One of the workers, Lathan, had just taken the trash out and went right on to making smoothies (not sure if he changed gloves). He is quite possibly a new hire, however, more training is definitely needed prior to being tasked with making smoothies on his own. As he was making my smoothie, it was too thick, so he added more ice, then more, then more. When I finally got it, after waiting at least 10 minutes, it wasn't what I ordered and it tasted like water with blueberry. We weren't able to even 'just choke it down'. He was very sloppy in his work, seemingly mixing smoothies as he splashed them around. My mom's smoothie was also not good and he didn't fill it all the way- leaving at least an inch of space even though there was some smoothie remaining in the blender. He added it after we asked about it. 2/6 of the workers were experienced. (A manager and one other worker) We received refunds.

Visited Blend for the first time with a friend, excited to find a local place that could…read moreaccommodate my raw vegan lifestyle. My first impression was wonderful..the little restaurant was clean, charming, and the outdoor seating was perfect for a warm day. Sadly...that positive impression quickly changed due to the customer service we received. We were greeted by an employee whose receipt identified her as Ashley. Ironically, she was wearing a "Good Vibes" shirt, yet her attitude toward me was anything but welcoming. As I explained that I am a strict RAW vegan and wanted to build my own salad without rice or meat, she became noticeably extremely rude, dismissive and snarky. I wasn't requesting anything outside of what the menu already offers; I was simply using the build-your-own option that Blend advertises. What was most disappointing was what happened afterward. While waiting for my order, both my friend and I could clearly hear and observe Ashley mocking me from the back area. Right in the doorway as if she didn't try to hide it at all talking to another employee...at one point, she appeared to be imitating someone using a cane. Which is obviously not a coincidence considering as someone who currently uses a cane while recovering from cancer treatment, she was clearly mocking me. Yesterday's experience was deeply hurtful and humiliating. To avoid further embarrassment, or harassment my friend suggested and I chose to sit outside and finish our meal. No apology was offered, nor was there any attempt to address the situation by any of the staff. I genuinely wanted to support this local business, but after this experience, I will not be returning and cannot recommend it to others. Everyone deserves to be treated with basic kindness and respect, regardless of their dietary choices or physical limitations.

Another employee said, "That's the Sunrise Sunset with spinach" (which is what I had). I overheard them having this conversation, but they didn't think I heard it. Less than one minute later my smoothie was done, and I asked the young lady if she made a new one. She said yes. I told her that was impossible. She repeated that she did make it over, but when I asked her co-worker if she made it over, she quietly shook her head no (please give this young lady a raise or something for being honest). I usually have grace for fast food establishments getting my order wrong, but this was absolutely UNACCEPTABLE and UNSANITARY. I will be calling corporate and will take to social media if needed.
