is adding as many tests and procedures to the bill as is possible. I took one of my dogs there for a suspected UTI, which had been treated in the past had to leave her there for several hours. I received a call later that day and was told there needed to be over $800 worth of tests in order for them to proceed. When I asked what the tests were for, I was literally told, "I don't know what they're for, I'm just the receptionist." Soooo...you want me to approve over $800 for tests but you can't tell me what they're for or why they're needed? I'm just supposed to believe you? Which, maybe I would if there was some type of explanation given. But, nothing...crickets. I'm just the receptionist. This has happened before also when I had brought her in, but I had actually spoken to the Dr. who explained what was going on, and we mutually agreed upon a course of treatment at that time. So, here's a hint Broadway Animal Hospital, if you're going to ask for a large amount of money at least be prepared to be able to explain what the tests are needed for. You won't be explaining that to me though, as I've already found a new vet for my precious dogs. And if I were you, and you care about your pets, I'd consider finding a different vet also, one that cares about more than money. read more

We took are dogs Zoe and Maggie in for their follow up shots. Zoe had a reaction later that day. We called in and after some recommendations, we let her know we were bringing her in. It was after 6:00. They let us know they closed at 7:00. We took off, hit traffic. Called and said it may be right at 7:00. They said they shut their doors right at 7:00. Take her to the emergency 24 hour vet. The lack of caring, concern and empathy was shocking. We drove faster, got there at 6:45. They looked her over. She was fine. But I'll never trust them again with my pups or recommend them to others. If a business has that lack of care. I will not trust them with the lives of my fur kids. read more

I happen to randomly choose this vet when we got our cat and dog and I haven't found any reason to leave. They are very friendly, responsive and rarely ever try and up-sell me on anything, however they do always offer me a range of options for me to choose from. As we've only ever been in for check-ups and minor issues (kennel cough, ear infections, scrapes, etc), their prices are very reasonable, especially when you consider the level of care and detail they give to me and my animals. We had an issue with our dogs prescription that needed to be filled by a regular pharmacy. The pharmacy had issues and things got messed up. A staff member personally took the time to run to the pharmacy to straighten it out without us even asking. Last experience that I'll talk about: I brought my dog in to get his nails clipped and to get one of his yearly vaccinations. They take him in the back without me to do it real quick. As I was driving away, I got a call from them saying they had forgot to give him his shot. To me, that level of honesty pretty much spoke for itself. Our Nala loves the staff and Dr.Black! Everyone is so kind and helpful here! When we first got Nala, we weren't really sure how old she was and concerned she might have been too young since we had bought her off Craigslist. We were especially concerned that she was not wanting to eat. Needless to say, Dr.Black recommended wet puppy food and a couple different options to give Nala and she loved it! We paid $280 for the puppy package which included all the shots (and I recommend if you want to save money!) Nala is now 12 weeks old and we can't wait for her to continue to see Dr.Black and the rest of the staff! I so very much recommend Broadway Animal Hospital. In the past, my 11-year-old semi-feral cat, Isaiah, has had a very difficult time going to the vet. With the help of some gabapentin slipped into his breakfast, we made it to Broadway Animal Hospital where Dr. Black diagnosed my boy with diabetes. Twice daily insulin injections are a challenge, as even approaching him in the past causes him to retreat. Isaiah normally comes to me only when I am settled down on the sofa or bedroom. Somehow these wonderful people were able to help my boy remain calm enough for initial examination, a couple of days of hospitalization and then return follow-up without issue. Broadway Animal Hospital has walked me through cost estimates each time and helped me make the best choice without judgment. They even helped me figure out the ways to save money, both in my vet costs and in getting Isaiah his supplies. Over the last couple of weeks, Isaiah has also seen Dr. Baillie and Dr. Shingawa as well as some excellent vet techs and front end staff. I have had a lot of questions and have needed multiple follow-up training sessions to learn about treating Isaiah with insulin injections and lancings for glucometer blood testing. The staff has been encouraging and helpful with tips and training skills. Even the hard conversation that I feared was made so much easier by Dr. Shinagawa - what if my boy's quality of life becomes so stressed from daily invasive treatment, that though his body becomes healthy, his daily life becomes traumatic. We discussed this, made a plan based on benchmarks and timeframes that I feel very good about. I felt empowered to make the best choices for Isaiah and not judged or pressured. In my view, this hospital has treated my animal's whole health and not just the science of his body. I am just grateful for the excellent, compassionate, joyful care this facility has provided my boy. I definitely recommend them! read more

