They have a fantastic indoor aquatic center. We visited on a day pass. I came with my husband and toddler. We came on a weekday when most schools were in session so it was practically empty. The pool was heated to a comfortably warm temperature. They have both men's, women's, and family locker rooms. The family locker room was great because they had individual rooms that you could go in and fully close the door. My toddler loved the little slide, the water feature, and the lazy river. A top notch facility for working out whether weight lifting, walking, jogging, swimming or whatever else. Lots of classes daily to drop in on and October to May there's a cafe to get a snack or full meal. On-site post office and senior center for weekday dominoes, mah Jong, or cards. Several membership plans available . Some covered by Silver Sneakers. A premier plan also gets you into the outdoor pool free all season. One complaint: The number of people who sit on a weight lifting machine and read their phones for 5-10 minutes while you're waiting to use it. Staff does not say anything to them unless you bring it to their attention. They treat the machine like it was a library easy chair. read more

The facilities are very nice but the staff can be rude. That really shouldn't happen at a community facility like this.

Great facility, but insensitive to Veterans. I have reached out to management to change the television stations which depict war and violence, but nothing has changed. With all the different channels to choose from, they continue to show news channels which triggers PTSD for several veterans, who now avoid the Center. The Community Center can do better. If the News is so important to some, listen on your own device, rather than triggering trauma in those who have served our country. It's an easy fix. read more

Very nice facility. Need more management of the walking track, though. It's not a city sidewalk where you stroll with your friends or look at your phone. If people would pay attention to the signs, be courteous and aware of others, and stay in the marked lanes they're supposed to, people could get a good workout there. read more

This place is for mainly Mason residents. They do allow others to go there but the price is too steep for me.

Had a great time here up until the very end. Staying in town with family and the facilities here were super nice. Played pickleball for a few hours and went to cool off in the pool. Toward the end of our visit(around 7 when the pool closes) a lifeguard came up to our party claiming to be the manager and scolded us for "jumping over the barrier" I myself hadn't done anything but swam around, so I asked her if she was talking to me. She replied rudely with "of course Im talking to you" when I calmly explained that I had just been swimming around, she super loudly barked at me to "get out NOW" I complied, got out, and went to talk to her privately and quietly. I told her politely that I meant no disrespect and was curious as to why I was kicked out. Apparently it was for "attitude." God forbid I ask why I'm being yelled at. She made a bunch of rude comments about the people in my party and told of "receiving complaints all day" despite our pool time only being around 45 minutes. Until this person is either retrained ot removed I wouldn't recommend the pool. Had fun, played pickleball, but had the end of my trip spoiled by a power tripping employee. read more

Most of the staff in this place is awesome but I don't appreciate getting belittle and yelled at by an older couple on the gym floor, then having a staff member come up to me and tell me that I am in the wrong. then proceed to stand there and gaslight me. She needs to go through conflict resolution training or needs to be let go. I've been going here for 5 years and have never seen such unprofessionalism. truly appalling. read more

First the GOOD - For the money (value) this place is stacked! One of our first priorities (at the moment) is good child care and hours. You will find it here if you plan to work out as a couple or swim etc. There's a Cafe, Post Office, Gift Shop, Indoor Swimming Pool, Hot Tub, Climbing Wall, Indoor Track, Basketball Courts, Gym with aerobics equipment etc. ... most anything you would need or find at a modern YMCA. The value is great for your average fitness buff and herein lies my problem with this place. My wife and I are NOT average. She competes in NPC Masters Figure Competitions and I in Powerlifting Competitions for the past 32 years. While the gym has great aerobics equipment and SOME of the weight machines will do ... the free weight area is a joke (based on what we are accustomed to). There are barely enough free weights for the usual 12-15 people there every night. The weights and Olympic bars are sub-par; there is one set of dumbbells; there are no fixed weight bars for curling (lunging) etc. and after being told three months ago fixed bars had been ordered and a power rack is on the way ...we have yet to see either. There is just ONE flat bench press and no power rack and a mere two squat racks. I know ... so why are we even here? Again, purely because of the child care hours and location. read more

I ended up taking my business elsewhere. My family had the community basic passes and they are incredibly expensive relative to every other gym in the area. In addition to that, with the basic pass you have to pay per class you attend. The gym is very spacious but everybody and their mother comes here and quite frankly, because of that you have to wait for the equipment you want to use. It is busy constantly and we were paying too much for the gym being packed. Everyone who I know had it when we all went to the high school because it was almost a social thing, but I do not know anyone who kept their pass after they graduated. We all go to other gyms now. read more

The entrance is NOT where the sign is... You have to go back to the medical area to get in. It's a bit confusing but once you figure out where you are it's not too bad. The interior is REALLY nice with tile floors, gorgeous wood accents and many big windows to let in tons of glorious sunlight. The Mason Community Center is great for residents of all ages, they've got an about average amount of fitness equipment, a small rock wall, lots of courts, a big indoor pool with some play equipment and classes/clubs. I think I saw a cafe in there too - wouldn't surprise me. On this particular visit I was just stopping in to get my CPR card - thanks to being a resident the class to get CPR/AED certified is totally free (and can run up to $75 at some places!) However it takes them a few weeks to actually print the card and give it to you. I'd give the community center a 4 star however the massive amount of gum on the interior floor around the door was disgusting - it actually makes me sad that other residents would be so inconsiderate, but also sad that much of it hasn't been cleaned up. Gross and sad all rolled up into one. read more

Wow! Wow oh wow. My dad loves the pools here and now I see why he raved about them. The indoor warm pool gives kids a crazy cool play area and offers lap swimmers their own special lanes. I'm amazed. They have the requisite freezing lap pool for ultra swimmers too, but I appreciate the option of warmer lap lanes. The lazy river is reason enough to exercise here. Brilliant place! read more

Finally, a place where our whole family can get so much fun under one roof! I am very happy with our decision to join and wouldn't trade our membership for the world. There is so much that our kids love to do here and the rock climbing wall is awesome! The fitness area is awesome, the walking track, and the classes...I just can't say enough good things about the community center. read more
