Karalin was AMAZING! I reached out as she was referred by my Bridal Boutique (& now I know why she came highly recommended) & she got back to within the same hour. Super quick turnaround compared to the others I reached out to especially since it was a Saturday. After our initial call, we set a date for me to bring my wedding dress in & she is very flexible when it comes to scheduling so that was a plus since I am located in Modesto. When I arrived for my appointment, she was so sweet & took her time to walk me through all her recommendations and just let me know exactly what she was going to do with my dress. She was transparent about extra labor needed due to my dress being beaded so it would have to be done by hand instead of a sewing machine. She was upfront about the cost as well, she wanted to make sure we were aligned before continuing which I appreciated. I am a sweaty-betty so I brought my own mini-fan to use during my fitting but Karalin saved the day with these neck-fans that I was able to use so I didn't have to hold anything in my hand during my appointment. Talk about prepped for anything! She's great! My appointment was August 21 and she gave me an estimate to have my dress ready by October 1 to give me some time to perfect anything before my October 25 wedding date. So it was an awesome surprise when she reached out to me on August 31 stating that my dress was ready for fitting & pick-up. Talk about underpromising and overdelivering! When I went for my fitting and to pick up my dress, I wanted to record how to bustle my dress & Karalin was so sweet, she literally helped with a 15-min recording to provide a walk-through for those who would help me with my bustle on my wedding day. She didn't have to do that but she didn't hesitate when I asked. Overall, Karalin was a pleasure to work with and I would recommend her over and over again to anyone that will listen. I would recommend this place if you need to get something very important altered, like a wedding dress, or a prom dress. I think she's way over priced for basic alterations. However, I'm a bit of a procrastinator, (aren't we all) so I didn't get my suit until Wednesday afternoon. Not Wednesday one week before Thanksgiving, Wednesday the day before Thanksgiving! So I tried it on at Men's Wearhouse, I liked the color and feel. Unfortunately I needed to get it adjusted a bit. Slacks were way too long and the coat didn't fit 100% right. Men's Wearhouse told me it will be about three weeks delivery time to tailor it. I took off disappointed. Still bought my suits, though! Lol... After getting in my car I called around to a few places that I found on a quick Internet search. Some places didn't answer or didn't accept my request. But Karalin took my appointment. I was at her place of business 25 minutes later. Although it was short notice, she was able to provide the full service I requested to both of my suits. I picked up my order the next day, Thursday morning right on time. I am very pleased with Karalin's ability to deliver the order on time and as requested.
