Looks like a nice campus, off of a busy street, which likely gets easy access by public transportation as well. Here for a one-day Baha'i conference, we were hosted nicely with water, coffee and tea service. Lunch was provided through catering (maybe through the school?) which consisted of a selection of boxed sandwiches (Turkey, ham, roast beef, vegetarian). The boxes included a fruit (apple or orange) and a small bag of potato chips (Lays BBQ, Lays salted, Doritos Cool Ranch) and a small chocolate chip cookie. The space we were in - the gymnasium - was large and well-ventilated, including the capacity for air conditioning. Tall ceilings (presumably good for the sporting events held here), bleachers that can be pushed up against the walls and out of the way to make room for the 10-seater tables and chairs for the 500 participants present at the conference. A stage, mic setup and projector/screen were also made available and utilized during the event. Separate rooms were made available for additional spaces to take children, hold classes/breakout sessions, etc. Overall, a great space and experience. read more

I've been at EvCC for at least a few years now and I don't recommend coming here. After my first quarter, my advisor had me register for an advanced class, ended up getting dropped from it due to a prerequisite class I wasn't told about. In the summer of 2023, I had to drop my courses due to an family emergency and when I went back for the Fall, I had to go to the Cashier's office to see if I got a refund of my tuition. I had to wait TWO AND HALF HOURS just to be told it was transferred for my Fall tuition. This last spring, I thought it would be my final quarter with all of my credits, but I was dead wrong. My current advisor did not tell me I had to take ANOTHER COURSE just to graduate and straight up lied to me when we first talked six months before the spring quarter. Now I have to wait till the spring of 2026 just to graduate and have my associates. Also, the tuition and the parking permit prices are stupidly ridiculously expensive. $55 for a quarterly parking permit taking more than 9 credits? No thank you! I'm happy to get out of this college when I do! read more

Staff members that handle the front desk are extremely rude. They messed up on the scheduling and book me the wrong slot and wasn't even apologetic about it. She was quite defensive and told me that they wouldn't book me the wrong time when clearly the card says it's the right time. The environment seems so toxic. read more

Alumni, and Phi Theta Kappa member here. This was the worst atmosphere and staff I have ever experienced in a community college. Art Teacher(s) that insult students behind their back, thinking they can't hear. Making examples of honest mistakes before a class, and openly humiliating students. They seemed to believe this was an acceptable teaching style. Further, I had an inexperienced English teacher that tried to push a book projecting Chinese AI development for their ENG101 textbook, and lied to students about its political statements. There was no comradery or friendship for the outsider or minority to be had here; only petty socialites, spoiled rich kids, and unqualified staff. Particularly in the face of autistic and neurodivergent student(s). Nobody here knows what to do with them, so they end up in classes with kids barely out of high school that treat them no differently than they did 5 years before. A waste of time. read more

Hasn't gotten any better and if anything it's gotten worse. The English teacher Dana Harker is extremely rude and defends her verbally abusive ways by saying it's tough love. I dropped out of her class as soon as I could especially after seeing reviews on her being racist towards international exchange students. I'm disgusted. Also fix your dang bookstore! I looked up the books I was supposed to be getting online so I could pick them up later and it said to be announced for all of my classes. I'm not stupid so I go to the bookstore and they say it says that on their part too so they said to reach out to the professors. I emailed them and sure enough there's books I need to get. Imagine if I had done it much later what would have happened. Also Canvas overall is just messed up. I wish my family had more money to send me to a regular college or art school (I'm an art major) so I basically HAVE to go here as it's the only close community college near me. Also my advisor still never replies to my emails. He often says the next day in school that he got my email. Okay? Then why didn't you reply?? It sucks since the only way to get a new advisor is to reach out to the advising people and wether or not they think you're eligible for one or not. Do they even realize that this guy isn't doing his job?? I mentioned before that it seems that the professors here are unhappy with their work and so they take their anger out on the innocent students. We did NOTHING wrong and just want to save money especially now because of tariffs. I am disgusted at how disorganized this place is. They mind as well just hire people off the streets of Everett since that's what it looks like. If I wasn't so scared of dealing with debt four years from now, I wouldn't even be writing this terrible review. All of the students seem depressed and brain dead. We all basically walk by each other like zombies staring into space lmao. And the worst part is Everett I'd never going to fix this place. Most of the professors were kind and helpful, as were the students. My low stars are not due to any one person. My biggest issue is EVCC's lack of structure. If you are planning to attend, prepare to get lost in a maze of Y2K-quality sites, 100-page PDFs with size 6 text, and waiting for advisors who are so overloaded with work that sometimes it takes weeks to get a reply. And errors. Lots of errors due to somebody on EVCC's end (?) inputting your information into Starfish incorrectly. I am not the only student who spent thousands of dollars on classes I didn't need because of these errors. I've had to delay graduation 3 times because of this and may have to go for a 4 quarter since the last class I needed was spontaneously canceled days before the start of the quarter. It's my mistake for sticking with EVCC for so long. read more

