Our gowns were being custom made so she gave everyone in our party her personal cell phone number and provided us weekly updates on our order. She even gave our friend who was a BRIDEZILLA and who got her dress at a different store,weekly updates. Shannon went over and beyond for us. even after hours when the store was closed she always respond to our texts and answered our questions. So when my boyfriend proposed to I went back to Jetaime to look for my wedding gown. Unfortunately Shannon was not there that day. So after waiting over an hour for the owner Lupe? to come out and help me which never actually happened! She was to busy getting yelled at by some of her tax clients? in the back room who were pissed off about being audited! I guess the owner runs a bridal/tax store ? Who knows! All I know is that I was just by sitting there not being helped, and listening to the owner being called a liar and incompetent because how badly she messed up how she filed taxes for them. They were even more pissed off when the owner asked for even more money to fix the audit! Why is this tax BS happening at a bridal shop anyway? Sketchy AF! Wait IT GETS WORSE! Even though I desperately wanted to get out of there I could not leave, I felt obligated as a mother to stay there to make sure the 2 little girls which I'm assuming who belonged to the owner, who were not being supervised by anyone, were running around the store screaming and playing hiding o seek between the wedding gowns and pulling off the dresses that were hanging on the display racks and leaving them on the floor while they trampled on top of them! So since I didn't want them hurt themselves or to run out of the shop on to Mchenry ave and get hit by a car! I sat there and watched them til the owner came out! If you want to be surrounded by utter chaos by an obviously irresponsible liar and shady business owner then go to this store. I don't think Shannon is working there anymore but she is awesome! so check around and ask for her in other bridal stores and hopefully she is working at one of them. The owners were incredibly supportive--reliable, responsive, and followed through on every promise. One of the things we appreciated most was their flexibility. Unlike many venues that require you to use their preferred vendors for catering, bartending, or florals, August Meadows gave us the freedom to choose our own. That made a huge difference in creating a day that felt personal and unique. We also opted to have them handle the cleanup the following morning, and it was absolutely worth the extra cost--stress-free and seamless. The location itself is secluded and offers a wonderful sense of privacy. I highly recommend visiting in person to ensure it aligns with your expectations. As a small heads-up: the parking area is unpaved, and there's a bit of gravel to walk through, which posed a slight challenge for a few guests in high heels. Also, having a microwave in the clubhouse would be a nice addition. Other than that, our experience was outstanding. Private location surrounded by trees has a large grass area, great gazebo in the round area set up for drinks, and a cement area ideal for dancing. Rooms available for bridal party to get dressed (wished it had AC) for the big day. Strongly recommend you check this venue out. The parking area is dirt (owner made sure it was watered prior so minimal dust). Getting from the parking area into the venue area there is small gravel so watch your step and footwear.
