Really a great veterinarian office...very nice receptionists and skilled doctors. They really know animals. The ONLY thing I didn't like (and is probably typical of vets these days) is their DISAPPEARING with your pet to do this or that procedure, procedures that, in the old days, were done with you in the room. One wonders why they feel the need to go to another room to treat your pet. What ARE they doing? Strapping him down? Putting him in some kind of torture device?? (Said in jest...but the mind does wonder...and wander!) My two kitties are my kids now... and I cannot think of a time when I handed my child over to a nurse or doctor without insisting I stay with him. So, I don't like this new development in veterinary care. It sucks. As an aside, my vet here gave my cat another Convenia antibiotic injection. Puget Park did that about 7 weeks ago. A steady decline in service and care is pushing me away from this provider after 10+ years of vet care. The decline started during COVID- with necessary restrictions in place, visits were drop off only. Fine- 100% necessary visits only. But- that standard seems to still exist. Even in the same room, I feel like my vet does not give the remotest care to me or my pet. I have been talked down to, insulted after a $75 visit turned into a $300 visit, and insulted after procedures were not explained prior and done without my consent. I have seen a lot of comments about this practice being money-centric, and I can now confirm. Done and done, Puget Park. You have forgotten that you need to build a relationship with the human behind the pet. I am beyond disappointed and will now take my business elsewhere to a vet that strives to do better. Perhaps if you spent more time cultivating a positive practice and less time doing internet PR, fewer clients would leave your practice. read more

I wish I were here giving a glowing review of a wonderful experience with a vet but they're apparently too understaffed to read the contents of a contact us form and answer basic questions about their clinic rather than copy/pasting a uniform "give us a call" message in response to every query. Good luck getting anything scheduled and good luck to your pet recieving prescriptions/surgery from someone too burnt out to keep the place staffed. Oh, and they had a very screw you attitude when I explained to them why I would not be bringing a beloved pet to be operated on by people that apparently can't keep up with their workload. Edit: This is in response to the business owner's comment. I have since had to block her email address to get her to stop emailing me. I think her behavior speaks for itself. Well adjusted business owners do not respond to crticism by lashing out and writing rants. I really did have a cat die when I was 12 from anesthesia. I really did quietly part ways with another vet when his other clients let me know that he'd missed something and their pets died because I am anxious about losing another cat that way. I've attached the email exchange where I am supposedly insulting and threatening people. They gave me poor customer service, I try to let people know when that happens so that they have the opportunity to do some introspection and improve. That's why I review. I tried to express my concerns and explain why this was suddenly a hard "no" and rather than walking away or trying to change my mind she flipped out. The deposit should have been the first red flag. No other vet does this but they had an instantly hostile attitude towards me for criticising their business and explaining the impression they gave me to them. Note how rather than being professional about this they resorted to accusations and trying to undermine anything I have to say. I think the deposit is out of resentment towards clients and that it and their instantly hostile behavior towards the barest criticism is out of genuine mysanthropy. I just came back from a great annual checkup for my dog Zoë & just love the feeling I get after an appointment. They really care about my dog & give her the best care. I also feel like they're not super pushy to get certain tests for her unless it's really urgent or necessary. Thought this would be a great place given the reviews but unfortunately it was a waste of money and time. I left with an injured sick pup! I called in advance and explained that my pet had been burned by spilt tea, I explained there were signs of infection. I also explained what it looked like. I asked if they could help with something like this. They said yes! With that information I took the closest available appointment and rushed my pup in there. They took a look at it literally just looked at it and told me they were unable to help, because they would be closing the following week for a conference. They prescribed pain medication, and antibiotics. When I asked them care instructions for cleaning I was told they could not recommend anything. They handed me a bunch of pamphlets. $158 dollars later to be sent out the door with a bottle of pain meds and pamphlets! WTF! NEVER AGAIN! I wished if they knew they couldn't help me they would not have offered to or did not take my money that now I don't have for an ACTUAL VET visit. read more

