Just joined because it's really the only climbing gym in the area. So far I'm really not liking it…read more Bouldering: In terms of bouldering, the routes are difficult, which is fine, but the wall is also sand paper so you'll get scrapes if you're pushing yourself. Additionally the routes are ridiculously condensed which both makes it easy to bang your hand or knee going for power moves and makes it confusing to tell which rocks are in each route. Top Rope: I've only used auto-belay because I just moved here and don't have any climbing partners. Given how difficult the bouldering routes are, it's crazy how easy the top rope routes are graded. Most people seem to come to this place in groups and I assume that the regular top-route and lead routes are graded more difficult. If so I'll update my rating later. Overall, my biggest problem is the vibe. I came from a very friendly and supportive bouldering gym in Cleveland (shoutout Nosotros) and this place does not compare. It's expensive and super corporatized. Hopefully, I meet some nicer people soon, but at the moment there is just something off about this place that I don't think reflects the climbing community as a whole.

The pool was heated to a comfortably warm temperature. They have both men's, women's, and family locker rooms. The family locker room was great because they had individual rooms that you could go in and fully close the door. My toddler loved the little slide, the water feature, and the lazy river. This was a fantastic activity on a cold day!

They're very knowledgeable about what they do and are more than willing to impart their wisdom onto you! The facilities are well kept and offer nice hygiene items in the bathrooms such as hair ties and nail files. I'm thankful they got a new water fountain because they've had several issues with it the past month. Only issue with facilities that is ongoing is that in the men's bathroom, there is an odor around the sink that smells like a bad P-pipe. As for the actual climbing, I have to say that it is perfect. I'm not much of a boulder guy anymore but those are very well set. In regards to the top ropes, they are well done and challenging whilst maintaining their entertainment value. I've only been to three places for rock climbing, but I think RQ beats the others to a pulp! Phenomenal work RQ staff!

I'm giving this place 4 stars, but it's because of certain things that work simply for myself -- I…read morecould totally see someone else feeling very differently. Pros: It's never packed, and I do mean NEVER PACKED. Unlike LA Fitness/Planet Fitness you never have to worry about crowds or not being able to use any machine. If all you want to do is cardio (I wouldn't recommend that) they have all types of the cardio machines! I personally like to use the basketball court, just to shoot around. I don't have any interest in being competitive - again it's rarely used. Now that is subject to change due to volley ball or some other sport during certain times of the year. Staff has always been friendly and helpful, for the most part, depends on what staff member you get. They have two indoor fields, that get used rather often, I've gotten mixed messages. I was under the impression that since I have membership, I can use them with the lights on during non-soccer events. However, one lady told me if I want the lights on I'd have to request the space? Weird. They also have a large outdoor soccer field, I've used it a few times freely to get a jog in. Cons: Some of the gym equipment is very old, pretty sure I used a chest press machine they have in there when I was in High School (going back nearly 20 years) Also the air ventilation in the gym area isn't great -- I don't care personally. If you don't sweat during a workout, you aren't doing it right! It depends on what you are looking for, I generally don't like people, so for me this is the perfect spot LOL!

Great parking and lots of space with a nice (but small gym), gymnasium with basketball courts, playground, baseball field and so much more. Cons: gym hours start at 11am and many people like to workout I in the morning. I would be willing to pay Moore for earlier hours. They did fInally extend evening hours to 9pm which was good. There is a big open field which is nnicy maintained. Please consider a fenced dog park! There are a ton of condos in the neighborhood and it would get so much use. The pool is not open on sundays. It's a great facility but the city isn't using it to the full potential.

Once inside, you will be able to rent/buy any equipment that will get you (safely) up the walls. It had been a long time since I climbed so I did take the quick belay course $6 and was climbing up the wall in no time. If you just want to climb on the shorter walls (called bouldering) you will not need to have a harness or take the class. You will need to buy a day pass $10 or some other membership. Shoe rental is $4 and I skipped that as I did it in a pair of vibram five fingers shoes. The only other cost for rope climbing is for a harness ($4). So, for either $20 or 24 you can find yourself climbing up one of the various walls, each with its own unique challenge. Some of the walls are really difficult and some are just difficult enough that you will feel really proud of yourself if you can reach the top. And pay no attention to those around you that scale the walls like spiders, they were just like you once. The vibe is really chill and people are friendly and able to offer advice if you need it. I recommend taking breaks every once in a while so that your arms can rest and watch other climbers. My best tip is to use your legs, they are much stronger than your arms and will really get you up the wall. Climbing is very challenging and I really find it both frustrating and rewarding. You will have fun (go with some friends: they do have group rates) and get a workout too!