WORST COLLEGE The advisors are the worst. Don't respond to emails; they're not helpful. You'll end up here for 5 years, I have a friend who has been going there for almost 6 years at a 2 to 3 years college because the advisors and the professors don't care about you; they care about their paychecks. Some professors won't allow late work for one single assignment check "rate my professor" before signing up for a class. And the cashier lady is a freaking rude person with the worst attitude, like you're pushing the retirement age calm down. read more

Very unhappy with coaching and medical/financial support. Due to lack of control of players on the team my son received a concussion from a head kick during a soccer practice. While being left unattended he was not informed of a "Community college" doctor he needed to see for this, and he is now looking at a $664.78 collection bill with 20% interest. What started as a discussion with the college on this issue got nowhere fast. I wish we had pursued this more. How this could happen to any student is beyond me. This is an athletic review more than educational, however the care of students/ our children needs to cover ALL ACTIVITIES at the college. I paid $1500 out of pocket to teach myself, I am in my last semester at OSU and needed one class I couldn't fit on my schedule so I decided to take it at Everett community college. I can easily say this is the worst school professors don't teach, don't respond to emails, financial aid office is useless, pretty much everything about this college is useless. read more

It's okay, I mean can't expect much out of a community college. The reason for my three star review is due to the fact that you have to pay 60.00 for a parking pass when there is no parking at all. It's a nightmare. I just park on the street now and it's alittle better and free. The recently added a new building that took up parking space. Build a parking garage?? Especially if they want to make evcc bigger. My second concern is that many of the staff memebers and teachers would rather die then help you and many of them are rude to you. They have a few really nice teacher but the front desk people, security officers and workfirst desk people are rude. I am a returning alumni and graduated a couple years ago with two degrees (prior to Covid). My experience with teachers, admissions, and the cashier and advisors was all really good back then. I felt like they all genuinely cared. Now hold on, because this is a bit of a rant but really important if you are considering this school or a returning student. I am currently returning to take one class that sounded fun and for some reason had to through the admission process again. So, it was ok up to there, but I discover that their customer service has gone down the toilet, BIG TIME. When I went before, everyone was so nice and picked up the phone and answered my questions in a timely manner. However, they now all hide behind email and it takes FOREVER to get anything done, even the simplest questions answered. Excuse after excuse after canned email response, if you even get an email back in the first place. Why do they have emails or phone numbers at all? They won't return the most detailed of phone messages. They also had the audacity to place me in open registration, when I have over 180 credits with them. And then they wouldn't directly answer why my credits weren't worth anything anymore. I think the staff just didn't want to deal with it. One more thing that's angering: I find that they are using this "ctc link" garbage that's waaaaaay worse than their previous programs. Almost everyone has problems with this. It's not college specific, run by the state so even more of your info gets flushed onto the web, and it looks and feels like Windows 98. What the heck is this? With how much tuition costs, everyone should be furious! We shouldn't have to use something so clunky. Honestly it comes down to boycotting. Take your money elsewhere because it's the only thing they take seriously. It's the only thing that will force change. read more

My review is based on my impression of the campus based on attending a 2 day long workshop there. The campus is clean, well maintained and beautiful. It's very close to the water so it smells like the ocean. The landscaping is great and the flowers and sculptures make the campus look very pretty. The buildings all seem rather new. While I cannot comment on the academics I can say that the campus gives off a very comfortable and inviting feeling. If you feel like you might be overwhelmed by a large campus then this college might be a good place for you to start. read more