My dogs Zeus and Winter absolutely love this place. My male dog Zeus always looks forward to his belly rubs and lots of female attention. Winter is a bit anxious dog and they do a great job of being patient with her, and understanding her being a bit antsy. Prior to COVID-19, I had great experiences with scheduling, doctors visit, and medication refills. Due to COVID-19 you have to stay in the car, so they take your doggy inside. They discuss treatment plans with you over the phone and are extremely professional. They have an online pharmacy which makes it easier to order your prescriptions that ship straight to your house. The only con I would say is they are always booked so make sure you call ahead of appointments. We have to moved to California so we will definitely miss the Doctors here! read more

Great vet, very friendly staff!!! I called for an appointment as a new client and they got me in within the next day for my pup with a UTI. They took my dog back to get her urine sample right away when I arrived since I was supposed to bring her in with a full bladder. The wait for the vet took about 15 minutes, wasn't terrible. We saw Dr. Johnson and she was fantastic. One of my favorite vets we have seen. She was very gentle with my Shiba whom was trembling in the office. She didn't rush my visit, answered all my questions and provided very useful suggestions, even taking time to show me what the products she recommended looks like. She wasn't pushy with making me get lots of tests and treatments. She made her recommendations and told me the pros and cons of each and let me choose. I love that about vets when they actually care about your fur baby rather than making money. She was superb, her vet tech was also very friendly and attentive to my concerns. I visited this place on a short notice because my dog developed a UTI while we are away from home. I am glad I came to this clinic. I highly recommend bringing your fur baby here! read more

I've been a customer for 6 years at Pudget Park for routine physicals and vaccines for my dog . Recently I had a emergency illness with my dog and was distressed and scared for him. He was vomiting all night and had severe intestinal distress . I called to see if Dr. Kate could call me ? or if I possibly needed to bring him in ? I just needed to know how to comfort him and what I should do. I was told by the receptionist to contact a Emergency Vet clinic for my dog that they had no appointments available for the day . I asked what good is it to have a veterinary who is won't be there during a emergency? This was early in the day during regular working hours because I wanted to speak to out regular vet Dr Kate . Then the business manager "Brittney " sent me a email telling me to find pet services elsewhere and that our doctor pet relationship was over and that this was considered harassment! Are you kidding me ? My review is if you are looking for a compassionate vet that is going to be there for you when you need them the most Pudget Park Vet is not it ! They will hang up on you and tell you you are no longer a customer, and good luck with your pet when you most need them . Then when you call back they will tell you are no longer a customer and hang up on you. I never did get to speak to Dr. Kate and would like to send Dr Kate and the other doctors there a message to check their front office staff on their lack of compassion & techniques. If you want a compassionate place to take your pet, this is the place where you need to go. My cat Rocky started acting strange on this last Sunday. Monday he started not eating and not being able to get around and I was very concernes for him. He was 14 and I only adopted him 10 months ago. I found out 6 months ago he had chronicnkidney disease. I called his normal vet I take him to, who diagnosed him with stage 3 kidney disease, and told them his symptoms (not eating, drooling, smells bad) and they told me if they take him for an urgent appointment it would be $114 and they also said it wouldn't be an actual appointment, I would have to sit and wait with my ill, elderly cat until a time between appointments that a vet could fit me in. I decided the stress of a waiting area in a vet for potentially hours was going to do more harm than good for Rocky. I decided to call Puget Park Vet just to see if there was a different vet that could fit him in. They got me in WITH an appointment time FOR THAT DAY and gave me a discounted first time visit price which I though was incredible. I got some tests done for Rocky but today I could tell he was nearing death. I called again, and again, incredibly they fit me in tonhave Rocky euthanized. They were so compassionate about the whole process, they were very supportive and I don't think Rocky and I could have gotten better care anywhere else. Puget Park Veterinary Clinic was recommended to me by a friend so when my new puppy came home it was our very first outing. His first checkup went great and we left with a happy puppy giving everyone kisses and a care package all set up. Our second visit was pretty rough. It was a Saturday appointment and we did not see a vet or get taken to a room. Instead a tech took our puppy in the back without us and administered his vaccines with no communication with us as to what was happening. I only realized what was happening when I heard him screaming. It was jarring and I admit I was very upset. Even worse she never discussed spacing out vaccinations or anti-inflammatories with us which would have been helpful considering he was only three pounds at the time. She only seemed interested in complaining about this being her last day to someone in the lobby. He came out completely shut down for the first time in his life and after a long nap at home he continued to scream in pain at the slightest touch all night. So as he cried I got more and more upset. Hearing your puppy screaming is the worst and I was MAD. I think I wanted to scream more than he did. There's no sugar-coating it. It was absolutely horrid. I called back on Monday and I'm glad that I did. Dr. Johnson returned my call. She was very kind and completely understanding. She spoke to me for quite a while and did her very best to soothe both of our fears. We made better vaccination and care plans that worked for us because we were able to talk it out. Since then we've been back for a variety of things: flea medication, more vaccines (which went just f, microchipping, neuter, upset tummy, etc. Every experience we've had at this clinic other than the one I detailed above has been excellent and everyone who works there is so nice. He still won't give out kisses at the vet anymore but it gets better every time we go. read more

