Buyers be aware if your finance companies is demanding GAP insurance refund be sent to them after you pay off your vehicle. The gap insurance is $ owed to you. They already wait too long to give the money back due to "processing" the closing documents and title. Recently I found an issue that I've read that could possibly be fixed with one of the software updates that came out last year. Dealer wants me to pay for the update. Had a service appointment at 11am. My service advisor Katelyn was friendly but I ended up waiting 4 hours just for them to tell me the issue with my vehicle was a battery. Spent $200 just for that diagnosis that took 4 hours. I'm a very patient person but even for me that was quite ridiculous. Didn't get my battery changed out because they wanted $500 more dollars to do that. I didn't receive a service receipt about what was done to my vehicle or anything. I didn't think about it at the time, just wanted to get out of there. It was already 3pm. I then called the store on my drive home for them to email me a receipt and was told no problem. Terrible Dealership. Preformed a GM recommended recall on my trucks control valve on the transmission. Get my truck back is sub par condition and 2 days later the transmission comes out. The refuse to help or even make it on the mo ey I have spent to fix whatever happen while in their car. In my 48 years, I have bought a lot of vehicles. It is hard to recall such a poor representation of a salesman as Everett's Marcus Robinson. Marcus contacted me after I inquired about a couple of different used trucks. From nearly the very beginning of my dealing with Marcus, it was pure games. Games about the trade in value and games about the price of the vehicle.Marcus claimed that there was no more room for negotiation yet when I told him I was no longer interested, magically the price of the vehicle fell. I made two counter offers, and at one point we were simply $1500 apart, yet he continued his games. I can't speak to the professionalism of other employees at Everett Chevrolet but Marcus Robinson is your stereotypical sleazy used car salesman that speaks with a forked tongue. I give 4 stars because nobody is perfect, I just bought a truck from Everette in Morganton, I was dreading it so bad to have to deal with a dealership and all the crap , of lying, cheating , anything to sell you a vehicle. These guys talked to me about everything except cars , no asking my credit rating, or how much I'm putting down. They really put me at ease , it was supposed to be that way , or they just didn't care if I bought a vehicle or not. But anyway it took me 2 1/2 hours to drive away in the truck I wanted , I don't know about the service department, but if it's like what these people in here say , I got to be honest , theirs not a lot of companies out there that have the stellar employees they used too , this generation thinks their doing the company a favor by working for them ,and they act just that way , So before you bash any company for having worthless employees, think about that. Never fixed the things they said they would have fixed don't return calls when you have issues but will sure blow your phone up to come get your oil changed oh and I have had nothing but issues out of my Yukon ever since I bought the thing. Every time I need to get my oil changed, I always schedule it with them well in advance, and every time it takes them between an hour to 1.5 hours to do it, even with a scheduled appointment! I've been going to them for YEARS, and it hasn't changed; I'm tired of it! Why does it takes so long to get an oil change when other places can do it in 15 mins? Avoid dealing with Everett Chevrolet Buick GMC of Morganton at all costs. On Saturday, April 30 our 2021 Chevrolet Equinox was carrying our family and pets to our new North Carolina home from Texas. The car had an engine light come on and we stopped at Everett Chevrolet Buick GMC of Morganton around 11 am. We waited in the lobby until 4:45 pm when someone finally came to us and told us that our car needed a major repair. They also shared that we had to leave the dealership as they were closing for the day. They offered no rental car option, and no rental car location was open within 50 miles. We had kids and pets in the car and were stranded. The repairs on our car took 28 days to finish. Joey Jones promised us that our rental car would be reimbursed by General Motors and that we would receive one (1) month of our car payment from Everett Chevrolet Buick GMC of Morganton for the trouble. When they finally finished our UNDER WARRANTY repairs they delivered the car to us in Greensboro, but they had two employees that made a mess in our car and returned it to us dirty. It's now July 5, and we have yet to receive any payment from Everett Chevrolet Buick GMC of Morganton or General Motors. Joey Jones does not return phone calls now and we are over 140 miles away so they have ignored us completely This is a bad business run by people who are not honest with customers. These are criminals that work here. I bought an SUV from them. Four recalls that weren't fixed, they sent my title 50 days after I paid cash. They gave me a price for taxes and tags. When I received my title, my receipt was stapled to it. It shows that they stole the money that was meant for my tax. If I could give them no stars, I would. I had to pay $1,364.97 to get my tags. I hope you read this and stay away from these ass clowns. I'm sure most of them have done time and will again. There's nothing you can do. You robbed me. I have a receipt that doesn't match my quote. Maybe not everyone there is a crook. But when I called from Naples trying to get tags for my car. I noticed that what you said over and over again about the price included taxes; in fact, you charged me more for Florida taxes. Mind-Bending Level of Terrible I hesitate to even try to describe my experience at the service center because it will sound so unreal that you would think it cannot possibly be true. Nevertheless, here it goes. I took my car, a 2020 Chevy Camaro which is under warranty, in for service. I scheduled an appointment ahead of time, I arrived on-time at the dealership (at 11:15am), and I filled out all paperwork before giving them the keys. At that time, they told me it would be 1.5-2 hours to run diagnostics, and they would call me. I didn't receive a call the entire rest of the day. At 10:30am the next day, I called the service center to ask on the status of my vehicle. They put me on hold, and after waiting 15 minutes without anyone answering the phone, I decided I would drive over to the dealership. I arrived at the dealership around 11:30am, now over 24 hours after I dropped off my vehicle for service, and asked the service department for status on my vehicle. They played around "checking" on the status for 10 minutes before they informed me that they had not done anything with my car yet. After getting past the shock of having scheduled an appointment and then