For the mains we ordered the Pasta al Forno and the homemade Ricotta Raviolis Al Pesto Maison. Both arrived and we thought we were in Italy. They were huge and beautiful. And perfectly cooked. We ate until we couldn't eat anymore and barely ate half... the portions are huge. Sad we were too full to have dessert. Hopefully we will return in another visit. Recommend you try this small Italian restaurant that is located off the Main Street but within walking distance of the main hotels. It is Not a touristy place. The English speaking chef came to help us choose our menu. What a great surprise with his recommendations. The food is individual freshly prepared. Pasta is steaming hot and seafood salad is loaded with a variety of seafoods. The Italian ham, melon, avocado, grapes and mixed seasoning greens are so fresh and appetizing. My future trip to Montreux and neighboring cities will definitely promise a return to Al Cilento!!

For dinner we split a Pork Milanese with Frits and a Calabrese calzone only made as a pizza so as to have less bread. Both were excellent! Truly the best meal we have had in a while. For desert we had a couple of items that I don't recall the names but they were also excellent. Mine was a pistachio ice cream with a nougat of caramel in the center, hers was meringues with vanilla ice cream drenched in espresso with whipped cream. I haven't seen her so happy in a long while! We enjoyed these with a couple of very large cappuccino's. I may never get back to this part of the world again, but if I do I will return here! There is one other review here, in Italian, and it's "not recommended" and so it is hidden. I read it. It's positive and it's accurate. No clue why they would hide it.