My Muffin was having some stomach issues so I had googled vets in my area that would take payments so I could get her in to be seen sooner then later. This office came up as one that would accept a payment plan so I picked up my phone and made my appointment with them after asking if they took payments and being told "yes, we charge a $50 initial fee then work payments out from that point" and when I got to my appointment 3 days later was told they do not do payments but had at one point years ago! What a huge invonvience! I could have in the time waisted had my muffin in to be seen elsewhere having her problem resolved but now I am 3 days late in finding her a health resolve hopefully not causing her more health issues in the long run. read more

My husband and I had a very bad experience with the vet clinic (VCA Alderwood) we went to prior to coming to Puget Park Veterinary Clinic. Long story short, the first vet we visited drew our dog's blood without our consent. We were scarred from this experience and told Puget Park Veterinary Clinic about our bad experience. They made sure to inform me of everything they planned to do to our dog before proceeding and made our visit very pleasant. Dr. Johnson was very thorough, professional, and knowledgeable. She explained to me in detail what she was doing and her thought process in diagnosing and treating our dog. Our dog needed to get neutered and had very bad dental disease. He ended up requiring dental surgery along with his neuter and Dr. Johnson kept me informed throughout the entire process. The staff was also very friendly. The pricing is also a huge plus compared to other clinics that are way overpriced. Puget Park Veterinary Clinic did a great job taking care of our beloved dog and we cannot thank them enough. This vet charged us over $800 to see our dog three times for ear infections. ​We requested a refill on the ear medication given it was a reoccurring problem and they refused to offer (even if it was within 7-10 days). I have taken my cat to Puget Park for a few years and been very satisfied. However, as of late, I have seen a drop in overall service and just do not think it is the same. Nothing against the front Office folks. They continue to be pleasant and responsive. I see a decline in overall care for my pet from the Vets themselves. It is just not as stellar as it was. Not as interactive and that is not due to COVID. Overall the Clinic stopped doing nail trims and general services such as this so it really is inconvenient to have to go to two separate places for my cat. The recommended Spa around the corner from the Clinic was one of the worst experiences I have had so will not be going back there. Not to be negative but just think overall, the Clinic has lost focus on customer commitment. Not having a full service clinic anymore is not really desirable; about as desirable of looking for a new Vet. Unfortunately, I want a full service Vet. Not being able to take a cat in for a nail trim and have general health issues spotted by a trained person is what I consider a valuable service. Ashamed. read more

