I needed to have my large Sissoo tree taken down from my backyard and got 5 quotes including God's…read moreGreen Earth. There was a HUGE price difference in the quotes. I was looking for companies that knew how to take down large Sissoo trees as well as had good reviews on Yelp. Some companies did not call me back. It took a bit of phone tag to talk to Adam Gilletti, the owner, but through a series of phone tags, we were able to get him to come out and give me a quote. After reading more reviews, looking up all the businesses on BBB, Google reviews, Yelp, and Angie's List and comparing prices, how long it would take to remove the tree, God's Green Earth was the winner. Adam and his crew of 4 other men (Tyler, Spencer, Richard, Ruben) that showed up that day were extremely professional, efficient and knew what they were doing. My Sissoo tree was extremely close to the Block Wall (within a foot) that the root system was damaging. That section of the block wall will need to be replaced, so it was in a precarious state. I watched the whole time the tree was being taken down and even took a time-lapse video of most of the process. Adam climbed into the tree and began meticulously and precisely cutting down the tree. None of the heavy branches hit or even touched the wall as the branches fell to the ground with loud thuds. Safety was a huge thing and Adam has $2M insurance covered. The 5 men worked cohesively, efficiently and quickly to bring the tree down. I was surprised that they were able to fit my whole tree (taller than a 2 story building and wide) into mainly 1 landscaping trailer, and the trunk in another trailer with all their equipment. They really packed the trailer well. I couldn't be more pleased with the professionalism and job that Adam and his men did. And, a couple of the men were not big guys - in fact, they were all very thin. But all of them were very strong and capable, so don't under estimate them by the looks. I did ask them during the quoting process that if they got the bid, to not smoke on my property. They abided by that. They cleaned up my yard from all the debris. Oh, they got there maybe about 8:45 am and I think Adam and Tyler left about 12:15 pm. The other 3 men left before noon to another job. When Adam showed up, it was with 2 men. So, all in all, about 3 1/2 hrs to take down this humongous tree. As I watched them through the process, you can tell they really knew what they were doing and had done this many times. They had removing large trees down to a T and they also worked so great together. Would highly recommend. And, for the price, it's the best deal ever. What the other companies were quoting was highway robbery. Adam said even on the great price he gave me, he was still making a very decent profit. Just like another reviewer said, if I could give above a 5 star review, I would.

I'll do my best to quickly summarize: Requested to treat another Cypress tree that was turning brown, however, mentioned I needed to first fix drip system around house and especially along the cypress trees. Was then informed they also did irrigation and sprinkler/drip systems. My mistake for believing. First appointment day and time was missed. They arrived 5-6 hours after appointment time. 2nd visit was not planned. They just showed up! Cypress trees were fertilized and mulch placed at the base of each. Unfortunately, the labor effort required to fix the drip system was too much for company. Thus, after many hours of effort and failure, see attached for how my front yard was left. After one prospective crew constantly avoided me, I asked Gold Medal if their quote was still good. They not only said their quote was still good, but that they could be out there later that day to complete the job. Within 4 hours, I had a half dozen stumps out of my yard, and my front yard was free of those obtrusive bushes. The crew did a great job, but the next day I spotted a wet spot in my soil. A drip line must have been ripped in the process of the job. I tried to find the leak myself, but with no luck. So I contacted Gold Medal (over the weekend) to see if they could help. And they did. They were out there Monday morning, and fixed the leak. Prompt communication, fair prices, quality work, and responsible employees. Would highly recommend.