Everything is online, and the teachers are still struggling to communicate and teach the material. It's funny how they are getting paid to post videos from the beginning of covid, yet they don't even go out of their way to teach the material themselves. Engineering is hard enough, but it worsens when your professor doesn't reply or go out of their way to prepare it personally. It's time to back in person. Beatriz Rodriguez is an entry advisor who did not help me accomplish anything. She isn't optimistic or hopeful. She made me feel discouraged about going to college by saying my grades aren't good when my overall GPA is satisfactory. She was giving me attitude and she gave me a HORRIBLE experience for EVCC. The tone of her voice didn't sound appealing when she was telling me how bad my grades are when I have a good overall GPA? Absolutely distasteful experience and bitter person. Bad practice of hiring part-time instructors. When colleges/programs do not have more than 75% of tenured/full time teaching faculty, you would generally consider an okay school to go. Not a good place to work. Physical environment is not great either. read more

I went to the testing center in Monroe. The screens are large and they provide ear plugs and material to take the test. The view is impeccable, but if need be, they can put down the shade. Karen was extra helpful but the entire staff were nice. I was told to put my cell phone and watch in the locker. I understood the cell phone part, but as for the watch, I don't think "what time is it?" will be on an IT exam. (Just kidding - smart watches have internet too). :) Good place to test. read more

My husband has been going to EVCC for the last 4 years to get a degree in Aviation Maintenance. As far as the school goes, he hasn't had many problems. I wanted to write this review to focus on the Financial Aid department. EVCC's Financial Aid Department has absolutely no clue what they are doing. Instead of upgrading their system to something more modern they have ONE person in charge of dispersing funds to thousands of people. Even when they were using a pre-paid visa card they still had to depend on one lady in the department to release the funds. This lady would often go on vacation the day before the funds were suppose to be released. We depend on my husbands financial aide because he's not working but focusing on going to school. He was getting a pell grant as well as a loan every two months. His payments were always late by a week or two then what we were told and what was posted on the EVCC portal website. We would often get them so late that he had to start school with out his books which if you go to college you know is completely EMBARRASSING to go to class unprepared. He would have to borrow his friend's books. Completely unacceptable. They refused to release full loan amounts as well. They would separate them into two payments over a 2 month period. Over the 4 years my husband has been attending EVCC we have received his money on time ONCE. That is horrible. Last month they decided they weren't going to use the pre-paid cards anymore but mail everyone's check through USPS. They didn't even warn us until it was going to happen. We were late on our rent and have to pay a huge fine and got a 3 day pay or vacate put on our door. It's a nightmare. When we called to find out what time frame we should expect the check by mail the first lady told us 3 days and it was sent out on the 3rd. The second lady said 5 to 10 business days. Well we found out it wasn't even mailed out until the 6th of this month... It's going to take a week to get here or more. Thank GOD we borrowed money from my husband's Mother or we'd be out on the streets!! EVCC seriously needs to work on their financial aid department and the employees, none of them talk to each other and we're constantly getting different answers from different people. I went to EvCC for my Cosmetology degree and I was very happy with it. The beauty school campus was actually in Marysville so I was only on the main campus for my first quarter. I attended when they were still building the new big buildings and the new transit station so things were a little bit torn apart and messy while I was there. However, the rest of the campus was well maintained and nicely laid out. As far as the actual beauty school went I was very pleased with my education. After now interviewing new students coming out of school for the salon I work in, I am seeing that I learned just as much, if not more from my humble beginnings as they did from their high end schooling. I felt very prepared to go out into the working world and start taking clients with minimal additional training. The instructors at the beauty school were also great; they were very supportive and did a great job helping us out in a variety of different ways. We had one instructor that was a barber and so she was able to help us with men's haircuts, while another teacher was great at wrapping perms. When I graduated from beauty school, I continued taking online classes so I could receive my associates degree as well. I feel that as long as you're motivated that online classes work really well. It was great to have knowledgeable instructors who would give great notes and online lectures, and being able to work at my own pace was great. All in all, if I needed to go back to school I would think about attending EvCC again. read more

Difficulties with one of the financial assistance representative. She wasn't very helpful and was rude. My daughter completed all the necessary financial aid paperwork weeks ago including myself turning in the IRS and financial documents needed for her to apply for financial aid. Jordan, the financial assistance staff wasn't very willing to answer questions and ended up hanging up on my daughter never to answer the phone again. She received an email indicating she didn't meet the deadline to begin school this quarter. She had turned in all documents multiple times. We escalated the situation to leader ship and the financial aid issues were quickly resolved and my daughters account was placed on hold so that she is able to get into school this quarter. After more consideration, we have chosen to pursue education at Seattle Central CC, this school is not the right fit for us. We all have to remember that when we are taking roles and employment and helping the community and serving others, we truly have to feel that way inside. We really have to have empathy and compassion and love for others and working a role where people are going to need your help and ask questions. It takes patience. And if you don't have that, maybe you should consider a different career. Seattle Central community college has taken my daughter on and she really enjoyed her teachers and her class and I think that was the best choice. read more