I will absolutely bring all my pets here. I previously used a different clinic in Seattle for my young dog (Fezzik). Eventually I moved to Everett but still made the trek to Seattle. Fast forward and I started fostering with a charity that provides homes to un-adoptable senior dogs which pays for all of their medical needs at no cost to me. This office is their closest location to me that they have an agreement with. Seriously, three blocks from my home. A wildly convenient coincidence, but a coincidence none the less. Anyways... I brought my 15-ish year old foster dog (Gladys) there for her initial visit to assess her condition. Over the next year and a half of her remaining life, this office was freaking incredible. Scheduling was easy with options to meet my availability. Every time Gladys came in they were incredibly patient and informative about describing my options for her. As it turned out, she had cancer. I was never pressured or rushed in making a decision. Even though I wasn't paying for anything, I NEVER got the impression they were suggesting anything but what was the best for Gladys. Soon after my first couple visits I started bringing Fezzik for his routine checkups and shots. I like little dogs. Add young into that equation and you have a spazzy dog. They are super good with my little guy. Sure, I've been in a little more often than the normal person. But they remember my dogs and I before I get to the counter. These people really are about what they do. Now...a couple weeks ago it came time to bring my time with Gladys to an end. Her health had deteriorated to a point where her quality of life had really decreased. I made the appointment I'd been regretting. This was the first pet I've ever put down. Their process and handling/interaction was incredibly respectful of Gladys and I. They were as gentle and loving of her as I could have been myself. I was given as much time with her as I needed in private. I'm kind of known as a cold SOB. This turned out to one of the hardest things I've had to do in my life. Puget Park Vet has managed to turn it into one of the better experiences of my life with their personal and professional touches. Every family and pet deserves the treatment they offer on a consistent basis. I have a routine visit scheduled for Fezzik soon and will proudly be bringing my next senior foster in when one is available. Very fair regular pricing for Fezzik. Great vet office! My cat had an abscess in July and this month, both times they were able to see her that day and gave her what she needed to get better! They are so friendly and really care about the pets, they are also considerate as they make sure you are ok with the prices before the procedures. I always hated going to the vet because I felt like they always tried to push expensive and unnecessary tests, but this vet is amazing! I've worked with two of the doctors as well as multiple staff members and everyone has been amazing. I've taken my cat here and my dog. My dog is very old and the vets have been so wonderful helping us through her various elderly dog issues. They've walked us through all of the tests and medications and they've been realistic about what needs to be done, what would be nice to do, and what isn't necessary. Wow this place is amazing!!!! I moved into a new apartment complex and they needed all this paper work for my dog. My dog Sophia was a rescue, her original owner and her were in an abusive situation and She needed to be rehired so that they could both find a safe place to go. Sadly, I was never given any papers when I got her, all they told me was that she was fixed. But she is amazing and my whole reason for living I swear! Anyways, I recently got her shots all up to date and then the apartments told me I needed more. Well I went to Banfield pet hospital first, WHAT A JOKE!!! They wouldn't shut up about their stupid wellness plan and didn't care about my dog at all. They basically treated me like garbage because I didn't have their $250 a month plan that only covered things I would use maybe once a year. So I came here to puget Park vet, and wow was I amazed, they answered the phone quick, the front desk staff was knowledgeable over the phone and in person. Their lobby is clean and well stocked with coffee and tea! Now my vet was so freaking awesome! She took sophie back and made sure she was comfy and then did an over all health check. There was a specific paper my apartments wanted me to get, but it was apparently for traveling and so my vet told me she would just write most of that info in a letter and then if I still needed the actual form, she would just discount what I already spent from the fee for the paper. She really cared about Sophia and she sympathized with my situation and I will definitely return thank you puget Park for an outstanding visit read more

This vet doesn't even deserve 1 star. They are unhelpful and the fakest people that don't even care about your cat just the money they earn. I switched vets because after I got my kitten spayed I asked for the records and they wrote horrible things in our files about us. When we got her spayed I asked if they had a different e-collar solution since she could not keep it on and was freaking out running around trying to get it off. The receptionists that talk like fake sorority girls wouldn't even let me talk to the vet and hung up on me. They are nasty people. They genuinely care for your pets as their own and have gone the extra mile for me. Everything from making a last-minute appointment on a busy day and even sending our family a card when one of our beagles passed away.
