Our wedding was supposed to happen in the midst of Covid-19. But, had to get postponed to the following year 2021. Long story short everything was about money for them. I wanted to change to an outdoor venue since it was more safe for our small 85 guests. But, they made it seem like they couldn't find outdoor winery in Valle de Guadalupe. Here I am contacting places 7 months before my wedding. Everywhere I called they're was availability. At first everything was going great and little things started to fall out of place. Keep in mind that all the planning started in December of 2019. I would say that you need to stay on top of everything! I mean everything! Keep asking questions or state your concerns. If you want a certain vendor at your wedding I would say contact them directly. Going thru Lorena Cardenas will cost you an arm and a leg. I had three different vendors and was less than half the price. Taco stand guy $240 for 100 people, Mariachi $600 for 3 hours and also a music group for $500 for the whole night. My biggest complaint was getting a call literally 4 weeks before my wedding that the church was missing a document. I sent all the documents that was required in July of 2020 and why are they telling me about this 4 weeks before my wedding? I was so stressed out!! Literally, had to call several churches in LA to get this paperwork expedited to Ensenada within a 2 weeks. Also, I had the DJ call me the night before my wedding asking me for the type of music I wanted him to play. Which was so weird because I wasn't even prepare for that phone call. I told him to play newer hip-hop and Spanish music and that didn't happened. When it was time to our bridal party to enter he didn't even announce their names. Other things happened during our wedding planning that aren't worth sharing that bother me. I would say STAY ON TOP OF THEM!! Ask questions and state your concerns. Day-of Coordination: Elena stood out not only on the wedding day but also in the months leading up to it. She was incredibly helpful during the planning process--offering thoughtful insight into creating a seamless timeline and even helping with ideas for decor and place settings tailored to our outdoor, beachy (and occasionally windy!) wedding. She thought of every detail, from preparing us in advance to get those dreamy photos (like the first kiss and cake cutting) to ensuring everything ran on schedule without a hitch. On the day, Elena was a true lifesaver. From the rehearsal to the ceremony and reception, I never once had to worry about where I needed to be or what was next. She kept everything moving smoothly, pointing me in the right direction while allowing me to fully enjoy the company of our guests and the magic of the day. And she always made sure we were taken care of (never without a drink in hand!). Her leadership and attention to detail made it all so effortless for us. Florals: Melissa tackled all of our floral arrangements, and I couldn't have been happier with how they turned out! Working within my limited budget, she brought my vision to life with stunning florals that perfectly matched our style and the seaside setting. Melissa truly understood the look I was going for, and her creativity and expertise made every arrangement stand out beautifully. She even gave me a calming pep talk before I walked down the aisle, which was such a thoughtful touch during a nerve-wracking moment. I booked her early and we initially just did a couple meetings to discuss our vision and needs regarding coordination, vendor contracts and florals since we did not need a full-planning service, only partial. She was always upfront and gave me honest opinions especially when it came to where to splurge and save, and what could look good and what wouldn't. The last 2 months is where she really shined, helping us follow up with vendors on details, setting deadlines for me to book rentals, reviewing contracts and constantly doing sanity checks when I needed it. The day of, she came extremely prepared, everything flowed smoothly (except some technical issues on part of the venue) and she was great at going with the flow and just letting the vibe and natural mood of the day go, and fixing whatever problems I threw at her. We also had her as our florist and she truly out did herself- her prices were incredibly reasonable and she handled everything like a champ when her assistant got sick the day of the reception. She also took my back and forth floral design suggestions and changes very well, as I am quite particular on details in some areas and deferred to her expertise in others. Honestly could not have done it without her and she was without a doubt my #1 worth it vendor! Would absolutely hire her for all your wedding planning and floral needs.

We did our wedding at a VRBO and planned everything ourselves, so it was really important to us to have some great staff to make sure the day ran smoothly. Jessica was super easy to work with and was full of amazing ideas to make our event perfect. She gave a fantastic recommendation for food for our welcome dinner (shout out to Tacos Los Chubby's), and helped plan our dessert and late night snack options which the guests RAVED about! Jessica worked within our budget to find the most cost effective way to spread staff out over our events to achieve the most support which was greatly appreciated. The staff - Julieta, Dillon, Aramis, and Hilario, were by far one of the biggest highlights of our wedding! Our wedding day had a huge amount of wind and they all were extremely calm and willing to pivot to move all wedding tables into a different space very quickly. We heard about a few things later on that happened that they all handled without telling us too which was great.