This is a very nice place for a community college. I am just finishing up their Graphic Design program. The campus is continually growing, as of now they are building a new gym and have several other buildings that are new, like Grey Wolf Hall and Whitehorse. The majority of the teachers are great and really have a passion for teaching. The administration for the college is just ok, many of the employees are rude which really irritates me. I guess maybe they are that way because they deal with a lot of teenagers but I am 30 and get tired of the snootyness especially from the enrollment and registration ladies. A bit pricey if you are taking anything technical because the lab fees are a killer! Overall I am glad I've got here and don't regret it. read more

I use to live in the dorms as well that was kinda hell, if you can please avoid them if that's an option you're better off getting an apartment on your own that's bigger than what they offer with those ridiculous rates. I went to EvCC in 2005 . I attended ESL Classes. I liked evening classes. Our teacher was very talented in teaching. He used great techniques while teaching English. I believe his name was James. He has a british accent, which was very easy to understand. Parking was free and plenty. Campus was pretty nice looking. Though I was weird combination of very modern buildings and buildings that look like a storage places. LOL read more

I attended EvCC in 2010 for a biology transfer. They have great instructors with great backgrounds. They would also work with you. The tutoring center was pretty much my second home. I fully advise participating in school activities such as clubs, senate and regular celebrations. All the school is really missing is a large garage/parking lot but they also provided ORCA bus cards which saved so much money. read more

Just finishing up my first year here, and it's been a wonderful experience. The instructors have all been great so far, and campus security has a very secure presence. Maps are clear and it's easy to get to where you need to go. Students and staff are always friendly and willing to help if you are lost or confused. I know that there's sometimes a parking crisis, but that's what you get with a community college. A TON of people go here! I try to take most of my classes online or hybrid. If I have to go to campus for a class, I usually try to just arrange a ride so I don't have to worry about parking. read more

I would recommend EvCC to anyone who is looking for a technical degree in one of their specialty areas: (nursing, art/graphic design, welding, Spanish medical translating, etc.) A lot of people don't realize that community colleges differ from each other and each will specialize in a few standout technical programs. EvCC is the state leader in nursing education. College admissions can show you all the technical program offerings. If you are looking to go to a university eventually, EvCC is also a good choice to start a well-rounded education and get a university transfer degree. I'm a fan of the level of one-on-one focused attention and help from your instructor that you can get in the courses. Plus, there is free tutoring offered anytime at the drop-in tutoring center. They have so many great resources! When you choose a community college, you want to make sure that the campus suits you. It should be comfortable to hang out in, have groups that you might want to participate in, and classes that you would want to take. EvCC provides all of these things for most people. The biggest drawbacks of this college are just administration issues, registration snafus, financial aid paperwork issues, etc... general red tape bureaucracy. Oh, and some of the buildings are run down. Other buildings are really nice though. It's a good school overall. I give it a B+/A- Check it out! read more

There is a ton of stuff going on at this place. Not only do you have the opportunity to get your AA degree, you can also get those prerequisites for transfer done here. There are a number of 4 year colleges represented on campus as well... Wazu... WWU... Central U... EWU... so you may not need to trek somewhere else to finish that Bachelor's Degree or that Master's. The campus is growing and with the collaboration from Washington State University, there is now campus housing. All in all, not a bad place to go to school and easy to get to. read more

So I live in Oak Harbor, WA and tried unsuccessfully take a placement test for a different school at Skagit Valley. I went back and forth for a week with them so I figured I would try to find a proctor at a different location and so I called here, Everett Community College and they set it up within the hour. The testing center is absolutely great and they were super accommodating and helpful. If you're in the Whidbey area and moving or taking online classes for a different school I would recommend looking at this school before Skagit Valley to meet your needs. read more

I am writing this review as an observer of a college that keeps expanding and growing. It would be nice to see them get the WSU satellite branch to complement the existing community college. The new buildings going up can only help revitalize the area in the North Everett end. read more

This place is a technical school posing as a college. I've had a ton of issues since I started here, mostly with the math department, however there are some Amazing teachers here in various fields. One of them is NOT Akram Ali. He is an EASY A but you wont learn what you need to in order to pass other classes. Very unfortunate. read more