given the dealership 24 hours in which they never called me and then being put on endless hold instead of answering my phone call, I asked them to return my car keys and I would be on my way. They initially refused to return my keys saying that my vehicle was in the garage and going to be looked at right now, to which I responded that my vehicle was not in the garage, it was sitting right in front of me in the lot. Not sure why they thought they could get away with that lie since it was pretty easy to disprove. They then played games and wasted another 15 minutes before I had to demand that they return my keys. I honestly thought I was going to have to call the police to get the keys back for the car that I own. To be clear, they did not say I owed them any money for service, since they admitted they did not do any service, they simply refused to return my keys. So, in summary, this was the worst experience I have had from any car service center / shop. I cannot emphasize enough how this kind of behavior and terrible service (or lack thereof) is so unbelievably unacceptable. In case it is not obvious, I will never return to either the the service department or the sales department. I will not buy a vehicle from a dealership like this, period. Following this experience, I took my car to Team Chevy of Boone who did a great job. No issues, very responsive, helpful, and quick. So, it is possible to get your car serviced, you just cannot do it here. read more

Everett Chevrolet is one of the best I 've done business with. In this day of clichés, "we want to earn your business", Everett actually delivers. They seem to work together as a team and are refreshingly honest. From the sales consultant to the CFO, everyone at Everett Morganton was professional and courteous. I've personally bought two vehicles in less than a year. Both times I had excellent customer service and friendly people trying to work for me. Very nice dealership with popcorn, drinks, coffee and bottle water in their customer lounge as well as cable tv. I was surprised at how well both transactions was. I wanted a new truck but didn't want to go through the usual hassle of trying to buy a vehicle. Everett's didn't have any of that. He is very knowledgeable and thorough. He ensured that even on his days off I was covered. Every time I call I get a new excuse and I am promised it will be overnighted that day. I've been told "it's in the mail today!" four times now. Do not go to this delearship. Honestly, we didn't think we would be able to get a new (or newer) truck, but they did their best to make our wishes come true. My husband's health is not the greatest, and he is SUCH a good man, I felt he really deserved to have this new truck. I thank Everett Chevrolet for helping us get our new truck. It is a 2014 GMC Sierra 1500, a beautiful sparkly metallic medium gray. While it is a preowned vehicle, let me tell you, this vehicle looked BRAND spanking new!! Last year the lease on our GMC Terrain was about to expire and we were interested in leasing another vehicle. This time we wanted a car (I should say my wife wanted a car). I spent many hours on the computer identifying dealerships in our area that I felt might be able to work with the budget. I began contacting each and finally settled on Everett Chevrolet-Buick in Morganton. What made us decide to work with this dealership was a young man by the name of Silas Huskins. He spent many hours working with our budget and he was also able to find us a car that met our requirements. In the final analysis we leased a 2016 Buick LaCrosse. Some days after we departed the dealership he contacted us to see how we liked the car and he continues to do that. Everett has an outstanding salesman in Silas. One of the worst and unappreciated experiences in my life. When you go and spend $60k+ on a new truck and you're promised to have your truck ready at a certain time it should be done. With that in mind if it would of just been a hour of two being late I wouldn't be writing this review. I dropped my truck off on a Friday to have the frame sprayed and a spray in bed liner. I was promised the truck would be ready and cleaned up for the first time since buying the truck yes I took home a dirty brand new truck with out the dealership cleaning it first. So with that being said I get to the dealership and my truck wasn't there. So I go ask where my truck was jerry the sales person that sold me the truck let's keep him in mind for later had people in his office so I asked someone else. They respond having no idea what's going on with my truck so I start to worry they call down to hickory dealership to see what's going on with my truck two hours went buy with asking different people to find out what was going on with my truck. The manger finally showed up I ask him and tell him what was going on and he calls and tells me the truck is locked up in a shop and he would have the truck delivered to me Monday morning and promising me my truck would be cleaned up and ready to go. So Monday rolled around I wait till ten no one has let me know what was going on with my truck I call I get the run around yet again so I call back ask to talk to the manger jerry answers saying they are having a driver to take my truck to my house now that it was clean and everything. So my truck showed up late go figure and get this the truck was dirty in the inside they only cleaned the out side. So I talk to jerry and jerry says it's human error what do you want me todo about it I've been busy all day with people in my office. So you sale me a $65k truck and that's how you respond to people not willing to make sure they are taking care of the stuff they are promised. This dealer ship will do what thy need to do to make the sale they don't care about you or your time I would highly recommend going to a different place where they value their customers I will not never go back here ever!!!!! read more

I live 4.5 hours away from Morganton. When I found a Denali 2500 HD listed online, I called and talked with the people from Everett Chevrolet and was assured it was in perfect shape. I placed a deposit on the vehicle and drove 4.5 hours in pouring rain to trade in my vehicle for the Denali. When I arrive, I find that there is not only corrosion and surface rust all over multiple parts in the engine, but also oversized tires that rub the frame and a truck so out of align that it will run off the run if you remove your hands from the steering wheel for a split second. I spent almost 7 hours at the dealership as they assured it could be fixed, only to have them finally say they could't do anymore and that another dealership would have to look at it. My question is how in the hell this truck made it through a 172 point inspection and was classified as a GMC Certified Pre Owned? Now my vehicle has an extra 650 miles on it and I lost almost two days between the 9 hours driving and the 7 hours spent at the dealership. Frustrating to say the least... read more
