I guess "Anytime Fitness" sort of started this trend, but this new wave of lifting gyms definitely refined their concept. Everything about dropping in to RTS was super easy. I sent a quick email to the owner telling them what I wanted to do, and I soon received a link with a waiver and payment instructions. After signing and paying the reasonable drop-in fee, I was sent a code that was good for 24 hours. I actually initially (accidentally) asked for the wrong date, and I called the same morning to get it changed. The owner was super prompt, and changed my date to that day within 10 minutes. When I got to the gym, the codes all worked and I was working out in no time. All in all, I was very happy with the process, it was super easy and and owner provides great customer service. The gym itself is great. They have pretty much everything you need for powerlifting and oly lifting. Their barbell selection is particularly good. There's also a lot of equipment, so even though there were five other athletes working out when I was, I never had to wait for anything. The bathroom was a bit small and was out of TP when I was there, but it's a common bathroom for the whole building, so I don't really blame the gym for this. There's a bus from Downtown Cincy that drops off right in front.

Not only that they had put both my children and out over another clients word on top of packing all my belongings up when they stated that my belongings would not be touched. It's sad that this suppose to be a domestic violence shelter yet when you are there you relive the trauma over and over again. Tiffany Wilson is the worse director ever she shouldn't even be in her position as she does not care if you have children or not or the fact that I contiually asked to speak with her about having to go to court against my abuser. I was there over three weeks and she was at the shelter one time. House of Peace in Clermont County is where I was at. I was called white privileged and a bad mom on top of other things by my roommate who was black and was told to leave the program because I used hate speech that I never said at all. So it's funny how when you get on their website they stay they eliminate rasicm And empower women because neither one of those things are true

I've been going to the gym here for a while now since I wrote my last review…read more I really enjoy working out here. The gym is small, without being too small. They always have enough machines, weights, and space. However, I usually come during the non-peak hours due to my work schedule and inability to wake up earlier than I have to in the morning. There are plenty of ellipticals, treadmills, and bikes in the cardio section and every weight machine and free weights that you could want to use. The pool is the largest pool of all the gyms downtown, with three lanes, there is always one open when I'm there. A plus is the jacuzzi and dry sauna. The staff is always friendly and with your membership you can take any of the classes they offer. I went to my first spinning class last week and it kicked my butt! Memberships are pretty affordable depending on how you pay and when you come. You'll pay as much as you do going to any of those big chain gyms, have a more personal experience, and know that you are also supporting a good organization.

As luck would have it, I won a 5-class pass from a Clear contest (I like contests and free stuff). I decided to check out a MOVE class without telling any of these friends because I wanted to experience my first class as if I was a new student. It was great! I love that the studio is small and mirror-less. There are ballet barres on each side and Annie, the owner, provides doubled up yoga mats, which you use for kneeling and lying on to do repetitive leg movements. But if you want to bring your own mat, go for it! Her music is a spot-on reflection of her personality and Amy B is right, she curses but you're doing it under your breath ;) In terms of cuing, she always reminds you when to point and flex your foot, which matters and if you want the details, ask her after class. With room for 4-5 students in the studio, you won't be able to cheat yourself and give up on the moves. You'll leave the hour class sweaty and pumped that you used all those little accessory muscles. Clear also offers restorative yoga, which is yoga at a slower pace and you hold the moves longer so you do actually work to keep the poses, but it is great for runners or those who have workouts that a little harder on the body. I had a great TRX class in which Paige tailored the moves to each of in the class since we weren't all at the same level of use. She also did a great job of telling us which body parts were working, how to move through and want postures to maintain (if no one tells you, you need a maintain a strong core). Clear is a small, but mighty studio that offers a variety of classes in a very welcoming tone, where the students come to know each other by name.

Walking into my first class at Clear, I had no idea what to expect. What I got was an amazingly small class with a super energetic instructor and an intense workout. Heads up: Annie is a lot of fun and is totally herself... complete with potty mouth. She says those curse words that you're thinking during that last leg lift at the end of your 6th set when every muscle is shaking. Maybe don't bring your Grandma unless Gram is down with the unfiltered expressions. Parking is metered on street, and there was plenty when I went after 6pm. The door to the class is accessed through the gym on the corner. Just head on in and hang out until Annie comes to welcome you into the studio. The studio only holds about 4ish students comfortably so you get a very personalized experience! The MOVE class I attended worked our butts and guts and the fun music mixed with Annie's commentary made the whole experience incredibly enjoyable! I felt muscles I didn't even know existed and will definitely be back to get those newly discovered muscles into shape!

You can either do personal training sessions or classes. This is not a gym where you go workout by yourself when you want. I went to a circuit class that lasted 60 minutes including stretching at the beginning and the end. The first half is 8 stages of exercises focused on weight training. You do each exercise and then repeat the round for a total of three times. Each stage is 40 seconds on, 20 seconds rest. With a break after each round. The next half is very similar but with cardio, 20 seconds on 10 seconds rest. Man could I feel the burn at the end! After the class was over, Josh our instructor (who I also found out is the owner), stayed to take his time and answer so many questions for us and show us some extra tips. He went the extra mile and took his own time at no cost to us to help out and make sure we had a good experience. This is definitely a place to go if you're looking for results. These people will help get you there. Your first class is free, and they even have a great introductory rate for your first 3 personal training classes! (I'll be signing up for those)!
