The food is always consistant great service, and we all left with full bellies . Everyone ordered their favorite foods and it was time to share on anything we had not tasted before. (Dining & review was made during the Covid time so there were added sanitary precautions and social distancing measures in place.) It was my first time in Brantford and also my first opportunity to try any local food place. I was with Indian friends so we picked this location to have our dinner. The interior of Everest Grill is very homey. It was roomy with ample seating, made the more so because during the time we were inside there were just one or two other groups of people dining at the same time as we were. I was not able to confirm how they would regulate customer density because it was a slow Saturday evening and there are still a lot of seats available. Food was not among the best I've had, and it is not bad either. It would probably range between average to excellent. Prior to ordering we were asked how spicy we would want the food to be: mild, medium, spicy. My group decided on going with mild, with some consideration that I was also dining with them. (I can have spicy food, but my body has an uncontrollable reaction to sweating profusely when eating spicy food. Haha.) The choice of "mild" turned out to be too mild even for me. Medium would have been a better option that is still acceptable for less spicy tolerant people like I am. The last point I would want to touch upon is the good service we received. The waitress were very patient serving us and afforded us the comfortable amount of time to decide on our orders. Serving of water and of the food were timely. They cleared our plates at around an acceptable timing. A staff person also came to greet us and asked how our meal and dining experience was. This is not a fancy new restaurant, but who cares as long as it is clean, has attentive staff, and simply delicious food ? I ordered what I always eat when visiting an Indian/Pakistani/Nepali establishment, and this way I can compare my experiences in different restaurants, be they in New York, North Carolina, Florida, California, Ontario, Quebec, or even Milan, Italy. I mention Milan because it was undoubtedly the worst. I guess I should have got something Italian, what is that expression about when in Rome, do as the Romans ? Here goes with what I ordered: First the onion bhaji - generous serving with great tamarind sauce. Too much for one person, but I ate it all and this is why I didn't have room for the main course - chicken tikka masala (medium spice level) wonderful flavour and generous portion. The naan was super light and, not to overuse the word, delicious. I brought half of that home as well. Last but not last, the mango lassi was light and tasty. I find that good eating places are harder to find in Ontario than in Quebec, but this is place I will return to next time I am in the area. read more

It's rare I review. It's even rarer that I give more than 3 or 4 stars. I had the non-vegetarian thali: beef curry, tandoori chicken, daal, etc. Great value for $13, and tastiest tandoori I've ever had. I'll be back for sure. read more

A HIDDEN GEM! I was really surprised to find this place in Brantford, but I am so glad that I did. This is probably the best place I've eaten at in Brantford. I got daal, lamb chops, chicken biryani, garlic naan, and a sweet dessert that I can't remember the name of. Everything came out hot and tasted very good. Some friends recommended this place to us. At first glance it seems very out dated, however the quality of the food here is extremely top notch. My wife historically isn't a fan of Indian because it's too spicy. Here everything can be ordered in mild, medium, or hot. If you can get past the decor, the food is delicious.
