I also sat down in the cafe area and ordered a cappuccino (5.20 CHF), which was more latte like than cappuccino like but I still enjoyed it. If you need to pay in card, you'll have to go back to the front and it is the same minimum. The reason why I'm giving this place 2 stars if not because the food isn't good, but rather that they didn't give me the option to pay for both the croissant and coffee at the same time. I had enough cash when I ordered the croissant but had to meet the minimum when I bought the coffee - if I could have ordered them together (I did ask the front and she said no), then I would not have had to purchase as many random things to meet the minimum. I feel like that is something they should be more considerate about especially as they don't exactly advertise that they aren't a card friendly place.

I was able to get in an out and still make my 4 hour train to Paris. This mini grocery store is inside the busy train station. This is Switzerland so of course prices are really high. Our bag of potato chips, two small cans of Coke Zero, a bottle of Evian water, and two pre-made deli sandwiches cost us roughly $40 U.S. The sandwiches were really high quality though, comparable to something you'd get state-side at, say, Dean & Deluca. The cheapest item we purchased was the liter of Evian water (for 89 cents)! I love when I travel to or through Switzerland because Evian is SO CHEAP. It's my favorite bottled water and I drink it with abandon when in Europe. The cashiers were fast and friendly enough, and Coop takes credit cards (which means you don't have the hassle of taking out Swiss Francs from the ATM if you are just briefly in the country). Nothing fancy but plenty to eat and a decent selection of healthy (yogurt, salads, nuts) and not so healthy (fresh baked cookies, potato chips, candy) snacks.

Unfortunately, after ordering a double burger with bacon and avocado, I was quite disappointed. The meat was very disappointing and frankly left me with a feeling that I was having a meat-free steak. Not great. Fries and salad were fine. Unfortunately, that did not mean that their vegetarian burgers were any better - my GF's opinion of their vegetarian option was not that they were not as amazing either.