So twice already I'd decided to stop taking my puppy to the Broadway Animal Hospital, due to their ridiculous prices and lack of seeming like they care about my puppy, rather than money. Me and my husband don't have a lot of money and this puppy is our first pet so maybe we just don't know the real price of pets. IDK... My little princess got an allergy, either to grass or to something my husband sprayed on moss and she's not ok, like not even eating. What do you think it should cost????? When my husband dropped her off and then the actual veterinarian called to say they'd need to do a "full work-up" my husband and I joked, guessing about the price. Used to bring our dogs here regularly, but it seems like everytime we go to there now they just want to add line items to the bill. We're literally going to to charge us 275 dollar to "pluck hair from the ear" of our dog. A total grooming doesn't cost that much. Great vets and office staff. It's unfortunate that they sometimes fall short on the customer service side of things. They called this morning. Left no message. Tried returning their call to see what they needed. Also asked repeatedly on the messages, " is our schedules appointment today still on?" Called four times. No further communication. Arrived to our afternoon appointment to see a sign on the door saying the office was closed. Maybe next time some mention on their recording, revealing an office closure for that day may be helpful? I have a very fearful, 90lb husky x that I had to bring in due to an injury. He has to have trazadone prior to appointments but even then it's sometimes not enough. After having a horrific experience at Snohomish Station animal hospital, I brought him here. Although the vet still couldn't do an exam because he was too reactive, the vet was so understanding and helped me problem solve by prescribing a higher dose of anxiety meds to give him prior to coming in, as well as suggesting that we do some counter conditioning/desensitizing appointments in the future to get him more comfortable. I was very happy with my experience here and it makes me feel a whole ton better knowing I have a vet that is willing to help me. read more

I am a dog groomer and trim my dogs nails every 3-4 weeks, without my consent they gave him a "courtesy nail trim" and quicked him on almost every single nail (I think they missed making him bleed on 3 nails) the nails are also extremely jagged and look like the clippers were dull and just crushed his nails. He is in obvious pain and was terrified to even let me look at his feet. I will never bring another animal here. read more

My family and I had been coming here off and on for years. The staff are friendly, but they don't seem very experienced. The young lady that was suppose to wrap my dogs bleeding ear couldn't do it. At first she tried to send him home without any kind of bandage, even though he was dripping blood all over the floor, but I told her she couldn't leave him bleeding like that. I was surprised she would even consider that an option. Also, they seemed very unorganized. When I questioned them about an increase in the amount owed vs the amount agreed upon prior to treatment; the young lady got defensive and blamed me, saying that I misread the paper. I later noticed it was because they charged me extra after I insisted on the bandage. They charged 22.50 (I believe) for a piece of white tape that didn't stay put. I'll be taking my pets elsewhere from now on. read more

I like this place. The Doc is awsome with our dog. And you cant complain about a free shot with your visit. I only have one complaint. When we had to put down an old dog of ours, a family member really, we didnt have time to make an appointment for his euthanasia. The old dogs back end went and he was a sad sight. Since we couldnt make the appointment we couldnt stay after he got the meds for his final journey. We know he knew something was up, he howled and he did that rarely. Could you imagine haveing your last feeling be that of abandonment? It still bugs me. We did get a nice card from them. read more

I am in the military, and was driving cross country from Maryland to Washington in my husband's Kia Sportage w/ my 2 cats in the back. When we got to WA, my cats came down with a really bad case of diahhrea and were pooping ALL OVER the back of the car. (Thank goodness we had a tarp back there.) In any case, I could tell they were both getting really dehyrdated, so we were searching for a vet. Any vet we could find! We were passing through Everett, and saw Broadway Animal Hospital so we immediately stopped there. We brought the cats in, and told the front desk clerk that we didn't have an appointment but the cats really needed to be seen. No problem at all! They got us right in! The veteranarian was very nice, (although a little quirky) and fixed our cats right up. A couple months later, after we had moved in.. my cat Nacho came down with a really bad UTI. Took him back to the Broadway Animal Hospital and they kept him there for 3 days.. he had to be catheterized and put on antibiotics. When it was time to pick him up, we saw that they had given him a bath because he had gotten a bit of urine on his fur!! I was very impressed. The front desk staff is amazing, and I couldn't be happier with this place. They have been nothing but wonderful. I'm just glad I found this clinic by chance as soon as I got here! read more
